[Giveaway] Win a 1-year subscription to watch dramas on Kocowa

We’re always happy to give away free stuff to Beanies, especially when that free stuff is hours and hours (and hours) of drama-watching! We have 10 annual subscriptions to give away to our readers from streaming service Kocowa, which is currently available to everyone in North and South America (sorry, everyone everywhere else in the world!).

Kocowa is a partner of the Big 3 stations in Korea—KBS, MBC, and SBS—so the content you’ll find there is from those three networks, all subbed in English. The shows range from the newest dramas (Mystery Queen 2, Radio Romance, Should We Kiss First, Return) to variety and K-pop music shows (Running Man, Infinite Challenge, Weekly Idol, Inkigayo). Everything is available through the website and the app, and the service is also now available on Chromecast.

To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment down below telling us where you watch your dramas these days. Winners will be chosen at random. We accept no responsibility for the hours that you will spend binge-watching dramas for the next year of your life if you win. Enter at your risk.

Giveaway rules:

  • Leave a comment below telling us where you watch your dramas these days.
  • Make sure to use a registered account on Dramabeans so we can contact you if you win.
  • Giveaway will be open until Monday, March 12, 2018 at 8:00 PM (Pacific Time). Winners will be contacted directly.
  • Reminder: The annual subscription can only be used in North America and South America.

I will hunt down a drama to wherever I can find it first and most reliable. I watch on Viki, Dramafever, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, AmazonVideo, or will purchase the dvds when it comes out.

I will watch dramas anywhere! I have Roku at home, or use my iPad. Away from home I use my phone and watch apps like VIKI, DramaFever, and OnDemandKorea.

In my bed, on my couch, or in my computer chair....on my laptop, tablet, PC, or TV. I've been a paid member of Viki and DF for 6 years now, but have not made the jump to Viki+ nor Kocowa...yet. I hesitate to commit yet more funds and find myself going to random sites to watch dramas that are not on Viki Standard nor DF...something I NEVER thought I would resort to.

oh...and Netflix, but most of those are just rewatches of dramas I've seen before. I make a point of not watching currently running dramas if I know they will be on Netflix.

About 80% Kocowa/Viki (I consider them one now) and 20% Dramafever, all via Roku. I keep meaning to watch something on Netflix but their Roku marketing is so bad that it's almost impossible to figure out what kdrama they offer.

Sometimes Viki, occasionally Drama Fever, but when I can't find something anywhere else, DramaCool or Drama3S.

I usually just watch dramas on Kissasian or Dramacool. Sometimes I’ll watch dramas on Dramafever. I’m a college student so I can’t afford to buy any of the subscription services.

I always watch on my cellphone as I'm kind of blind and the subtitles are easier to read in a more compact screen like that. I also watch on Dramafever, Viki, and Netflix. I would so appreciate a Kocowa subscription though :D

I have a subscription to dramafever, so I watch mainly korean dramas there. Then I use viki or ondramanice for chinese dramas and other korean dramas not on dramafever.

I watch dramas primarily on Dramafever, Viki (have a standard Pass but no access to Kocowa content) and Netflix. With Netflix buying up licenses it's often a waiting game to see a drama these days!

I mostly watch on Dramafever. My annual rate is locked in at a super cheap price so I will keep it forever! I'll use Viki off and on depending on the drama and how much I want to deal with their Roku channel (I have a love/hate relationship with it). KBS sometimes puts their dramas on YouTube so I'll watch there as well.

“Where” can be interpreted several ways, right?

1. Content streaming (in order of highest frequency): VIKI, NETFLIX, DramaFever, HULU in that order. If I can’t find it there, than internet 3rd party host.

2. Hardware and environment (in order of highest frequency): AppleTV (when watching with my husband), Macpro computer (by myself on my couch in the living room), iPhone (on my lunch break or plane or mirroring to the TV), iPad (when I run on the treadmill). We love Apple.

Ususally Viki or Dramafever. I hate that some of the old stuff I want to rewatch on Viki is now locked up because of Kocowa, so it'd be great to get a free subscription and be able to watch anything again.

Viki, Dramafever, and Netflix are my usual haunts. However, if there is a specific show I want to watch, I'll search everywhere that I possibly can to find it! (I'm not above working ot so I can splurge on more shows...haha, I suppose that's how I know it's an addiction...)

I usually watch my dramas on either Dramafever or Viki depending on who has it. But recently there are soooo many that require the super premium membership that I have resorted to watching the youtube videos that the KBS/SBS/MBC/tvN etc upload officially and try to decipher the Korean there and then come here and read the recaps to make sure I understood everything that went on in that episode!

I watch Viki and Dramafever for most of my dramas and catch the occasional drama special on YouTube. (Confession—I started with dramac**l until I realized that I loved K-Dramas and C-Dramas enough to go legit.)

Regardless of where I watch, nothing beats the discussions at DB!
