Jung Kyung-ho, Yoo Inna courted for tvN legal office drama

Life on Mars star Jung Kyung-ho is ready for his next drama—he’s been offered the lead role in Reach of Sincerity, which is based on a KakaoPage web comic series by the same name. Yoo Inna (The Lonely Shining Goblin) is the top contender to be his leading lady. Definitely a cute matchup if it happens.

Reach of Sincerity is an office romance between a prickly, successful lawyer and his down-on-her-luck secretary. It sounds like every other legal office rom-com so far, but here’s the twist: The secretary is not a secretary at all.

She’s actually a famous top star whose innocent one-sided infatuation on a third-generation chaebol heir ended in scandal and disgrace. Now, she’s trying to make her way back by disguising herself as Jung Kyung-ho’s secretary because he’s close with a director who can make or break her career.

That’s not even the best part. The PD for Reach of Sincerity is Park Joon-hwa, who has been on a streak of producing top-notch rom-coms. Some credits to his name include What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim, Because This Life Is Our First, the first two seasons of Let’s Eat, and Bring It On, Ghost. All were winners in my book, so I can’t wait for this new one to come out.

Reach of Sincerity is slated to begin airing in January, after the end of the Song Hye-gyo/Park Bo-gum drama Boyfriend.

Oh no, he's not a genius lawyer, he's only prickly.

I'll watch it. I'm always up for a good rom-com. Add Jung Kyung-ho to the recipe and I'll be right there waiting for the subs.

Lol, well at least that's better than the male lead in Discovering Joy (whose female lead is also a disgraced top star): he's not only the best neurosurgeon in Korea-- he's the best one in the world! 😂

This is exciting news! Jung Kyung Ho excels in action shows/thrillers, but I wouldn't mind seeing him take another shot at a rom-com, especially if Yoo Inna is his lead.

Just happy to see him with another casting offer. He has had great projects lately.

And I miss Yoo Inna too. I would like to see her lead a good drama soon.

I didn't even notice! And true, she WAS obsessed with a chaebol in MLFAS.

This is her second chance and her go at her own story. What was the saying again, 'Everyone is a hero in their own story' ?

Awesome news! I'm glad I have a few months to work on letting go of my attachment to picturing JKH having a HEA with his squad on Mars.

I'm guessing the heroine's name is Seong-sil, which Google translate just informed me means "sincerity" in Korean. (After Falling for Innocence, it makes sense that he would reach for Sincerity.)

Hopefully the fact that the PD is Park Joon-hwa means that the writer will be good too, right?!

Hopefully, I will stick with this one.

I hope for Yoo In Na that her career of actress is less complicated than hers in her dramas :p

In Heartless City, Jung Kyung Ho did justice to the suits he wore ! I want to see him as a lawyer :p

Now that I think about it, I can definitely see Yoo In Na in a secretary role, it's what has been missing on her filmography for me, actually, so I'm excited if this offer to her for this role goes through :) And Jung Kyung Ho has been a hoot and a delight in all of his roles, and I don't see this man being stopped anytime soon!!!

Oh yeah!! My fave girl is finally back to dramaland, and with an awesome pairing at that too. I heave a huge sigh of relief knowing the male lead isn't a chaebol or a genius. I hope this one will be a more meaty romcom because I don't think I can stand watching these two being wasted in a plotless drama. Please be good.

Currently on Life on Mars rewatch, after a marathon of JKH's dramas (yes I'm a new fan), so I am very happy to hear he will be back soon!

Watching LOM the second time made me pay more attention to the loveline because the first time around, my attention was all to the big mystery about the serial killer and his dad thing. Gotta say I can't wait to see him back on romcom, he always has natural chemistry with her female leads. Chemistry-wise, my favorite is with Jang Na Ra and Officer Yoon come close second even though their loveline is very subtle. I love how Officer Yoon likes him because he's a kind person while his fiancee in 2018 likes him for his brain, it's heartwarming to see how he changed because he went back to the "past".

O/T Speculation. I would love to see Jung Kyung-ho and Yoon Hyun-min back together in a drama. YHM's latest drama is called TALE OF GYERYONG FAIRY which is scheduled to begin airing Nov. 5, 2018. JKH's new project is scheduled to begin in January 2019. Both those guys should be available to do something together next summer.
That would be sweet.

Falling for Innocence (or more aptly named, Falling for Jung Kyung-ho) was my first ever k-drama. This often leaves me with a dilemma. I love to watch his shows, but at the same time my line of work means I usually only want to consume sweet fluffy romance in my downtime. This solves the dilemma :).

Was going to watch this just because I think Yoo Inna is hot, but now in going to watch it because of the director. I just hope it doesn't slowly fizzle out in the last two episodes like What's Wrong With Secretary Kim did, in my opinion. Still liked the show alot tho.

Have they both accepted yet? The PD is solid so no worries there. Jung Kyung Ho's character description reminds me of Falling For Innocence, glad he's returning to rom-com, Falling For Innocence is one of my favourites! But I don't get how would Yoo In-Na be able to disguise herself as a secretary, won't people be able to recognize her since she was a top star?

Maybe she will use short wig with glasses, or simply add a mole on her cheek and nobody will recognize her.. (You know.. Typical dramaland thing.. 😁 Though I hope they'll use smarter way to fool us)

Haha, I hope it'll be a more obvious disguise than a haircut or glasses. Like glasses do not even change your face, hopefully they'll come up with a believable and smooth disguise, or just truthfully say you're trying a new career and be Jung Kyung Ho's awesome secretary

It reminds me of when Renee Zellwegger worked in a London office to prepare for Bridget Jones. Apparently everyone said, hey you really look like that American actress! and she'd say, I hear that sometimes and it would drop. Except for one guy who just kept ON about it and finally management pulled him in and told him the truth so he'd stop. Of course, she had the accent to help with her disguise.

When mainstream kdrama watchers ask me who's my favourite actor, I answer, "Jung Kyung Ho". Yay! Another drama, couldn't be any happier.

And it's romcom, which reminds me his another drama called "Falling for Kang Min Ho", oopps I mean "Falling for Innocence".

The only bad news is that it is said to start in January, still quite a few months to go.
