Dramabeans Meetup in Seattle

Maybe you missed our first Dramabeans Meetup in New York, or couldn’t swing by our second in Los Angeles, or didn’t make it out to KCON 2013 to see us there.

We can’t promise we’ll make it everywhere, but we’re trying! If you’re in the Seattle area, we hope you’ll come see us at our next meetup, which we’ve got planned for next weekend. Got Saturday afternoon free? Come chat with me and girlfriday (sadly, gummimochi and HeadsNo2 won’t be there—it’ll be a mini-meetup without them!) and other drama fans.

The details:

Date: Saturday, September 21
Time: 2:30 to 5:30 pm
Location: Ballard Library, Meeting Room
Address: 5614 22nd Ave. N.W.
                Seattle, WA 98107
(directions)

The meeting room is just inside the main entrance to the left. The library has a parking garage, and there is paid and unpaid street parking.

I do enjoy the fact that our NYC meetup was at a bar, our LA one at a mall, and our Seattle one at a library. Seems fitting, doesn’t it? Almost like it was planned that way. (We totally didn’t plan it that way.)

Hope to see you there!

When, when is Sooyoung going to act in another drama. It has ended two months ago but I'm still starving pff.

It sucks living in France, seriously. All good stuffs are happening in USA (or Korea lol).

Speaking for most European fans when asking for consideration of a future meet up over on this side. Anywhere is easy to get to in Europe, if you are in Europe.

I can even host you guys in Geneva if you make the meet up these sides. And we can retrace Seo-jin and the Grandpas tracks through Switzerland.

Think about it?

I will be so up for this meet up! Sounds fab touring Europe :3 I have family living in Italy ;D But I live in Australia so if this Europe meet-up ever happens it would be best if its during a break like in December or January :3

You have made my morning Javabeans and Girlfriday. I will be there! I can't remember if the Ballard library meeting room allows food. I will look into that. I bake and would be happy to bring stuff. What brings you wonderful ladies to the lovely Pacific Northwest? Or is this the only reason? Well, whatever the reason I am grateful for the chance to meet two of my favorite blog writers in person and I would love to meet some fellow Kdrama fans (addicts! Who am I kidding) from the Seattle area. See you Saturday!

Baked goods sounds like such a great idea! I would love to contribute something as well :) Yay, I'm glad they're coming here

0

Required fields are marked *

Food is allowed! And drinks that aren't alcoholic.

We'd love baked goodies! We can supply the coffee -- wouldn't be a 'beans party without some java (or liquor... but yunno, don't want to get banned from the library).

Wouldn't be appropriate to skip coffee in Seattle for that matter!

Hmm what can I bring across the border for this shindig...

0
reply

Required fields are marked *

Will you be doing one of those "Who's Showing Up?" polls the closer to the date? I would definitely love to bring some baked goods too, and it'd be nice to have an idea of how many people are showing up so we can bake accordingly. (Though who am I kidding? At my house the motto is usually, "Go big or go home" haha!)

0
reply

Required fields are marked *

JB / GF Now don't you worry your pretty little heads about bringing anything. Please let us handle all the food and beverege details as a small gesture to say 1) thank you for all you do for us, and 2) we're so happy you're visiting Seattle.

I'll bring the coffee. Starbucks, unless anyone has another suggestion.

YAY!!! umm, why the ballard library in the afternoon? no makgoli and soju? no sushi and karaoke?

while we seattleites are known to devour the most books per capita - there are more "fun" places that could be an option for the meetup...

i mean, in the library, won't we have to whisper?
; )

Hi Sarah,

We could possibly meet at the Redmond Library and go from there. If Dramabeans makes another confirmation post, we could post there and confirm, or check back this thread. Unless Dramabeans has a way for us to communicate directly so we don't have to post our whereabouts for all to see :)

Can't wait to meet everyone, as it looks like there are quite a few from the eastside too! I am not an active poster, but have been an avid reader and follower since the Coffee Prince days!

I've been making a lot of them lately. Mostly custom favors. Was thinking of trying to come up with a yummy makgeolli cupcake. ID required. :-)

0

Week got crazy and not enough time to experiment in the kitchen. Will be picking up some minis.

Spazmo, if you see this let me know what your favorites are...

0

i'm bringing 16 cupcakes from trophy - was going to do the minis, but i'd have to get a dozen of only ONE FLAVOR... so... as for YOUR cupcakes, do what your heart desires! actually, i can't handle sweets well, but i figure everyone else can.

psssst... a friend is going to try to make soju jello shots. hee hee hee...

0

Cupcakes sound good!

I can bring cookies, and...kettle corn? The Redmond Farmers market has really good kettle corn, and it's on Saturday so it will be fresh! And I'll see how much I can bake prior to Saturday's meetup!

See you all there!
