Name That Drama: Black eyes and movie stars

1. If ramu’s drama is what I think it is, it’s certainly worth watching!
   

   I have been struggling to find this drama ever since I saw a clip of it on TV. There is a woman who works as a housemaid with her daughter in a movie star’s house. The daughter has a crush on the star. The vibe between the movie star and that lady is kind of love-hate. There is some party in his house which the movie star’s brother throws for the woman. The movies star’s brother has a kid. The heroine is pretty though in her late 30s. I usually don’t find good dramas with older women and I really want to find it. Please help me.

    

2. Got a hint for Yeng?
   

   I think this is a pretty old drama, because I remember watching it about 10 years ago. I think the drama start off introducing the male lead who just graduated from college, and his mom and neighbors are celebrating. His mom is a single mom who raised him by working really hard, so she hopes that he can start working and help out. However, he decided to continue pursuing higher education. That’s all I remember about the guy. As for the female lead, I think she is a college student or PhD student, and she comes from a poor family, and had to work at a club/bar to support her tuition. I think the male and female knew each other before (maybe they are childhood friends?), and they were separated for a while, then they met again. I think they also go to the same college later.

   The male lead also has a girlfriend (or maybe she is just tagging along because she likes him), and she is from a wealthy family. After he had reunion with the main girl, he breaks up with the second girl. The main girls and second girls are friends, but later hate each other, which is very typical. I also remember the guy didn’t know the main girl works at the bar, and was mad when he found out. That’s all I remember, I hope I can watch the ending because I never finished it and it’s been stuck in my head.

    

3. Cecilia’s sounds fairly recent, though I don’t recognize it…
   

   I think it happened months ago but it hasn’t been a year, I watched on KBS Channel (if I am not mistaken) and there was a short/mini drama with about 10 episodes. The girl looked like Gu Hye-sun, I mistook her as Gu Hye-sun, but she was actually not.

   The story was about a girl who gave a tour to the tourists (still for the people in Korea, but different state) and the guy was originally from Seoul. The girl only lived with her grandmother, and her father was a murderer. She used to believe that her father wasn’t a murderer, but actually her father did it. Her father murdered that guy’s brother, and the guy’s mother really hated this girl through her father’s fault. I know I didn’t give many specific details to help, but it’s because I kind of forgot that drama already. I really love this drama. I hope you can help me 🙂

    

4. Donnah has a movie that sounds like an interesting mix of genres:
   

   Hi, I really want to look for this Korean movie that I saw 8 years ago, I think? The protagonist was a high school student. She has to marry a man with a certain name before she turns 16 or 18 or she would die. She was a reincarnation of a princess or something. The twist in the end was, they bore a daughter and their daughter turns out to be a reincarnation of Princess Nakrang (I think?) with the curse of a drum.

   Please! I really wanna watch the movie again. I wanna make a review out of it and it’s interesting. THANK YOU in advance.

    

5. I really want to shout out a name to ILOVEKDRAMAS, but I’ll leave that to you guys:
   

   This drama probably aired around 2012, the background is probably the Japanese Occupation of Korea or something. The lead male and the lead female knew each other when they were children but something happened and the lead male thought the lead female died. The lead male had a hyung, and the lead female had a knife that the lead male had treasured but gave to the her. I really liked this drama but can’t remember the name.

    

6. Cute. Help RC figure out where this scene comes from:
   

   I’m not totally sure if this was a Korean or American drama, though I’m pretty sure it’s Korean. Anyways, the main character (male) gets a black eye and makes the girl he holds responsible be his gopher/lackey/shuttle/etc until it’s healed. However, it does heal and he uses makeup to make it look like he still has a black eye in order to keep her around. The character may have been a celebrity since I vaguely remember a makeup artist assisting him. Please help!
