Chicago Typewriter pre-empted this weekend

Aaargh, again? This is not a good week for drama addicts. I’m already having a hard enough time with the pre-emption for Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People, which chose Monday of all days to pull out all the stops, take all my tears, and then leave me hanging with no Tuesday episode. And now tvN has announced that that its Friday-Saturday drama Chicago Typewriter will be skipping a full week, with no new episodes until May 12. Say it ain’t so!

This time the pre-emption isn’t related to election coverage, but holidays during Golden Week, a time when many families travel because of consecutive work and school holidays. tvN announced that Chicago Typewriter won’t air as scheduled this Friday and Saturday, May 5-6, and will instead air a special episode on Saturday that includes new behind-the-scenes footage narrated by Go Kyung-pyo. Episodes 9 and 10 will then air the following weekend, May 12-13.

I know pre-emptions never feel like they come around at a good time, but it feels especially mean to take a week off after finally getting me invested in the loveline. I wasn’t really feeling Yoo Ah-in’s connection to Im Soo-jung in the present day (the past is another matter entirely, as I actually wish the entire drama just took place in 1930s Kyungsung and dispensed with the present altogether). But over the last two episodes, the hero’s awkward attempts at courtship were really hapless and endearing, and made him seem human. I just wish they had shown him planting blueberries and building doghouses seven episodes ago, because then I could’ve liked him from the start.

In the absence of Chicago Typewriter (and Tunnel too), this seems like the weekend to marathon something old. Time to go digging through my vault.

I'm probably the only one benefitting from this break, as I'm only about to watch Episode 4! ✌?

I think they're don't have enough time to filming, they began filming too late and even don't have any time gap between this and Tomorrow With You.
Also, they push this drama air later at 20:30 (KST)

Maaaaaaaan! I was looking forward to the next eps.

Don't get me started on Rebel. My heart is broken after the recent events. Oh, the despair of only having one episode a week.

Oh dear. Last weekend I 'rewarded' myself with Tunnel and CT after working for hours in the garden. Hmmm what will I reward myself with this weekend?
Oh I know - Six Flying Dragons! I started that after seeing Yoo Ah-In here at CT. Now that should get me through the weekend. I'm only at episode 26. wow.
Seriously - between Tunnel and CT, and RO there are some awesome dramas happening. This will just make them last longer. *with clenched fists* sigh

I love how productive our Beanies plan to be while CT takes a break >.<

So far, I've seen mum duties, assignments, house chores and drama marathons (yes this counts) promised. Good luck all~

On the flipside, many (me included) consider the drama a reward after a tough work-week. Guess we keep hustlin' like Jang Gu Rae (no prize for guessing the drama I'll be marathoning haha).

Uh uh.. okay so I won't get to see any episode of CT this week right? ..
Okay I think I can wait :)

I'm marathoning through Another Miss Oh.. (Oh Hae-Yang again) and it is soooo goooooooooood. I just think I should have watched it a long time ago. That show is full of everything I could have wished for. Humor is so highlighted! I am not a rom-com person tbh, but because I wanted to watch something different, I'm falling for Another Miss Oh.

If you haven't watched Oh Hae-Young again, I really recommend this one. It is a good drama and made me fall for every cast and crew. I LOLed so many times. Cried too. A special show indeed.

Hmm, so will I use this break to be as ~productive as I'd like to be?

..unlikely, lol. CT is the only "live" one of ~ten on my "currently watching" list, plus the maany English series I'm also always working on.. xD
