Kim Myung-min, Byun Yo-han consider reunion in movie One Day

Dragons, unite! It’s a little soon for a reunion when their 50-episode drama just ended this week, but I don’t think anyone will be complaining about seeing these two together again. Kim Myung-min and Byun Yo-han, who played Jung Do-jeon and his warrior bodyguard in SBS’s Six Flying Dragons, are up for a possible reunion later this year in the new movie One Day. It’s a Groundhog Day-esque plot, about a day that keeps repeating and two men who keep trying to save the people they love.

Both actors are looking at the project favorably and are in final negotiations, so it seems likely that a reunion is in store. The movie is a time-loop story about a day that keeps repeating, during which an accident takes place and two men lose their loved ones. Kim Myung-min has been cast to play a doctor whose daughter dies, and Byun Yo-han will play a man whose wife dies in the same accident.

I don’t know how both of them are conscious of the repeating day, but the movie is about them racing to save the daughter and wife. You just know they’ll be at odds somehow and they won’t be able to save one without the other dying or something, because Fate’s a bitch like that. If there’s anything I’ve learned from dramaland, it’s that there’s always a price for changing the past!

Directing is Jo Sun-ho, with assistant directing credits on The Webtoon and Descendants of Hong Gil-dong. One Day plans to finalize casting soon and shoot later this year.

Yup am a bit tired of the things-i-would-do-differently-but-it's-not-that-different-afterall kinda plot
However perhaps it allows the actors to portray their characters' intensity n suspense
Both men are capable to do just that - and more

Casting is good but I'm tired of the 'man saves woman' plots that the media has done over and over. It's always got to be the wife, daughter, sister, mom that needs saving.

For a moment I thought it was the movie that also casted (considered?) Kim Yoon-seok. Since it's not I guess more Byun Yo-han the better! He sure is saving a lot of lives this year though.

Yea, Kim Yoon-seok and Byun Yo-han are co-starring together in "Will You Be There". I was thinking about that too.

I hope there won't be any problems with the filming schedules so he can take this too.

More Byun Yo-Han the better! He got a late start in his career but I'm glad he's getting so many opportunities, Misaeng, then his first lead role in Ex-GF club (even though it flopped, but still), then SFD Bang-Ji (well it was a super cool and badass character at the start although he kind of faltered towards the end). And now movies too! He'll go far if opportunities keep coming his way.

What's wrong with JYM??? She's amazing and I thought her chemistry with BYH was awesome; however, I'm more than open to a new pairing :)

I haven't thought of this and you just made the movie sound more exciting. I wasn't too thrilled about the plot but still got super excited only because it's reunion of Sam Bong and Bang Ji. I'm so looking forward to see Kim Myung Min and Byun Yo Han on screen together again.

Yes Kim Myung-min, return to the big screen. While SFD was enjoyable and had positive response, I believe that Kim Myung-min is underused and was "too little." The Man is Kim Myung-min and having such small screen time and not the protagonist was a shock for me. I recognize Yoo Ain's talent, and it's simply that KMM should not have accepted any role less than (true) lead.

Kim Myung-min, choose great projects next time. That's what you deserve and you know that. This seems promising. Anything with Kim Myung-min, I am dedicated to give a shot.
