Drama viewership ratings for the week of Mar. 11-17, 2019

Spring is almost upon us! And I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for this next drama cycle. The latest to join the list was Monday-Tuesday thriller/rom-com That Psychometric Guy. It didn’t have the strongest premiere — Episodes 1 and 2 stayed around 2 percent — but who knows where it could go from here.

I think What’s Wrong Mr. Poong-sang certainly surprised some people. It started off with 5 to 6 percent ratings and then worked its way up to the top of the list. Its finale earned its highest rating at 22.7 percent. And the other shows in this slot have some catching up to do now that one of their top competitors is gone.

Over on the weekend slot, Romance is a Bonus Book and My Only Ally ended as well, and they both had ratings to brag about. In fact, I can’t remember the last time a drama reached 40 percent ratings, as My Only Ally did. Perhaps My Golden Life? Either way, it’s been long established that weekend dramas usually get the most love.

It’s hard for me to understand why so many more people are watching the sad show of Mr. Poong- song rather than watching the funny one of Spring Turns to Spring. I am really enjoying that one. Also, I will be interested to see if a lot more people turn in to watch The Light in Your Eyes, once they hear about the plot twist.

I am totally interested in watching the Light in your eyes after knowing the twist. But I was interested in the show since the beginning, it was just Han Ji Min who put me off so I never watched it. You I guess are talking about the korean viewers and ratings, so I hope that the ratings increase too for them. Plus honestly I think korean tv viewing audience have always been more interested in melos than romcoms/comedy shows as per ratings suggest. Plus Poong sang is a family drama and that always works with that target audience.

I'm not sure whether hearing the twist in The Light in Your Eyes will drive up numbers. Those who didn't watch would have to finish 10 eps before tuning in for the finale. The show might even lose some viewers who aren't happy with the twist. They wanted Hye Ja to return to her 25 year old self and romance Joon Ha.

So, no romance between the Hye Ja & Joon Ha??? T___T that's sad, and she stays old??? more sad tbh...

We might see the 25 year old Hye Ja and her romance with Joon Ha. Just not in the way you expect.

I think it may well do. The preview on Naver jumped to over 400,000 views after that plot twist. When it hit over 10% for one episode (I can't remember which one), numbers jumped for that Preview to over 200,000 views. So I am anticipating a marked jump in ratings for finale.

I really didn't know where Light in Your Eyes was going. I truly didn't see it coming. It actually made me happy that I chose to watch this series even after being disappointed with a lot of he 12 episode series lately.
