Hyun Bin courted to be a con man for revenge film

Hyun Bin (Hyde, Jekyll, Me) is looking at a revenge movie for his next project, and while that does mean he won’t be back to doing dramas for a while, I do like that he’s trying on darker roles in films. He’s considering the lead role in the new movie Con Man, in which he’d play — what else — a con man. It still doesn’t make him the villain though; one of these days, we’ll make a scary baddie out of you, Hyun Bin, and it’s going to be great.
The new movie comes from director Lee Jun-ik’s production company Tiger Pictures (Sado) and will be the feature film debut of Lee Jun-ik’s assistant director, Jang Chang-won. All we know about the plot is that it’s about a con man, and a man who loses his father and stages a con in order to get revenge. So one man turns into a con man to avenge his father, while the other man in the story is already a notorious con man. I think.
If he signs on, Hyun Bin will play the hero who becomes a con man for his revenge. I just wish I knew what kind of crime was involved. Are we talking heists, fraud, a gambling sting operation? Is the other con man an enemy or a mentor? In any case, the con movie seems to be another trend these days (along with prison movies, for some reason) — there’s also Im Shi-wan’s One Line and Lee Byung-heon, Kang Dong-won, and Kim Woo-bin’s Master on the way. May the tricksiest con win.
Con Man plans to start shooting this year, once casting is finalized. Meanwhile Hyun Bin has the action thriller Alliance due out sometime later in the year.

I miss Hyun Bin in kdramas. Did HJM scar him permanently or what? T_T
Netizens wont blame him for the failure of that drama, so I hope he overcomes that part and makes a nice comeback in dramaland once again, preferably with Ha Ji Won.

Many persons expected the end of his carrer after Hyde jekyll Me but as a very Talented and Loved artist, Hyun Bin is still recognized by Netizens and Fans and especially by Professionnal. He is currently on a movie, a very great project with a big budget, many stars , conducted by the best director and writer . And now, he is already courtised for another one. Hurray hurray . BEHIND HATERS , After HaJina, he was choosen as big stars who deserve to be at Grévin seoul among many Big stars. He still get many contracts for endorsements , including the famous A twosome place , a myth place in korea. And about Hyde jekyll Me, as a big fan, i’m very happy to see that this drama – VERY GOOD DRAMA PLEASE – is still purchased and aired by many many countries. Currently broadcast here in Thailand. So , Hyde jekyll Me has his fans , many fans and it was not the end but the beginning of a new way in Hyun Bin’s carrer . Hmm. Conman who revenge his father's death. Sounds like Jdrama called Kurosagi.
Its lead role was Yamashita Tomohisa. Its called Kurosagi because he is a Kurosagi or a conman who conned another conman.
Well I wish its just sound the same, but with different plot.

I'm now so used to watching long, drawn-out dramas that these days I find all movies shallow.
On the other hand, Oppa is looking fabulous in that suit so maybe a little bit of shallowness won't hurt once in a while.

My choices are probably peculiar. Whilst I enjoy DOTS but I prefer Goodbye Mr Black. I find Moorim School better than CITT.

I don't think you are in a minority. I too prefer GMB over DoTS. Have not seen Moorim School, but after following CITT up to episode 14, I gave up. The main guy was too much of a psycho for me.

What is the pound of Rating Korea ??? I like this drama also. First time, i was afraid to Watch it, honnestly because with the low rating i thought it was bad but i was surprised , happily suprised. It isn't annoying anymore. I think Hyun Bin and SBS team should do another promotion on it as many persons just stopped at the R.U.M.O.R and F.A.C.T - low rating and bad drama- . This drama deserves more love and more views :)

Sounds great....looking forward to this movie....I can't move on from his latest movie The Fatal Encounter..., that was an excellent movie,no words can describe how great that movie is..... No doubt, if Hyun Bin will Role the leading cast,expect it to be great,never regret watching it.....oppa take care always...saranghae??

It was nagging me. The plot coznit sounded familiar.
Well it's not the exact thing but in 'The Thieves' ,which had kim soo hyun n his co-actress from yfas(Ji Ryun?) , the tear drop diamond was actually stolen again by macao park to take revenge for his father who was also a conman.
That was an ensemble cast movie and we dnt knlw much about this one yet.

Wow, Hyun Bin just keeps looking better and better the older he gets.
The movie sounds interesting, but like many of you, I hope he comes back to dramaland soon!
P.s. I think it's ridulous for anyone to say the just because he was in one bad drama, means that's his career is over. I'm pretty sure every good actor ever has been in at least one failed project.
