Jang Ki-yong ruffles Im Soo-jung’s feathers in tvN’s Search Query: WWW

Out of all the upcoming dramas, this is one of the shows I’m most looking forward to. I don’t know if it’s the noona romance, the trio of strong female leads, or the idea of a sweet Jang Ki-yong (Kill It) in romantic pursuit that gets me the most, but I’m here for it. Search Query: WWW has released several stills of Im Soo-jung (Chicago Typewriter) and Jang Ki-yong, separately and together, and I’m already looking forward to their chemistry together.

In Search Query, Im Soo-jung plays Bae Ta-mi, an ambitious strategy manager of Korea’s top portal site, while Jang Ki-yong’s character, Park Mo-gun, is a young CEO of a computer game music-producing company. While they share a love of computer game Iron Fist and a career in the tech industry, the two characters couldn’t be more opposite if they tried. Their personalities, values, and thoughts on work and love are very different, but that just suggests a lot of potential for character growth and cute bickering.

Im Soo-jung said that her character Ta-mi might suffer a bit because she thinks that she showed such an imperfect side of her to Mo-gun. But, that doesn’t phase Mo-gun a bit, who thinks that all of these sides to Ta-mi are cute. It’s always nice to see the seemingly perfect characters get their feathers ruffled a little bit, especially if it’s getting ruffled by Jang Ki-yong.

Search Query: WWW will air on tvN’s Wednesday-Thursday slot starting June 5.

Am also really looking forward to this drama! The teasers did an amazing job of introducing the characters and hooking me in. All these fierce women characters in one drama is a DREAM <3

Definitely putting this one on my list. I’m so ready to see Jang Ki-yong in a lighter drama, and hopefully one with a happy ending, without an over abundance of angst on the way. (I didn’t finish Kill It because I got spoiled re the ending, and wasn’t in the mood for it.)

Im not as familiar with the actresses, but am all for strong, independent, likable female characters in my dramas.

these noona romances are having such wide age spreads... are there no young actresses that can play opposite Jang Ki Yong, or are there no older actors to pair Im Soo Jung with - maybe she's already starred in dramas/movies with all of the older actors?

having more than a 10 year difference is unsettling to me, well it is when the young man is in his 20s and the woman is near 40.

don't get me wrong, i LOVE Im Soo Jung!! she's one of my favorite actresses, but he seems way too young for her... to me it borders on uncomfortable.

maybe it's the mom in me (wanting to give him a HUG) that is bothered? hmmm.....

They seem to have a 10 year old difference in the story so it's nice to have actors that fit the part, this kind of thing is usual so why would it bother you? Again, why people keep calling any story when the woman is older a noona romance???? When it's the guy nobody says ahjussi romance, and it's women doing it.

I'm actually okay with an age gap as long as they don't downplay it and pretend like there's none. Secret Love Affair and The Witch's Romance, for example, actually addressed the fact in the drama. But, I can totally understand that it might be uncomfortable for some viewers 😊

As long as both parties are consenting adults and they genuinely care for each other, I don't care if the age gap is 30 years. In my mind they are both adults and it's their choice so who am I to judge them?

And I love the fact that kdramas are trying to normalize an older woman with a younger man. We are too accepting of it being the opposite and it's nice to see kdramas flipping it on its head.

Oh. My. Word. I don’t know what to think. Noona romances, when done right, is like heroin to me. And this boy will probably be my next addiction.

Age matters: we know they are some 12 years apart, but they don't look like it. At least I don't see her looking so old compared to him....
These Korean women, oh man! I am closer to her age but I look like her mother!😂😂😂😂😂😂

Does this boy never sleep or something. Didn't Kill It like just finish? Or is time not real and I'm out of it? Probably the latter.
I like Ki Yong. I don't normally do well with noona romances lol.

Jang Ki Yong has become one of my favorites whose shows I either couldn't finished(Come and Hug Me) or couldn't even start(Kill It). This might be the one drama I can finally watch. I'm sure he will do well in light hearted stuff, he was so funny in The Boy Next Door.

2019 the year of the return of the noona romance! We are getting so spoiled with Encounter, RiaBB, and now this! And isn't the currently airing drama from the Pretty Noona team also a noona romance?
This sounds like it's going to be chock full of cute banter and squabbles. Looking forward to it!

This looks like fun. I hardly recognize Jang Ki-yong with that smile since his last two shows have made him so serious.
And I love the rest of the cast too. Looking forward to this one.

The way he is looking at her in the first still gave me a little heart flutter. He looks enamored already.
