Kim So-yeon, Lee Pil-mo courted for MBC weekend drama

I like that Kim So-yeon (Falling for Innocence) is choosing lighter fare these days, though sometimes I do miss her badassery in action roles. She’s currently entertaining an offer to headline the new MBC weekend family drama All’s Well With a Happy Home, which I guess means that her stint on MBC’s variety show We Got Married is working out well for her (yunno, other than the obvious benefit of being faux-married to cutie-pie Kwak Shi-yang).
The drama will be about a family that owns a large restaurant in Chinatown, named (of course) All’s Well With a Happy Home. Kim So-yeon is considering a role as the family’s eldest daughter, a bright and happy older sister who’s dependable and looks out for her siblings. The drama is also courting Lee Pil-mo (Who Are You—School 2015) to co-star, which is great since he’s awesome and perfect for feel-good family drama. His role hasn’t been specified, so we’ll have to wait and see whether they’ll share a loveline.
Directing is PD Lee Dong-yoon (Fated To Love You, Queen’s Classroom, Feast of the Gods) and writing is Jo Eun-jung (Hotel King, Feast of the Gods). It seems fitting that the Feast of the Gods team will be reuniting for another food-related drama.
The series will be about a family that’s thrown into tumult over the threat of a divorce, and how they overcome it and learn to better understand each other. No matter how much they fight, they’re the kind of family that makes up over a warm bowl of jajangmyun. Great, guess I know what I’ll be eating when watching this drama.
All’s Well With a Happy Home follows Mom and premieres February 27.

"family that’s thrown into tumult over the threat of a divorce" oh how that speaks of my family as of now. The threat of a divorce and the threat of a cheating father... :( What a bad way to end our year. I hope 2016 is alot brighter.
Back to topic: Looking forward if both get cast. Love Kim So Yeon & Lee Pil Mo (such a cutie).

Just when I finished my PhD. I discovered that my parents are in their way to divorce due to my cheating father!
But still happy new year 2016 :) and escape of this awful situation by watching Kdrama :)
I am happy to see Lee Pil-mo again in drama. I hope Lee minhoo come back soon

hmmm, I was hoping for a RomCom.
Lee Pil-mo would be a great partner for her, if ever.
Though, I really love the faux romance with Kwak Shi Yang in WGM, my fave couple actually.

Kim So Yeon-Kwak Si Yang are my fave couple too. Both has sizzling chemistry not just in wgm stint, also in magazine pictorial bts as well as during red carpet/mbc entertainment award. I'll be tempted to watch them together in a drama.

Same here until I saw her in "Iris" and I saw her in a different light. She was badass in 'Iris' that I wished she was the main lead. I also like her in "prosecutor princess" too.

U should try I need a romance 3, I know sometimes we hate the vilan, but is just they did too well the role. Like I love Puff the taiwan actress but she was a pain in the ass in Miss Rose, I actually hated her there lol But she is very lovable in other dramas. Give her a chance.

Hah, I actually have the opposite image of her since I've only seen her in lighter fare (Prosecutor Princess, INR 3, some of Falling for Innocence). I always like her in her roles, she might be worth trying out in a diff image.
But All About Eve seems to have made an impact, I should try that drama out.

@Georgie, I hated her so much in AAE too. I "accidentally" saw her again while watching Iris and she stole the show.
Then I googled what's up with her because while I saw Chae Rim everywhere after AAE, there's barely any news about KSY.
She mentioned in interview that she did have difficulty getting projects after AAE because people hated her character so much. @____@ I think she even fell into a depression after that.
I'm glad she got Iris project and I hope you get to see her in much lighter fare. She really isn't a bad person at all! Just a character that was fun to hate in AAE.

Yup! Weekend drama is like long episode.. And it also boring. I hope this one not that kind of drama.. So, I can wait each episode with full attention. I do love Kim So Yeon acting in her dramas and she's never fail to give attention for her audiences..
