Lee Jin-wook confirms The Time I’ve Loved You with Ha Ji-won

Finally, leads are confirmed! Lee Jin-wook has officially signed on to SBS’s upcoming weekend drama and In Time With You remake The Time I’ve Loved You, 7000 Days, opposite Ha Ji-won (she’s been circling the project for a while and assumed to be a lock, but it’s always nice to get the final word).

The drama follows two longtime childhood friends (Lee Jin-wook and Ha Ji-won) as they mature through their twenties and into their thirties together, dating other people before they finally realize they ought to be together. Or perhaps it’s more that they actively have feelings for each other but are thwarted by bad timing or missed windows, since Lee Jin-wook’s character is described as “constantly failing in romance because of his friend of twenty years, Jang Hana (Ha Ji-won).” Aw, was he just friendzoned and unable to navigate his way out?

I was excited when Lee Jin-wook was first mentioned in connection with this drama, then confused when Rain was also announced as a contender, and back to happy with Lee Jin-wook. He’s got a dry sense of comic delivery and an exasperating charm that I always enjoy (even if it sometimes makes you want to throttle him. Or kiss him. Or both). (Also, I guess Rain’s now lost both his casting opportunities, since Yoo Yeon-seok took on Warm and Cozy. I like Rain well enough, but I’m not really sad about either case.) So yay!

The Time I’ve Loved You, 7000 Days will be scripted by a writer familiar with rom-coms (Min Hyo-jung wrote Full House and Rooftop Prince), and directed by Jo Soo-won of I Hear Your Voice and Pinocchio. It’ll premiere in June on SBS, after Divorce Lawyer in Love.

Sorta wanted Rain too. But Lee jin-wook isn't all that bad, atleast he knows how to kiss his co-stars silly.
The only thing I really do not want to see is a short hair on the female lead because I will scream my head off. Please dramagods, do me this one favour. I want to see Ha ji won's hair in something different, something sweet, romantic, wavy, curly.
Fighting!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha Ji-won has long hair now, just like the character of ITWT. It's gorgeous on her, I hope she won't have to cut it.

Yay this is the news I've waiting for! I haven't seen any of Lee Jin Wook's previous work but I'm just glad that they're banking on someone with less star power. I'm hoping he'll make me fan. Frankly if Rain was cast in the drama I would bee really disappointed!

EXCELLENT! I was prepared to be grumpy about whoever they chose because In Time With You is one of my Top 3 dramas of all time. But he's perfect! Now my only concern is that since Korea is so conservative, they're going to sanitize it a bit.

Li Da Ren put himself in the enemy role, when he already was in love with You Qing, when he was the Class VP to her President position. It all began because the girls hated the boys for how they treated one female student who was poor. Then he followed her to college to make a friendship happen and they had bad timing for years after that

Yesss! At least it's not Rain. Sorry, I can imagine him playing that wounded puppy part well but he just doesn't do it for me. I finished Full House purely to stare at Song Hye Kyo's gorgeous face. LOL.

A part of me is still sad over the fact that we can't see Gong Yoo playing Li Da Ren because he would definitely emote the hell out of that character but I'm content because I don't have any problems with LJW. Plus, I'd watch anything with Ha Ji Won in it. Hopefully they'll have as much chemistry as the original cast. HJW usually brings out the best in her co-stars so hopefully it'll be the same here. Yay, excited! ITWY is my favorite Taiwanese drama so please don't ruin it for me.

SCREAMING COS LEE JIN WOOK AS KR LI DA REN!!!
Really, really see him as Li Da-ren (if not Gong Yoo)! I really like the original version of this drama and I don't usually risk watching the adaptations/remakes but I badly want to see him and Ha Ji-won together so I wouldn't let this pass!
So excited and I agree with what people are saying that this is the best drama news so far.
Can't wait for June!!

WooHoo!

So happy with this pairing! Love my Ha Ji Won and I'm very pleased that Lee Jin Wok is the male lead, I find him very charming and not to mention his kisses are the BOMB! Just hoping he'll teach HJW a thing or two regarding kissing scenes. :P

@soapbox, please tell me an actress that you find exciting to watch. All of her dramas were very well received and she challenges herself to play different roles. She's considered a top actress that people want to work with and see for a reason.

Nothing you said negates what I said, in fact there's not even a correlation, so I don't get your comment. I never said she was a bad actress or that her dramas weren't well received. I also said that I like her. She's just not known to be an "exciting" actress, she's more mellow and solemn which is fine. But I feel she needs someone to balance that out while I think Lee Jinwook is too much of a bore to accomplish that.

So happy! Lee Jin Wook totally suits the role of Li Da Ren!

And Ha Ji Won, she's just the best.

I love HJW.How come she's not paired with A list actor? .Anyways, she always bring out the best of her co-stars.I still wish that she's paired with A-list actors as the other actresses.

That's the magic with Ha Ji Won regardless if she's paired with an A-List or not, she makes it happen. Then at the end, I love that her on screen partner gets to shine and receives a lot of love too.

As an 'In Time With You' big fan. I am satisfied with Lee Jin Wook, but not Ha Ji Won. I was actually hoping Lee Bu Young, she is perfect for the lead female role character T.T

Can Hollywood please cast Lee Jin-Wook or Jo In-sung or Kang Dong-won? They would carry so well with Americans audiences.
