Oh Snaaaaaap! Scarlet Heart’s rival princes stake their claim

I’m going to start running out of headline space if they keep releasing posters for Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart: Goryeo, but I think we’ve gotten all the posters we could for one show. D’oh, did I just jinx it? Here are the rest of our princes, who will be vying for power, or love, or both. Hong Jong-hyun’s poster reads: “I won’t give up what’s mine just to gain a girl.” Kang Haneul seems more measured: “In order to protect everything I love dearly, I had to change.”
Ji-soo, ever the puppy: “I will no longer call you sister. I want to be a man to you.” Nam Joo-hyuk: “If I weren’t a prince, could I love you?” Baekhyun: “Stick right behind me. I’ll protect you.” And last but not least, Yoon Sun-woo: “You want my heart? Take all the silver you want.” You want a prince? Take your pick.
Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart: Goryeo premieres August 29 on SBS.

In the C-version of Scarlet and the novel, 3rd Prince (Jong Hyun's role) is not a major figure but I think for the K-version, it will be quite major since before Wang So (Lee Jun Ki) ascended the throne, there would be the Crown Prince and Wang Yo (Jong Hyun) who ruled for 2 years and 4 years respectively.

I haven't watched the original series, but based on the posters, I think Kang Haneul will be the nice second lead that breaks our heart. Hong Jong Hyun as somewhat antagonistic character that will clash with Lee Jun Ki. And the rest of the princes as adorable puppies.
With this many princes I am curious how the plot will play out.

Aaaah should I watch this or not? The original is supposes to be tragic (that all the fans say) and this is pre produced.
the only other preproduced melo drama now is UF but they should just change that name to Unfortunately Fond because the tragedy is too much. I am not watching Scarlet Heart if it has that level of tragic, my tears will run out.

Yes all of them except for nam joo hyuk's character who falls in love with seohyun's character. In the original version she is supposed to a courtesan however they changed it to a tragic princess vying for revenge in the Korean version.
That's why his character says "if I wasn't a prince, would you love me" cuz seohyun's character will likely reject him due to her immense hatred for his family/clan.

Frankly I'm quite not ready to see Hong Jong Hyun playing antagonist, don't want to sound so pessimistic but he was too bland and wooden in his previous projects. Maybe we should give another chance to see if he will be able to carry his role well.

I've had enough of these princes to be honest. I'm more interested in the ladies.
Goryeo women had considerable freedom and had equal status within the family.
I hope IU will do well here. She'd be carrying the most load and will be compared to Rouxi. Hae-soo and Rouxi are from 2 different eras and I hope the writer will used that to Hae-soo's advantage.
Looking forward to Park Ji-Young as Queen Woo, Jung Kyung-Soon and especially Kang Han-Na as Yeon-Hwa.

lol Hong Jong Hyun's poster has so much more presence and atmosphere than the other ones. The smoky effect does not look good with the white background and the poses are a lot less interesting too.

Actually really interested in seeing Hong Jong Hyun play the villain (or one of the villians). I thought he showed his greatest potential in White Christmas and if I remember correctly, he was kind of antagonistic in that but not in any role since. So...I think he may do well.
Everyone looks great. I hope the show is great.
I tried watching the original but wasn't in the mood for it, so maybe I'll try again in a week. I'm binging Queen Seon Deok right now (first time) so I guess I'm in the mood for historicals now, lol.

Haven't you all watch the trailer from the first to the newest trailer...it's likely shows that all the prince fall for her(IU),but as we know the shows that IU would had to get back to her real world,so the princes love would just turns to other women...that's why we have other princess or girls in this show...so get the hint?
