Oh Snap! Park Shin-hye makes summer significantly cooler

Maybe it’s because I’ve been sweltering in triple digits for the last few days, but doesn’t sunlight always look so much more pleasant in pictures? The stars never look like they’re sweating, there always seems to be a pleasant breeze, and their makeup never melts off. If photo spreads ever sell one fantasy more than any other, it’s that we all look better in bright, orange light. (When is that ever true in real life?)
Pictured here for Singles magazine, actress Park Shin-hye looks like she’s having some fashionable fun in the sun. I actually think I like the style she’s got going on? But that could just be the heat getting to me.
Park Shin-hye will be starring in SBS’s upcoming show Doctors airing June 20.

I get what you mean. For some reason, she seems like someone I would get along with. Warm, nice, friendly.... but then again, it might all be an image. *sigh
Also, she is rocking the hell out of that hair color *heart eyes for days!

She's also one of the few actresses who can pull off having her mouth half-open without looking completely gormless. Probably because her eyes are so expressive.
(it helps that she has other facial expressions in her arsenal and does not have to fall back on the half-open mouth to show that she's ~feeling emotions~)

I used to be able to recognize her immediately, even in crowded cast shots. Now I legitimately confuse her for other actresses, and I keep thinking she's Ryu Hwa Yeong.
It's really weird, it's like her face lost something very distinctive when it slimmed down.

She also might just be maturing in her looks. I feel like with every new drama, she looks a little slimmer and her facial features are a little more grown up and prominent. Maybe that's just me, though.

To be clear: I'm not saying she's surgically altered anything. I don't think she has. I just find it startling that her slightly narrower face has made my brain interpret it as a lot more generic.
I think her fuller face was a distinguishing characteristic, and the dimensions of her face are now much more similar to a lot of other Korean actresses.

How did she manage to get such slim pins?! I remember her in her 'You're Beautiful' days, she was a little curvier/thicker(?) in the legs back then.
But she has always had good skin, great hair and gorgeous eyes:-)

She is a woman now...
It's not that fast actually.
I think she start loosing weight in 2013 and was more stable after 2014 until now.
She is pretty either way though

I always feel a bit of irrational sadness when I see PSH, because the first drama I ever liked was You're Beautiful, so I'm very biased towards all the actors in it. Unfortunately, I barely liked any charater she's played afterwords, the exception being Dok Mi in Flower Boy Next door (and I still didn't like her nearly as much as Mi Nam). Ergo, like I said, I feel like she has a lot of talent that often goes to waste. She seriously needs more comedic roles. /sigh

Same. Her only character that I loved was in You're Beautiful and none after. After times passed, I could not love her same as during You're Beautiful days. Now she is just an actress that I have no longer interest.

I haven't seen her in those shows you both mentioned, but I was pretty angry with her in Heirs. All that resentment and skepticism went away after watching Pinocchio though. I think that's the first time it really hit home that picking the genre is really important for actors.

I skipped Pinocchio but heard good reviews about it. I think she just need to choose roles and she will deliver. I have no problem with her being a good kisser or not,like some ppl do. Acting is more important. Her choice of role will determine whether it is a hit or miss for her.

She is not the best but decent actress.
Her problem is she has been playing safe and isn't good at picking her roles.
But when she got a decent roles ( not even the best) like in FBND, or Pinocchio or even Tree of Heaven, she always delivers.
It's just sad that her most popular works aren't usually her best roles but that's what people associate her with

Pictures like these makes you want to be in the sun. Until you do go out into the sun and immediately turn around and go back into the nice air conditioned indoors.
PSH looks really pretty here. I didn't even think it was her at first in the 6th picture from the top. And some of the outfits are hideous but some are really cute and look super comfy.

Is it just me or does Shin Hye look busy in this shoot? Like she didn't go out to get photographed but like she's actually living her life.
This isn't a bad thing, just a note. It seems like a running theme in her shoots versus other people's so I wonder if it's the director or her, lol
It's probably my favorite part of a Shin Hye shoot. Those clothes work on her but I wouldn't buy them. And that hair is soooo gorgeous but I can't pinpoint the color (probably because I'm super tired from work). The ease of the poses, though, are life!

Actually, it's kind the same concept with her Elle photoshot in Paris last year. Which show us that she can be thrown everywhere and fit in perfectly
