She’s So Lovable adds more friends and love rivals

We’ve got more casting additions to SBS’s new music industry drama She’s So Lovable, starring Rain as a songwriter-producer agency president and Krystal (Heirs) as an aspiring singer. Following Im Joo-eun’s recent exit from the love triangle, actress Cha Ye-ryun (Gold Rainbow) has signed on to play the heroine’s rival, which makes it a reunion for her with the PD-writer team from Dr. Champ.

She’ll play a director at the agency who is sharp and professional, and harbors a one-sided crush on Rain. It seems like familiar territory for her, though I’d consider it a step up if she played a second lead who didn’t lie and cheat her way to the top. Her character is described as wealthy to begin with though, so perhaps her haughtiness is the only thing we’ll have to worry about as she clashes with the heroine.

At least Krystal gets a bestie in Lee Cho-hee, who was most recently in Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit and also played supporting roles in Wonderful Season and Age of Feeling. She plays a makeup artist who shares her tiny studio apartment with the heroine and is described as cute and quirky.

Rain also gets a best friend in Alex (Hotel King), who joins the cast as the agency’s vocal trainer in charge of their top idol group Infinite Power, led by Infinite members L and Hoya. It cracks me up that the cast is filled with so many pop stars that almost everyone goes by a single name, though I am glad they got a singer to play the vocal trainer. Also, I now demand an Alex-Rain duet to seal their bromance.

She’s So Lovable follows It’s Okay, It’s Love and premieres September 17.

I believe that there is a zoning requirement in Seoul that all heroines have roommates who are "cute and quirky."

I agree!!!! I was already stoked to hear Rain was returning to the small screen. Then they added my two favorite members of Infinite. And now they just added the cherry on the top with the casting of Alex. Already loved him from Clazziquai, but after seeing him in Pasta I was a gonner. Happily look forward to this drama.

Dramabeans should have a contest where we guess how many PPLs this drama would have during its run. Winner wins a cookie.

I think it's so sad that there's literally nothing that can sway my excitement for this even after the casting blues. I just want it on my screen already.

Also, yes please! Rain and Alex, Rain and Krystal, Rain and infinite. Everyone, I want an OST from everyone. It's a music themed drama, and I don't think Rain has ever contributed to his drama's OST in an official way. I really want this to be the first.

I had such a long and tiring day today. Just came back from work. But the very thought of this drama just channels my negative energy towards it instead. LOL. No longer irritated because of work. :') Perfect anger interceptor.

How do you go from someone as likable as Im Joo Eun to an energy zapper like Cha Ye Ryun? Meh. I like everyone else as idols and singers and hopefully a drama with them playing themselves to an extent will boost their acting too. If anything, there's a whole lot of pretty.

This Lee chohee. Can anyone tell me which characters she played in Age of feeling and Wonderful days? I don't seem to remember her.

I've just finished High Kick 3 yesterday, and I am glad to see Krystal again in this drama. After watching her in HK3 and Heirs, for me she always has good chemistry with her co-star. So I'm looking forward for this drama~~

I wish this isn't be another Heirs. Because Heirs was following Gong Hyo-jin drama *The Master's Sun*, and this time She's So Lovable will also following Gong Hyo-jin drama *It's Okay, It's Love*. LOL

Krystal fightingggg!

I'll be watching this one...hopefully it'll be better than Trot Lovers. I'm a fan of Krystal (she was like the lone bright spot in The Heirs) so I hope she won't disappoint.

I'm waiting it for INFINITE, regardless. Not a big fan of Rain but I don't dislike him. He's decent. Krystal has been so cute so I will watch.
