Joo Sang-wook signs on for Trot

Joo Sang-wook (Sly and Single Again) has taken the lead in the movie Trot, in the role previously offered to Choi Jin-hyuk (who opted to sign up for the Fated to Love You remake instead). Joo’s character is a bicycle deliveryman who begins working in Seoul’s Hwanghak-dong marketplace after enduring a painful experience.
At first, he keeps to himself, laboring diligently and saving all of his earnings, but he soon becomes entwined in the lives of those he delivers for. The actor will collaborate for the first time with movie vet Ahn Sung-ki (Broken Arrow), who will play a Hwanghak-dong bookstore owner.
Joo said, “I was really attracted to my character, who gets mixed up in the lives of the warm and honest market people.” He continued, “I’m excited to work with Ahn Sung-ki sunbae and the rest of the cast; I think we can make an enjoyable product.”
Trot will delve into the minor issues and romances of those who work at the market, and I can already see Joo Sang-wook as the tortured soul who finds hope again as he begins to help others. I’m not even sure where trot music comes into play, but overall I’m getting a positive, happy vibe from articles on the movie, and I hope Trot will deliver.

why did Choi Jin Hyuk choose a drama series (and being a second lead) over a movie? Because I think a drama series is for popularity, and a movie is for quality... I thought he seeks for quality. well only he knows.

Not sure, but it could have something to do with him preparing for the army soon. If I remember correctly he is at the age where he will soon be going. So while a movie that's possibly released while he is in the army can be a good thing, it still helps to do dramas that are more mainstream to keep him more in peoples minds just before enlisting.

I don't have the slightest interest in Trot untill Joo Sang Wook's name is being mentioned and confirmed. He has one of the most beautiful smiles in kdrama land.

after watching all joo sang wook tv drama - series and movies i am still looking forward to watch him again in ten series three! i really miss detective yeo and baek a lot. but still i am very happy to hear that he is making a movie. hope to see him more often as a combined actor and comedian he is worth watching korean leading man! i want to see his charming smile again.
