Name That Drama: Angry boss wants sweets

1. Going against type
   

   I was talking to my sis the other day and wondering if there are nice female chaebols in dramaland. We watch the same shows but she doesn’t remember this scene and can’t help me guess what is the show. The rich girl goes on a marriage date with a chaebol guy. They knew each other as kids but meeting again after a long time because she studied in the US (of course!). The rich boy is surprised because the rich girl takes him to a tiny rooftop restaurant to eat smelly food and the staff gave her an old looking blanket to cover her legs.

    

2. Sugary problems
   

   Help! I don’t know if I imagined this but is there a kdrama show where the head of police has diabetes and always complains about his low blood sugar when junior cops are causing trouble?

    

3. Be glad it isn’t flying…
   

   I want to say this drama is at least two years old by now, but I’m not completely certain. It was a drama nominated for something in one of DramaFever’s annual awards. I only saw a scene used by DramaFever for the nomination and voting, but I don’t think it won whatever category it was nominated for. It seemed like some of the characters were living together. The room was a complete mess and there were clothes all over the floor. I remember someone complaining about how messy the room is and then freaking out over a cockroach they saw on the floor. I believe the characters were in their PJs? I can’t remember if the exchange was between two guys or a guy and a girl. I’m sorry I can’t remember more details. Anyways, thank you for your help!

    

4. More than table manners
   

   I’m pretty sure this is a show where the girl cross-dresses to attend school but I can’t remember which show it is! I just remember a scene where the lead boy wiped the girl-dressed-as-boy’s lips at lunch. The goofy sidekicks teased the OTP for taking care of each other too much. One of the sidekicks rolled some rice into a ball and put it on his cheek and the other sidekick pretended to wipe it for him. It’s not an old show like Sungkyunkwan or Moonlight Drawn by Clouds because they’re wearing modern uniforms.

    

5. Be careful what you wish for (no, really)
   

   Hello! It’s stormy weather here in my country. Sometimes the very strong rain wakes you up at 3am making you expect work and classes will be cancelled but 3 hours later the sun is shining again. I get mad for my disturbed sleep and wish more rain will pour enough to flood and cancel work. Then I remember a scene in a workplace kdrama. The newbies are complaining they are bored. Then disaster happened then one of them said “I forgot that people die. While I’m bored wishing for more work, people can die.”

   When I remembered that, I was guilty because heavy rains kill people or their livelihoods here while I wish for more rain to get more sleep. I wish I can recall what show gave me this thoughtful lesson.
