Oh Snap! Lee Min-ki’s pama hair

Wow. That’s… something. I don’t know what exactly it is that died on his head, but RIP little guy.

Here’s Lee Min-ki attending the February 13 press conference for his new movie Monster, in which he plays a serial killer, co-starring actress Kim Go-eun. It releases on March 14.

i didn't think one could get worse than gu jun pyo level. I'm debating whether or not it beats out mi-rae.

He looks like he could play a vampire scholar..

And that is yet another way of uglifying a handsome man. It's so bad you can't even it an ahjumma hairstyle. It's in a category of its own.

Yeesh. Someone needs to do some talking to his hairdresser/stylist. (He looks like he's about to ride his Harley into the sunset.)

I'm loving the 'Oh Snap!" posts though I feel horrified as I laugh at the pictures XD

Yes! I immediately got the Gu Jun Pyo vibe too... maybe it's the first thing his character in the movie killed, the corpse of which he kept as a trophy on his head.

Just imagine what would happen if he showed up to the press conference with a good haircut -- the entire audience would be reduced to a quivering pile of goo by his shear gorgeousness. His stylist saved a lot of lives that day.

She looks totally old school beautiful. Her outfit, hair and makeup are really 80/90's. The only thing that screams modern are her shoes.

0

Required fields are marked *

She totally is! The sight of the two of them (minus his hair) is almost making me wish this was an old-school romance, because you know the chemistry would be SO good.

(though I actually think the premise of Monster, as it stands, is more interesting)

Sometimes I wonder if these beautiful people are just trying, with their uber-ugly hairstyles, to make themselves look uglier so us common people don't feel so pitiful for ourselves.

Somebody please rescue my Min Ki from that thing that has attached itself to his head! Oh, the humanity! Oh, the horror! Min Ki manages to pull off a lot of weird hair better than most K actors because he is so quirky and cool. But this is going too far. To my eyes, guess I like quirk, he is the most beautiful man alive and one of my absolute favorite actors. So, I really hope this hair style goes away very soon.

I didn't think anything could distract me from his dazzling good looks short of a clown nose, but then along comes this hair style.

If he wanted to do something far from his pretty boy parts so far, then he succeeded. Shiver. Come back to us, oh handsome one. You should be the hero not the killer.

Gu Jun-pyo's hair was definitely better...it had volume and finesse! ;P The hair on Lee Min-ki looks frizzy and limp...like a badly done Jheri curl.
Mi-rae's hair looks better than this...I don't think I've seen badly curled hair like this on anyone, unfortunately for Lee Min-ki :(

"Monster" : Revised Script

After a massive manhunt, the suspect is finally cornered, but a thorough body search produces no murder weapon, and the cops are at their wits' ends until a smart young cop notices a suspicious object sticking out of the suspect's "beautiful curly hair""(in the cop's own words). But the object is ensconced so tightly in the curls that police are forced to call for back up: a professional hair stylist, who proceeds to apply liberal amounts of straightening lotion to the curls, and to wait for a further three hours before the straightening lotion starts to work its magic, and cries of satisfaction and shock echo around the interrogation room, as out of the masses of dank sweaty smelly straightened hair emerge, in succession, a dead grey pigeon, a skinny green frog, drawing its last breath, and, finally, the last: a wicked-looking dagger, with a blood-stained tip...

LMK said, "It would've been better if I didn't meet KGE in this movie. I was a fan since "A Muse". Now I see her as crazy woman named Bok-soon and I'm scared". In return, KGE said, "His passion is amazing. There were a lot of tough scenes but he never showed signs of being tired or annoyed. He laughed when he was hit during a scene even though it hurt him".
Lee Min Ki described how he worked to transform into a ruthless killer (the behind-the-scenes story of how he lost 17kg (approx. 37.5 lbs) in order to best portray his character):
“Taesoo, my character, is very keen and edgy, so I thought it would be best to just be in the same state as the character than acting out the lines. I gained some weight and then lost 16-17kg. My total body fat went down to 4% at one point, so I became very edgy. I thought it would help me to portray a killer naturally.”
LMK also underwent hard training for a scene where he exposed his entire backside. He had to lose weight and exercise in order to make his back thinner. “The director wanted me to have a model figure. While doing the shoot, I sat with my back against the camera. I almost got a little bit upset when he suggested I sit to the side.” “My abs disappeared after July 20. However, my body has change from the physical training.”
