Shin Mina, So Ji-sub sign on to rom-com drama Oh My God

Whoa, this drama came out of nowhere and somehow it’s managed to secure two big stars to headline, So Ji-sub (Master’s Sun) and Shin Mina (Arang and the Magistrate). I dunno how KBS pulled it off but I’m assuming there has to be a cracking story or script that lured the stars in, because the description alone is puzzlingly random.

The drama is titled Oh My God and features the two stars as childhood acquaintances, who meet again as adults. They for some reason embark on a diet challenge and end up falling in love in this romantic comedy “about finding love and health.”

I have no idea why gorgeous beings like So Ji-sub and Shin Mina are in need of a diet challenge to begin with, unless KBS is trying to scoop MBC (with She Was Pretty) in the ugly-turns-pretty-plotline category. Did everyone just get the memo that 200 Pound Beauty was a hit, nine years late to the game?

The drama is looking at a Monday-Tuesday slot on KBS, although the broadcaster explained that while the actors are confirmed, the show doesn’t have a timeslot yet. Although with these two actors confirmed, what’s the holdup, KBS?

In any case, I’ll be honest, I might not even need a plot to watch Shin Mina and So Ji-sub meet-cuting, bickering, and frolicking together in romantic bliss together. C’mon, it’s not like they’re even new to frolicking! I present, for your viewing pleasure, Exhibits A through OMG.

This is too perfect for words. I love them both and I'm so happy So Ji Sub is doing another romcom. He is basically perfect for them even though he wasted so much time in the melo department.

Ugh soo jealous.. Don't want anyone this pretty and cute around So Ji Sub..Well I can hold back the hating if Shin Min-A brings her A-game and makes this a winner. I like SJS with a bit of badboy badassery. Hope he shows his tough side a little even if it reads romcom on the tin...

Wow, this is random and I agree the script must be good!! That's the second thing I'm excited about. They are gorgeous together and separately and thankfully seem to be comfortable together already. I haven't watched Shin Mina in anything but I've always thought she's had such a heartwarming and genuine smile.

I dunno what I think about a drama about "love and health" though... health is important... but not that exciting out romantic... so. I dunno.

omgosh, i'm jumping up and down with this news lol, i had a lot to catch up and to read that Hwang Jung eum might come back with Park seo-joon this morning to this news, two of my favorite actresses coming back to dramaland yeah, i'll have something to look forward to the fall cuz the summer dramas except for high society aren't interesting me.

whatever they do, the drama will be cute and lovely.

i just hope it's not a 200 lb beauty storyline, cuz honestly i didn't like the movie at all. it's so ingrained by sk culture to be thin that it seems like the nation's poison. when i talk to my friend, it's diet & depression after blind dates. yet at the same time, she talks beer, kogi and honey chips. sk people love to eat & drink multiple locations in one night, so to me, as a non-krn, i think there's got to be a balance somewhere. not everyone i've seen in korea is like gu hara or taecyeon. nor should we starve ourselves to fit the image.

I just watched the CF where those last pics are from and daaaaang, they look good together...also holy god I forgot how hot So Ji Sub is. Whoever gets/has got to wake up to that face and body even once is truly blessed.

Finally!!! I am just so happy SO JI SUB will be coming back to dramaland!!! YES!! It's just a bonus that his leading lady is Shin Min Ah but I would have anticipate his comeback drama no matter what. SJS is one actor I really like and find really hot.

Anticipating for the drama now!! Who are the 2nd leads though?! Anyway they won't be hard up getting other cast when their leads are two top stars.

Wow, this is what you call daebak acting. But please guys, stop saying you would watch anything if them two are in it, because a good script is very very important. *cough* Hyde, Jekyll me, Warm and cozy, Time we were not in love.

We need to keep the directors and writers on edge to deliver perfect script and directing. So we can enjoy this super couple with ease without having to pull our hair out.
