Name That Drama: Hostages and guys in military uniforms

   I remember reading a post for it on Dramabeans and being slightly interested by it. For the past few days, I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to find it. It was a sageuk drama about a father trying to find a cure for his sick daughter, and he may or may not have been a genius. I don’t think I’m ever going to find it. Please help!

    

2. At least this one has names
   

   Hey Beanies, I need your help. I’ve been searching for the name of a particular drama. The drama series is about a girl named Cho Bong-hee. She loves making clothes, and once had a dye factory which she co-owned with a childhood friend named Sung-gook. Her rival friend’s name is Suh Mo-ran. Her real mother turns out to be Sarah Park, the woman who wanted to adopt her earlier. Cho Bong-hee has a birthmark on her lower abdomen. I would be glad to get a favorable reply. Thanks!

    

3. I’m sure you all have this one
   

   Trust me when I say I’ve looked everywhere, but several synopses that I read don’t even come close to the scene I watched.

   There’s this place where guys in military uniforms break rocks in a mine during the day. The camp/rock mine leader keeps nitpicking this one guy, kicking him over and over again every time he gets up from the ground. During the night, the leader lined the guys up and gave them a quiz, something about a revolution, and even if the guy who got nitpicked answered correctly, he was still sent outside the barracks to receive punishment. The nitpicked guy is played by Jin Gu.

   Please help me, beanies! Thanks.

    

4. We’ve had much vaguer
   

   I watched this drama about one to two years ago, and I can’t remember the title. All I remember was that the main character’s best friend was later held hostage, and dies before the main character can save him. A few days later, the main character’s love interest shows him a video that the best friend had made for his upcoming birthday. Sorry if this is too vague.

    

5. Name That Movie
   

   Hi! I would like to ask for help regarding the title of a Korean movie. This one is kind of old. I think it is about a female lead who was asked by her best friend to look for the lover of the latter. The female lead saw the male lead and was able to convince him to go with her, not knowing that it was to meet her friend. The female lead fell in love with the male lead while they were traveling, but was quite conflicted, because she didn’t want to betray her best friend. In the end, it turned out that the male lead was not her best friend’s boyfriend.

   I also remember that the best friend told the main lead that one of the qualities that she liked about her boyfriend is how sexy his Adam’s apple moves while he is drinking.
