Thrice Married Woman: Han Ga-in out, Song Ji-hyo in?

This drama sure is going through a heck of a merry-go-round of casting calls. Are they just really picky or is there something else going on behind the scenes? We’ve got another swap-out for the new Kim Soo-hyun drama Thrice Married Woman — Song Ji-hyo is being courted to replace Han Ga-in as the heroine — and there’s the possible addition of Jo Han-seon (Invincible) to the cast.
The new family weekend drama from hit writer Kim Soo-hyun (Childless Good Fortune, Thousand Day Promise) has been unofficially casting for a few weeks, complete with script reads with the maybe-cast, but since then, Chun Jung-myung and now Han Ga-in have dropped the show. I’m not too broken up about it though. Song Ji-hyo’s still a maybe as well, but she’s spunky and fun, and I can see her doing well in a family drama. If she signs on, she’ll be playing Eom Ji-won’s younger sister and the main character in a large ensemble cast. And if Ha Suk-jin sticks with the project, she’ll be partnered with him in the romance department, which would be cute.
I don’t know how likely Jo Han-seon’s casting is, since he’s pretty strictly a movie guy for nearly a decade now. He did almost make his army comeback in JTBC’s Heartless City, but that fell through. He might be more open to a drama since being away for two years, though for now I’m taking all casting notices for this show with a huge grain of salt. If he takes the project, he’ll be paired with Eom Ji-won romantically. (He actually did a cameo in The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry as Park Jin-hee’s ex-boyfriend because of their Sweet Lie connection, but I’ll laugh if he then romances her drama bestie in a new show.)
If it ever secures a cast, Thrice Married Woman will premiere in November on SBS.

Same here! I've never liked Han Ga-in, but I can totally get behind Song Ji-hyo!! Suddenly this drama is looking a lot more interesting. I hope she takes it.

Great jawline/chin.
There was an ep of Family Outing which had JHS and Kim Sung-soo as the guests - which isn't shabby (having 2 of the top 3 K-actor hunks - the other being Oh Ji-ho).
It was a fun ep of FO, but KSS had this cool, laid-back thing going on whereas JHS was like an eager puppy.
The part where the 2 dress in drag with the male members of FO in order to lip sync girl group K-pop songs is simply hilarious.

and i was rooting for him all the way in temptation of wolves...because i just wanted kim dong wan for myself. heh.

which wants is true??..theres some people say no dicussion yet about sjh..but i think its good too if jh accept the role..i don't know why sjh carrier as actress doesn't seems good..just like her past drama with lee dong wook i don't see many peoples talk about it tho that drama its good n not to mention both are so popular...but i can see sjh still need to polish her acting skill..its good if she accept this role bcoz its different from her others drama..serious n historical..i wants to see something new from her as a fan.

Jo Han-seon was almost in Cruel City?!!! Whoa. Jung Kyung-ho turned in such a flawless performance that I literally cannot picture anyone else playing Baksa, but it's interesting to think of how the role would have turned out with another actor (still can't picture it though)

I miss Jo Han Sun, the last drama I watched of him is A Good Man and it's so awesome. Hopefully he'll confirm to be in this drama, I don't care too much for the female lead, as long as JHS is in, I'm in :)

Watching Song Ji Hyo in dramas is frustrating. You know she can show more expression than she does, but she always seems to pick roles that require her to be either stern and stuffy or mild but stuffy whenever she's on screen. In the last fifteen minutes of 'Jackal is Coming' she did more acting and more vivid acting than she did in the entire run of Baek Dodo the Suffering Hero.

I know her since Wishing Stairs and for me she looks the best playing a baddas roles just like in Goong, Jackal and in Running Man for sure..I think Ji Hyo will be good too if she plays an action drama/movie..If u watch Jackal u can see her little action at the end of that film, damn she's looks so good and sexy! BTW, happy 32nd birthday to our ace Mong JiHyo!!!

Yes, Ji Hyo is great on Running Man... but honestly, her acting has never wow-ed me. None of the dramas she has been in has really convinced me that she can act. ;/ So I'm on the fence with this drama if she's the lead.

Wasn't going to watch, at all, with Han Ga In as the lead, but now that Song Ji Hyo is considering it, I'll consider it as well. I still can't get over that she was the rival girl in Goong....And the third wheel queen in Frozen Flower.

Song Ji Hyo's character in Goong was shot so peculiarly. I couldn't tell if the director hated her or had a crush on her. In most of her scenes the director shot Ji Hyo like a still life or a slow motion CF.

Song Ji-hyo! I am officially interested in this drama (yes, purely bias speaking). I love Ji-hyo to pieces so if the plot is somewhat worthwhile then I'll watch it. (MoH was completely away from my genres of interest so I couldn't watch it even for her).

Ehh from one bad actress to another. Truthfully I've not watched Han Ga In in anything that close but Song Ji Hyo her acting leaves a lot to be desired. She was in a wonderful movie New World, she has a hard time bringing any life to her characters. Hopefully they keep looking ㅋㅋ

thank goodness Han Ga In turned down the role. I'm her fan but this drama with its premises plus the fact that its a weekened drama (its possibly a lot of episodes), i dont think i can watch it - esp that the leading men mentioned aren't of my liking and without offense, not that popular. She's pretty and popular, thus a handsome guy with a good drama background should be paired with her. I want her drama to be successful.
Jo Han Seon, i like him in A Better Tomorrow and Temptation of Wolves, but like Kang Dong Won better. If he will romance Song Ji Hyo in this drama, then can we have Kang Dong Won romantically be paired with Han Ga In? that would be truly, truly great!!!

variety show such as Running Man brought people's real personalities up. Along with the show,Song Ji Hyo proves that she's an entertainer not just an actress. And for dramas and movies,she just picked the wrong one,i suppose. Havent watch New World,but it gathered attention and the actor got an award even. Have watched Jackal, the storyline kinda awkward so please dont blame the actors and actresses only;)
