I don't think Infinite's L is good enough in acting, but I'll give him a try. Though I'm worry because Ruler is a sageuk, and moreover it has Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun as the leads. Praying hard he will show us some improvements... ?

At least it's only a second lead. Heck even Changmin managed to improve to bearable levels in a sageuk (SWWTN) so I'm not mad about this.

I hope this crappy casting luck is in compensation for saving us from Suzie becoming the actual lead of the new Park Hye-ryun drama though. I can take this if we're saved from that.

The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away. It seems that idols are a constant blight, and like locusts we must only hope that they pass by quickly, and only affect the minor crops.

lol this is cracking me up.

But since 2016 is cruel and will offer us no respite in real life or dramaland, she confirmed the damn drama. That's another one Lee Jong-seok will have to carry by himself.

Honest answer: Suzy's worse. At least Yoona can close her damn mouth and form an expression.

L and Yuri are about on par, but at least no one is stupid enough to offer L lead roles yet.

I thought L was better than Rain or Krystal in My Loveable Girl.

I can see him as a stand in, he is handsome and yoo seung ho is handsome.

If changmin is actually better in saeguk, maybe we can hope that L can do the same

So, Ruler - Master of the Mask has almost the same premise as Masquerade. L and Lee Byung Hyun... the acting comparison will be brutal.

I have lost interest and hope for a drama with two of the best young actors in SK like by 60%. Because you have to stop these idol companies by forcing people like L in important second lead roles.

Frankly im watching Japanaese dramas, Chinese dramas more often than my first Asian drama love that have always been K-dramas. I can watch Chinese historical dramas, trendy modern rom coms with mature, serious talented actors like Wallace Hou, Hu Ge, Ariel Lin, Zhou Xun or watch....

Kdramas with L, Krystal, Hyeri, Ha Sunwha, Suzy etc.....

I like L, as singer, and when he was in SUFBB. But similar to others' concern, with actors such as YSH and KSH as the leads and as @Aigoooo pointed out with LBH as comparison, i could only pray he delivers. Perhaps he would prove us wrong and act stellarly like LJH in MOTW.

I agree. Let's be realistic. Some folks just do not have an iota of acting genes in them and L is one of them. I just hope that he enjoys acting. I often wonder if idols who can't act are even aware of that fact or if they live in a bubble.

Woohoooo 5m views for 1% of anything! Am so proud of the cast and crew for achieving that. For a drama that broadcasters refused to air, it dun pretty good. Hope that this leads to even more roles & cfs for Jeon So Min and Ha Seok Jin. Or even better, another drama together! Is that too much to ask? OK how about a variety show appearance together?! I beg yer.

That said, I'm quite sad I can't attend the fan meet or obtain the book made by Godinmedia.

I know this might sound silly, but I've always wondered why Lee Jong-Suk is written Lee Jong-Seok on dramabeans? And here Ha Seok-Jin is written Ha Suk-Jin? Aren't they already standardly romanized as Jong-Suk and Seok-Jin? Only in this forum do I see those names written out of norm.
I remember that both of these actors use the more popular romanized variants of their names so I don't understand why irrelevant/unrecognizable forms are used on this forum....

I'm not into Korean language as much as Japanese, but from what I've seen, for example, Jun Ju Hyun is the translated form of 전지현, but you pronounce Jeon Ji Hyeon. Another example is Park Shin Hye which is the translated form of 박신혜, but you pronounce Bak Sin Hye. The same happens as Lee family name which is actually pronounced as Yi.

Thanks!
I know that it's tricky to romanize from other writing/spelling systems as accurately as possible so that a foreign reader could pronounce it correctly, however, if even these actors and actresses use the widely used forms of their names (I know for sure that LJS uses Jong-Suk), then why would this forum use the unrecognizable forms.. I almost couldn't recall who Ha Suk-Jin was until it hit me that it's just written differently on here

It's just a preference. Not much meaning to it, really.

The only reason Pacific Rim 2 is being made is because John Boyega agreed to star in it after the success of Star Wars: TFA.

His production company is basically funding the movie, not to mention his name in starring is wrong

Lol the hope slayer hahahah. But seriously the dude can't act. I hope be improved to the point that he's not cringey in every single scene. Amazing how he still can get big roles like this with his skills

Honestly you are the first person i see complaining about this..
Lee jeung seok and lee jung suk have same pronunciation.. Mostly
People use jong suk since it more easier to pronounce, its just like yoo seung ho and yoo sung ho, hyorin-->hyolin, lee joon ki= yi joon gi..

And NO this forum isn't the only one that uses that way..

For me L is a fine actor I loved in My Lovely Girl and I enjoyed seeing him in Master's Sun. I am just getting into sageuks and I would love to see this one.

Lee Jong Suk has the power to help anyone act ten times better than they already do. So, even if I did not like Suzy's acting I would be confident that this drama will be awesome. But, the fact that I loved Suzy's acting along side Lee Seung Gi and Kim Woo Bin even though the plots left something to be desired, makes me happy and excited for this drama.
