Seo In-gook puts in a cameo appearance for Oh My Ghostess

Aw, yay! Seo In-gook, who recently wrapped up his run on the (underappreciated, sniff) KBS drama I Remember You, is heading over to tvN to put in a cameo on the hit rom-com Oh My Ghostess. It’s a friendly gesture for the PD and writer duo, who previously gave him such sparkling material to work with on last year’s quirky comedic romance drama High School King of Savvy, so he made some time in his busy schedule to put in a guest showing.
Seo In-gook’s cameo will come in the finale episode that airs this weekend, and he’ll play a handsome, elite, foreign-educated chef, which sounds like a role custom-written just to make our resident chef superstar (Jo Jung-seok) jealous. Which would be hilarious and adorable. I suppose if we couldn’t get him reprising his zany Savvy character (which would’ve been fun), I at least want him to provide comedy fodder for our lovable leading man.
It doesn’t sound like it’ll be a very long appearance, but I’ll hope it’ll be memorable and clever (I hate when hyped cameos end up being a five-second exchange and one line! What a waste). Especially since Seo In-gook can be so energetic and dynamic when you let him, and as we know, this producing team knows how to let him.
Oh My Ghostess has been having a great run thus far, with impressive ratings (breaking 5%) and generating lots of favorable word of mouth. (For good reason, I say; it’s not without its flaws, but it definitely has that bubbly, crackling buzz factor—lots of good fun.) It will wrap with Episode 16, which airs on tvN this Saturday.

I hate to admit it, but me too!!! LOL!
I just saw sous chef in High School King of Savvy and can't believe I forgot him there,... but then, SIG was shining brightly even then... ? others paled in comparison.

heh, you guys, I just noticed that our Estonian Idol this year, Jüri Pootsmann, looks a little bit similar to SIG. take a look and say if you don´t find him similar?

I was comparing the photos... yes, a slight similarity... face shape? ... the brows... shape of the lips ... the way they curve? I feel the intense look might give the greater impression of similarity too.

I would agree with you but his cameo character is described as
a handsome, elite, foreign-educated chef. I'm not sure if they are going to make him an evil ghost but your idea makes a lot of sense.

This was my first with Jo Jung Seok and I can't wait to see more of his work! He is a great actor full of charm. Chemistry between Jo Jung Seok and Park Bo Young made this gem even better! I will miss this drama...

At this point I dont care for IRY low ratings because it wons everybody's heart. IRY will go down as one of the most precious and breakout dramas of 2015.
There has been so many goods this year- Healer, Kill Me Heal Me, I remember you (wont mention Misaeng because its a legend)

We are all squealing in unison! Oh my ghostess… I feel like my soul is leaving me, turn into a ghostess and fly to SK already.
So this is how it feels when our oppa, umm I meant our bias, is so welcomed in a drama appearance. Its kinda sad when some people kind of being discouraged at the time SIG was casted in IRY in substitution of other actors. And in King’s Face too, viewers reaction to the female lead is uh flat, not to say quite harsh. So does in Savvy, and IRY as well, some said the pairing is off putting due to age gap.
Yes, regardless these initial doubts, SIG still shines. But here, oh I’m so happy that we are all in unison to give SIG such a rave welcome even only for cameo role. And now I understand why some wished SIG to be paired with Park Bo Young in OMG instead of IRY back then. SIG + TvN + Savvy team + Park Bo Young would be hilarious. But then, we wouldn’t get that forever sexy Lee Hyun.
I really write too much lately since IRY days. I feel like everywhere. This crave and craze over SIG is just too much to handle sometimes. Such a guilty pleasure for my eyes and fingers.
Oh and since TvN seems to love SIG, could SIG gives cameo in Reply 1988 as well together with Hoya? Make PBG puts up that cute pouting face against Hoya’s sweet smirk while fighting over Yoon Jae’s attention. LOL. Hilarious bromance crash.
Seriously SIG, just come on my screen asap!

i didnt know he would cameo so I was 15+alpha uber shocked when he appeared LOL! I love love love inguk! Thank you drama gods! Its a drama-free monday-tuesday for me now that IRY is over :( cant wait for his next drama! eep! hahaha!
I also love the 1988 reference :) I think its a shoutout to the reply series' upcoming third season :) i hope he and eunji cameo again in that series kekeke! :) its not too much to ask right? :))

It sure was nice having SIG in OMG finale. He z such a great actor. And Y z everybody forgetting that he was a lead role in KingsFace. Girlfriday u recapped just d first episode of DAT drama and left me hanging. plzzzz recap d rest episodes plzzzzzz Thanks.
