Status update: Minion applications in process

Just a quick update on the status of recapper minion applications: We’re slowly but surely working our way through the pile of samples, and will be starting some prospective minions on recaps shortly. However, if we have not contacted you yet, DO NOT freak out or assume you’ve been rejected!
We still have a Maybe pile a mile high to sift through, so not hearing from us yet just means you’re still in the pile. In the meantime, there’s no need to email us to check in — we promise we will reply to everybody who applied, whatever our answer may be. We won’t leave you hanging forever, but it just may take a little while to get everyone through the review process.
Thanks for understanding, and we hope you’ll be welcoming of all the new writers we’ll be introducing on the site!

Every time I see a post about minions, my heart drops to the pit of my stomach. I do not know how many people went back to read their entry and slapped themselves like... a million times! I have insulted myself in alllll sorts of ways since I sent my entry in...
Also, my respect for everybody on here like quadrupled. I mean, I knew it was not easy... But goddamn! Recapping is hard work... Imagine recapping a drama you dislike! We need to give these guys more credit.

Count me in - I just keep replaying the mistakes. It's like it's on a loop in my brain. However, I am happy for all of us who sent one in because the face slapping that I would have done if I missed try-outs? Oy! Much worse.
I keep checking the posts, so I was actually happy for news, and I'm very grateful that the db team is giving each application such generous consideration (three readers for each one- wow).
I can be patient, right? *Chants: I AM patient, I AM patient....* Yeah, I am totally NOT patient. At least no news means it's not a no, right? I just wonder if everyone who hasn't been contacted is in the maybe pile? I wonder if the yes pile has been contacted already? I wonder if anyone in the no pile has gotten a letter? I wonder what DB is doing right now? Are they making coffee? Are they thinking of me? ...DB, call me....*Makes finger hearts*

I'm wondering the same thing about all the piles. My inner critic (as someone below put it) is convinced I'm in the no pile that hasn't received the letter yet. No news isn't a no. At least that's what I'm hoping.

I'm terrible at checking my email, but I have been obsessively clearing it out. Am I the only one stalking this page? And dissecting each sentence?
Yup, just me? Okay off to watch more kpop, mpop, anime, kdrama, taidrama. Something is bound to distract me.

Oh phew!! So relieved to see this post! (Though utterly confused how it slipped by me yesterday, as I practically live on this website? Insert gallic shrug)
Does it count as being patient if I am over compensating by busying myself with other stuff in an attempt to fend off panic??
But I am deeply grateful to the other Minion Applicants - thanks to your warnings, I did NOT go back and re-read my recap. If I had I would have kicked myself black and blue by now.

I hope one of your new recruits will be willing to start recapping 2D1N again. i think the previous person quit during or after Bird PD era (then another PD before Yoo PD takes over) coz it was so bloody boring.
Yoon Shi Yoon's episode will start this Sunday so maybe it's a good time to post about it. Please consider and good luck with the hiring process ^^
