Oh Snap! Yeo Jin-gu goes full lounge lizard

Look, it’s not like we’re the ones who mussed up his hair, put a drink in his hand, a cigarette in his mouth, and proceeded to snap photos of him in a nightclub. W Korea can take all the credit for that. We just get to look.

Rising star (and firm ’97-er) Yeo Jin-gu is all set to take his first adult role in Jackpot, the sageuk that’ll have a tough time filling the enormous void soon to be left by Six Flying Dragons. At least he’s no stranger to playing royalty, and we won’t have to worry about him being replaced by an older actor four episodes in. Which all goes to say: Welcome to the big leagues, kid!

I'm very glad that he is in this drama with Choi Min Soo so I won't abandon him again if this drama sucks.

I know, right? Choi Min Soo is one of my favorite ajusshis and it's cool to think they'll be together again since he and Yeo Jin Gu were in WBDS when he was cute little boy still.

CMS is a fantastic actor isn't he? One of these days I'll marathon the rest his movies that I haven't seen.

lol +1. I just hope it is tolerable--though I guess if they're both going to be bad guys, I will just root for team evil and keep things interesting that way. Regardless, it will be cool to see them on screen together!

@juniper

OT: X is back :). Let's go hangout at DE. I want out of fan-girl mode for a bit. Maybe we'll hear something about Jung Ha Yeon. Oh heck even mentioning his name is good enough for me lol.

At least pictures don't have sound. This boy has a voice that belies his age. Although is it legal for him to do all of vices in the picture?

To be fair, I'd've been a teen mom (he was born after my first year of college) but that still makes me old enough to be his mom. But damn, he's so manly with his voice and maturity. Who gave him the right?

Lmao, I'm not old enough to be his mom but still way too old to swoon over any guy born after 1989 without feeling like a pedo even if they're of legal age already. (it still boggles my mind that teenagers/young adults these days consider early 80s born actors as ahjussis. Seriously, where did the past two decades go?! lol)
But hey, is it our fault that they look so mature for their age? XD

Yes, yes YES!!! @Bee - you are 100% correct. I've maintained for the past two years that he is THE hottest star of the future. If he's this amazing at 18 - with that voice and his charisma, can you imagine what he'll be like at 25. All of our ovaries will explode!!!!

Nit-pick - I find that his VOICE is much better than Leo's. Haha.

Leo is 41 now but sounds the same as he did when he was a teen idol (though to be fair, his acting capabilities shone from childhood).

Yeo Jin-gu debout at 8 yrs old on the big screen in Sad Movie. I hardly remember the rest of the cast because he stole the show imo.

He will be around for a very long time for sure. He is only 18 but with 26 movies/dramas combined under his belt. That's pretty amazing.
We've come to expect a lot from him. He wasn't as good in his last drama. Hopefully he'll get his acting mojo back here.

I think he is in that weird stage of transitioning from teen actor to leading man.

I honestly thought he was great in Orange Marmalade for what he was given. Not his fault the writing went to shit.

I know I'm being ridiculous but he has set the bar so high that I probably have unrealistic expectation. I also agree that the writing was at fault.

I don't think you're being ridiculous. He's that great lol--even on his worst day he's still better than your average actor. I actually thought he did much better in the childhood section of Moon Embraces the Sun than he did in Orange Marmalade, and we all know how beyond awful that script was.

Just get that gross cigarette out of his mouth and this would be perfect!

He's two years younger than me but looks so much older!

AHHH what a thing to start Saturday morning with !

His eyes just does stuff to me! Putting him in club and making him look like that!! I swear, there is a dirty fan girl in W Korea who came up with that idea! ??

P.S : I wish you had not inserted the year 'firm 97-er' into it Heads ! It ruins the fantasy! ??

I still distinctly remember his cute face in Sad Movie and several other historical dramas before TMETS and Missing You and he became legit new heartthrob.
He's irresistible isn't he? And I'm several years older than him!

Lol, I love his face but he is still a baby to me. All I see is rich kid partying by himself in this concept.

I think him and Lee Jae Yeon could play brothers, though!

I think he's such a talented young actor, but I don't like the photo shoot. He's too young ...don't get the concept. Is he legal to drink there at his age already? Looks sleazy.

You really can't tell his age from looking at those pictures, which are pretty much straight up sizzling.

Although I do wonder if he'll the same complex as Choi Ji Hyuk when he's older - looking older than his actual age. I feel like a lot of other 97'er idols/actors are quite baby-faced haha.
