Yoo Inna offered MBC’s remarriage drama One More Happy Ending

Yay, she’s coming back! (Possibly, probably, she’s considering etc.) If she takes the offer, Yoo Inna’s next drama may be MBC’s upcoming divorced-people-finding-love-again series One More Happy Ending, which is good in that I like seeing more Yoo Inna in dramas, but a little disappointing in that she wouldn’t be the main leading lady.

That’s because the drama has already cast Jang Nara (I Remember You) to play the main lead who runs a marriage agency for divorced people seeking a second shot at love, with Jung Kyung-ho (Falling For Innocence) set to play a single dad reporter. On the upside, Yoo Inna’s character sounds like spot-on casting: She’s a former idol group member who’s now a wedding company president. It’s like you took a bunch of her past roles and smooshed them together (namely, Best Love’s idol and My Secret Hotel’s wedding coordinator).

After the character’s idol days came to an end when her group disbanded, she became a young wife and married into a wealthy family. Now as she enters her seventh year of marriage, she starts feeling that aptly named seven-year itch. Her character’s described as a lovely, serene type of person, which I don’t hate… I just think she’s way more charming in sassy, bubbly roles (Queen In-hyun’s Man was her at her best), but perhaps that’s part of her trajectory in the show? She rediscovers love and herself and perks back up? I can hope?

One More Happy Ending is scheduled to follow the newly premiered Sweet Savage Family, and premieres in January.

My Secret Hotel is another. But that's in tvN too. No such luck in major network. :(

Maybe this will be an ensemble? *cross finger*

I been about wondering that, I mean Queen in Hyeon seemed very popular? at lest outside Korea, was it not the same for Korea itself? I wonder if the dating the male lead thing and him doing army time somehow put some kind a taint on her reputation that the big TV three are reluctant to cast her in a lead role? Or is it simply she dosnt want the pressure of being in a lead role? I remember IU telling stories when they where on happy together that seem to indicate Yoo Inna may have some self worth troubles. It would not be to surprising given her long years trapped as a trainee, that it didn't leave some sort of mental issues about self worth on her part. Either way happy to see her on screen again, this drama going to overdose on cute if they not carefull!:-)

Oh, didn't know about her possible mental issues. Being a lead can be very stressful, especially when the ratings don't do well, the leads are the one that have to shoulder most of the blames from the media and such. Seeing how YIN is enjoying her DJ and hosting job, maybe it's the best for her at the moment? Tho, I do hope she will get to challenge meatier roles in the future.

I'm tired of Yoo In Na getting bitchy characters. I hope this isn't one of them. I love her in Queen In Hyun's Man, i love Jang Na Ra too and I love love Jung Kyung Ho. This is a must watch for me. Can we get Jang Na Ra and Yoo In Na to play besties instead?

Say no to bitchy 2nd female lead, drama! There's so much more conflicts in life rather than being that.

Jang Nara's role is an ex-idol group member too. I'm guessing they were either best of friends, or, oh well...

oh well, you know oh well... what i'm afraid of. She has been that.. done that and play that character in Greatest Love. I didn't need another one of that.

Cos this girl can do better than that.

Seconded. After watchin QIHM, her role in YFAS seemed to be a waste. She should play more upbeat characters. It's why Ive neen putting off watchin You Are The Best!

There's one news article saying that YIN's and JNR's characters are best friends. With YIN's character description, she's already got enough conflicts in her life without the need to antagonize the other. (I hope it can stay this way till the end)

Yes, she's so cute portraying sassy-bubbly persona. I miss watching her as leading lady, even her part in Secret Message is so short with no major story.

Agreed! She was adorable in Queen In Hyun's Man. She plays the bitchy role well, but she deserves the heroine spotlight as well.

Yoo In Na is sooooo much capable of lead role. I really enjoyed QIHM and MSH. Her talent is going to waste by playing b-side characters. Fucking pissed.

Why is tvn the only ones that offer her leading roles?

The thing about Yoo In-na is that she got her big break quite late into her career (think she was nearly 30 in QIM). It's unlikely she gets cast as a lead in a miniseries. If she does headline a show it's most likely going to be a weekend drama, where it's less of a risk casting lesser known actors. But there's the problem of age which limits her roles. Especially when there is a huge number of actresses in her age group, like her costars (quite an impressive list) Ha Ji-won, Gong Hyo-jin, Jun Ji-hyun and now Jang Nara. All of whom have awesome ratings records (eh hem, till recently). And there are others like Kim Hyun-joo, Han Ji-hye who are not averse to taking up makjang family dramas. She may also no longer get lead offers from tvN since now actors are more willing to act in cable.

It's sad that most female leads don't get there -or never- before playing numerous supporting characters.

Gosh, I hope this drama doesn't waste her potential like 'Man From Another Star' did. I've been waiting eons for her next drama role since the barely tolerated 'Secret Hotel', and I am excited to see her back on the silver screen.

She has so much potential which is sadly underutilized by the major networks. I hope they can develop this role into something substantial. I have hope. After all the second lead for 'She Was Pretty' was a likeable, more substantial role...

I like her more than Jang Nara... but I'm not sure I'd be all that sympathetic to someone with the 7 year itch - $10 says that they'll make the husband an asshole - so realistic, amirite?

I love Yoo In-na! Actually, I've only seen her in You From Another Star, but I liked her there a lot and she's BFFs with IU, haha. Queen In-hyun's Man is on my to-watch list mainly because of her.

This cast is shaping up very well! I'm looking forward to it!

Yes my fave actress is back! But please no I don't want her to be a bitchy second lead ? It says happy ending so there better be one for her as well ? Happy endings for Yoo In Na as well please! It's a shame that Yoon Hyun Min is doing My Daughter Geum Sa Wol, would love him to be with Kyung Ho again and have a loveline with In Na. ❤️

Aw I adore Yoo Inna! Hope she takes part in this drama. But I hope the character isn't all crappy and lame. -_-

I'm not sure how I even finished My Secret Hotel, but I did.

Personally I do not care for her. I do not understand why she has such a following. She is not pretty and is quite mediocre as an actress. I never liked her in any drama I have seen, and could think of a dozen actresses who would have done a better job than she did.

And now for the opposite point of view. She's beautiful. She's a great actress. I've seen her in 3 or 4 dramas, and I've enjoyed her in everything she's done. :D

Yoo In Na is wonderful and if she would take this, I'm sure I'd enjoy her. I do chime in that she could make a great lead but I guess she isn't popular enough. Honestly, though I love the girl and I'm sure as long as they don't side line her she'll be great.

I also hope her character has an interesting trajectory in store. Well...we'll see if she takes it first! Lol

But yoo in na. Hmm I am sad for this girl, it is very hard for her to get main lead?. But please writernim, pair her with someone. Cannot we have 2 love line in this drama? Don't make her wasted again. ??

Given the number of times I've actually preferred the characters and story lines for second leads (prime examples Boys Over Flowers, Miss Korea among others), I'm good with this.

Aw, yay. Just yesterday I started rewatching QIHM! After watching Ji Hyun-woo in Awl I couldn't resist going to watch him as Kim Boong Do again, lol.

So glad to see she's also getting going again. I actually really like this character description for her. Hopefully this drama doesn't disappoint!

So pleased that she is making a drama comeback, such a huge fan! ?❤

Wish she could be in a showstopping drama as the lead, it's a shame she isn't put forward for interesting and challenging roles.
My secret hotel, had the potential to be so much better, the waste ?.

Maybe this character will be like she was pretty, trying to find her own passion, reclaim her identity. Or the lead in I'm a legend, it was really moving to see her stand up for her beliefs, without the love triangle stuff.

Have seen YI in several things and have yet to be impressed by her acting (guess it helps to have been in mega hit, even if vastly overrated); don't think she's particularly pretty either.

So that's it...Yoo In Na playing the 2nd female lead AGAIN! Like someone said here, this is all due to her late debut. She is really "old" right now and never got a lead role outside cable channel. She probably never will, unless it's in a weekend drama or in a weekly drama (with more than 100 episodes of 30 minutes). That is because, like the person said, these kind of dramas can take the risk of putting less known actors as their leads. Actually, we often see pretty bad actors in weekly dramas. It's great for rookies, but for someone like Yoo In Na is a setback. It's still better for her being the second female lead in miniseries from KBS, SBS and MBC than female lead in a family drama...

Anyway, what really annoys me about this drama is that Jang Na Ra will play the lead, but she is a really bad actress. She has always been bad, but, just because she has an innocent face and a longer career, she gets the lead. It's about time koreans stop idolizing actors who are not good just because they are pretty and have a long career. Like Han Ga In, Jang Na Ra...It's about time koreans value more talent than seniority and beauty.
Yoo In Na is a million times better than them, but unfortunately debuted too late (we can only blame YG).
