Happy Friday, Beanies!

I rarely post on OT but I can't find a place where I can talk about Produce x 101 so here I am. I am honestly so scared to live stream episode 11 later because I don't want to see my faves become eliminated. I want the all-rounders Kim Sihun, Kim Hyunbin, Kim Kookheon, Cho Seungyoun, Lee Hangyul, and Lee Jinhyuk to survive this elimination and be on the final ep.

I need someone to talk with while watching the show later, so is someone willing to host a live stream or group chat for PDx101 later? Thank you in advance!

AH! My favorites include Kim Sihoon, Sim Hyunbin, Kim Kookheon too! And they're most likely going to be eliminated today. Especially Kookheon! T_T And another favorite of mine, Choi Byungchan had to drop out.

At this rate, I'm in it only for Han Seungwoo & Lee Jinhyuk. I also really like Wooseok, Yohan and Yuvin. But I feel while Wooseok & Yohan are guaranteed to debut, Yuvin is guaranteed to not, in the finale. :( So Seungwoo & Junhyuk, it is!

On another note, I feel we never really got to see Park Seon-ho's idol skills, which is sad.

I really really love Byungchan too (basically the whole Move team) but he had to drop out so I will not see him in the final ep.

Seungwoo must debut (or any other main vocal material since the current lineup lacks that). I am with you on Yuvin, he may have ranked higher now but knowing Mnet, his fate is uncertain.

Mnet only highlighted Park Seon-ho on the first few eps and then they just forgot about him. I am hoping to see him act as an idol on a drama in the future and release his songs (solo or debut, doesn't matter).

Also Byungchan is an amazing visual? Like, let me just take a moment to gather myself. He looks really good. Agreed on Seungwoo - Yuvin is the stronger vocal imho, but he's unlikely to make it. Lee Hyeop is also a strong vocal right? But he's definitely, 200% out today.

Yes to Park Seon-ho hopefully releasing music later. Tbh, he has this perpetually worried expression on his face? Haha.

Also, I'm streaming it too. I usually watch the eliminations/rankings live, and catch the rest with subs later. But by ep 11, my impatience is at an all time high. I'm already on the Vlive page - quite pointless, since I suppose eliminations will be at the end of the episode.

Park Seon-ho is like a beagle. Cute but looks a bit droopy and sad.

2

I'm streaming right now and we are already on Top 7 announcement...

At this point all my hopes are lost

1

@mary - yes! I wish the show had given him more screentime.
@sensationalfantasy - ah, there were some surprises, and I'm really happy with the top few, but ah. I knew it. Kookheon. T_T

1

@greenfields Had to take a break after episode 11 and argh half of SIXC will not be on the finale as well as some of my faves. I am a mess 8 hours afters episode 11.

1

@sensationalfantasy - Seungyeon! Or Jinhyuk or Hangyul. Hang in there! One last episode to go. Gosh I'm pretty excited for next Friday.

1

I hope they hang in there and debut but if not, hopefully SIXC will just debut as a project group (like JBJ) instead!

1

Ooh~ I'm late to the post. I thought no one would really talk about the show in DB.. I'm being a lurker in twitter and instagram or sometimes in other websites for Produce X 101 content 🤣 and I feel reaaaaally anxious for their final episode, too scared to even imagine if my pick is gonna be Jonghyun-ed/Gaeun-ed T-T

Some of my picks already got eliminated before the finale ep this season (never happened to my picks on the previous 3 seasons) and I hope that the kids who truly deserve to debut are the ones in the final lineup. If not, a project group like JBJ would be great too!

Happy OT Beanies!

Update from last week: I took the exam with little knowledge of Kanji. I might have failed that and will probably retake it this year or next year, hopefully well prepared.

I love Nihongo, I love speaking it and listening to it, but the Kanji is gathering these emotions of fear that I will never be able to overcome it. Never had this problem with Hangul, granted they don’t really use Chinese characters in daily conversations. Kinda regretting I didn’t start learning Kanji back in HS 🙄 Memorisation isn’t really my thing

Good luck! Kanji is made up of small parts fitted together. Break the kanji down into its several parts and it won't seem so daunting. They're basically word pictures and they each tell a story that enhances the meaning of the word. The character for peace is a roof with a woman under it, for instance. The word for ship is eight mouths in a boat shaped structure. Noah's ark? Continuing with the Noah's ark motif, the word for cave is a roof with the number eight under it. The word for empty is a roof with the number eight and the character for work under it. Or, the cave is empty because everybody went to work. It's fascinating once you look at them this way and much easier to remember.

@neener, @skidmoresy Shari,

Shari's comments on the pictorial aspect of kanji reminded me of a couple of wonderful books on the subject that were written by one of my colleagues, The Kanji ABC (1977) and Kanji 1-2-3 by Andrew H. Dykstra.

Here are the covers, so you find the correct books:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0913232378/ref=olp_page_2?ie=UTF8&f_all=true&startIndex=10

IIRC, they are loaded with interesting tidbits of trivia, and are probably long out of print. See if you can find used copies. I hope it helps. ;-)

Happy friday and happy weekend all!!!

3 more days to find out why Yi Do fainted in Jae Hee's arms. How could you do that to me drama! How could you let me wait a week with the image of Yi Do going limp! *excited for new ep*

Also yay to Jae Hee not having amnesia. She just forgot her childhood memories, you know...like normal people do 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.

I think if the fantasy element is taken out of Perfume, it will be a melodrama. But the fantasy element actually makes it more fun. The show is so funny. The imagination scenes are pretty. The overall colour tone for the drama is beautiful. The songs are amazing. I adore this drama to bits and I hope I will like it to the end. 12 hours in and it has exceeded my expectations. I hope the remaining 4 hours will be awesome! Ahahaha

Anyways, Perfume ep 13 (25/26) preview is out. It looks funny as usual! Also it looks like Jae Hee tells Yi Do who she is. I can't wait to see Yi Do react to Jae Hee is Ye Rin situation.

right??! Agh I'm dying. I hope, hope, hope that E Do figures it out soon, or that he's still as much in love with her as he was before... I'm just rooting for the show to make my dreams come true in that regard. I was super disappointed in Min-Suk, to be honest, except that knowing ANYBODY who transforms into another person at all would completely freak me out, so there's that.

And what there's a preview now?? Youtube? I'm off!

PS I also LOVE the OST.

I'm fine with anything so long as she didn't squeeze the air out of him haha^^

He seemed a liiiiitle unwell earlier in the episode, (I really liked his moment of "who is this" when she was Jae-Hee) but I don't know if that's why. My guess (and worry) is that she squeezed the air out of him.

I mostly just want him to still be in love with her, although I'm also aware of the fact *he hasn't actually seen or known her for the last 20 years* so it's understandable if he's not as immediately attracted to this woman he really *doesn't* know. I just hope the show handles it well, is all.

I read Kviewers speculate he fainted because she's basicly a stranger and he has a stranger(?) phobia, he knows he's about to loose it but Jae Hee didn't let go because she knows too. It was as if to say that Jae Hee is a stranger and he needs to start from scratch. Instead of thinking she's his 1st love.

I think theres a possibility for an open ending. One where Jae Hee is happy with herself and Jin Kyung while Yi Do is happy with himself and not hooked up to his 1st love.

But please make Jae Hee and Yi Do happen! I want a happy ever after~~~~

1

Ooh, I like that^^ ... and I hope for them to end up together too!! If for nothing else than because he's still in love with HER, he just knows her as Ye-Rin. Hopefully he can get to know her more fully now, and fall in love again^^

Happy Weekend, beanies!
I came back from trip last week. Dubai was so hot in this time of the year, but it was so fun too. I did skydiving and it was spectacular.
After trip, I got a lot of free time and dived right into dramas. I watched last episodes of One Spring Night. The entire drama was a pleasure and I’m proud that I followed each and every episodes diligently. In the later episodes, casts didn’t seem like they were acting, becoming their characters.

Then, I started watching WWW and it surprised me. The story about web portal corporates is fresh and i think brilliantly executed in early episodes. But it became weaker as it went on and now I just watch for the characters: strong women (both protagonists and villains). I also learned that the script was written by a writer who was Kim Eun Sook’s assistant writer. No wonder.
That’s all for my week. Wish everyone of you has a wonderful weekend.

Good morning and happy Friday, Beanies! This weekend is a super happy one for me--the birthday of two of my best friends, a party for all the people I went to Korea with (haven't seen them in a while!) and the premier of Hotel de Luna, which, I'm cautiously excited for.

I'm slooowly catching up on all the dramas I missed in end of 2017-2018-beginning of 2019, and compiling a list of favorites. I think it goes:
Just Between Lovers
I'm Not a Robot
Boyfriend
Prison Playbook
What's Wrong With Secretary Kim
My Strange Hero
The Great Seducer
Children of Nobody
Come and Hug Me
Your Honor

so far. But my list of things to watch has started to shriiiink and I KNOW there's still good one's out there. I want to watch Ahjusshi, I tried SKY Castle but couldn't get sucked in, I watched Mother (good, but I rushed it TT TT maybe I'll watch it again) maybe Live? Any other must watch suggestions for that end of 2017-2018-2019 period? I may have seen it, I just put my top 10 up here haha.

This week brought more philosophers--Hume--and while I'm... still not really sure what he believed (something about bread?) I'm sure I'll find out in class today. What's really important is: Spiderman is out, and it was amazing. Not a kdrama, but AMAZING. I'm gonna go watch it again next week. Happy Friday, Beanies!!

Yes, when I read what you wrote, I checked and I found this in Wikipedia: "Jeon Mi-seon (December 7, 1970 – June 29, 2019) was a South Korean actress. Though best known as a supporting actress in films and television series such as Memories of Murder (2003), Moon Embracing the Sun (2012), and Hide and Seek (2013), Jeon Mi-seon also played the leading role in Love Is a Crazy Thing (2005).[1][2][3][4]

Jeon was found dead at a hotel in Jeonju on June 29, 2019, in what police have described as a likely suicide.[5][6][7] She was 48." - It is extremely sad as if it really was suicide ... there must have been despair and so much unhappiness. 🙏 🙏 for her and her family. 48 years of age is still very young. 😞

1

Hi, @martinjsimwaba!
I didn't make it over to Open Thread last weekend, and just spotted your message now. Thanks so much for touching base!

Like you, I was saddened to learn of Jeon Mi-sun's death. What a wonderful actress. I hope she's at peace.

ARTHDAL CHRONICLES got a good bit of its mojo back -- just in time to go on hiatus until September. Grrr. Like you, I was glad to see that Eun-seom has turned a corner. I'm looking forward to his reunion with Tan-ya. I'd love to see them do their dance again, even if she has already found the star bell. He should know that his practicing with her made a big difference.

I'm also itching to see Eun-seom's reunion with his twin Saya -- and Magic Horse. I can imagine him making a dramatic entrance astride Helper.

I had three finales last week: MY ABSOLUTE BOYFRIEND, ANGEL'S LAST MISSION: LOVE, and NOKDU FLOWER. I watched the first two dramas as diversions while reveling in the sageuk. It is simply magnificent, with a terrific cast, and flawless writing and directing. I've commented on it in last week's What We're Watching in this thread:
http://www.dramabeans.com/2019/07/team-dramabeans-what-were-watching-164/comment-page-2/#comment-3490387
and here:
http://www.dramabeans.com/2019/07/team-dramabeans-what-were-watching-164/

Jo Jung-seok and Yoon Si-yoon are marvelous as a pair of half-brothers. Choi Moo-sung is fantastic in the title role. What a stellar production. It is impossible to recommend it highly enough.

On a lighter note, I've also been watching JOSEON SURVIVAL for its spoofery, and two potboilers, the Tdrama BEFORE WE GET MARRIED, and WEEKDAY AFTERNOON LOVERS.

I didn't watch the original version of DESIGNATED SURVIVOR, but am enjoying the Korean edition tremendously. It's twisty as all get out. Ji Jin-hee, Lee Joon-hyuk 1984, and Heo Jun-ho were the main draws for me, but the entire cast is as solid as the rock of Gibraltar.

Take care. ;-)

CRICKET - yeah yeah yeah. What i wanted from start i got now

New Zealand vs. England.

Both have never won a Cricket world cup before. 2019 is the time to get a new world champion. This match will be aired Free to Air.

Its coming home is surely an annoying chant. KIWIs all the way.

Schedule - foolish cricket schedule.

14 July - cricket world cup final, Wimbledon final, F1 race.

Tennis - nadal vs. federer oh oh oh ho.

Summer - Getting some good scolding from mom for my own foolishness and antics. This summer i'm not using fan or AC.
12-15 hours of no water drinking.
It was test of my physical and mental strength. Mother Earth saw my arrogance and put me on this summer heat.

Hi Everyone! ..... I hope you are all doing well today.

Perfume - Watching Seo Yi-and all his antics every week is too much fun.

Nokdu Flower - I'm up to the episodes where Yi-hyun is now Oni. ...... There's no way this ends well for him.

Arthdal Chronicles - I thought we'd have more Saya going head-to-head with Taealha, but I guess not because she's stuck in cave-jail/cave-dungeon. However it was cool to see him go at it with Tagon.

Angel's Last Mission - I have one episode left to watch to see who dies, or lives, or who fake-dies and comes back, or who appears to be living but really isn't or whatever they decide to do.

WWW: Ga-kyung's husband has a plan ..... Ga-kyung is a time-bomb of sorts ..... and the way Ga-kyung's mother-in-law carries herself is seriously no joke.

Designated Survivor: 60 Days - I like the conversations everyone is having in this show. Everyone's dialogues/conversations have kernels of truth and reasonableness, even though they might be trying to undermine someone and/or trying to further their own agenda.

That's all for now. Everyone take care and have a great Friday!

@beantown Unfortunately, I've never watched the American version so I have no idea if the Korean version closely follows it or if it's taking things in a different direction, but from your comment it sounds like it changed things up a bit. @beantown,
I started DS60D last night and am almost through episode 2.
O/T (The lengths of tvN episodes are killing me. I am also watching ARTHDAL. I just can’t finish 2 episodes back to back. ) Anyway,
I usually avoid pure political dramas but I think this will be more mystery than politics so I gave it a try.
I I was quickly drawn into the story. Definitely a 9-11 vibe. I like the cast and am waiting for the appearance (and another reason I am watching) of favorite Lee Joon-hyuk (1984).
An observation. Where do they get these actors who play Americans in kdramas? Maybe it is not so much the actors but the writing. In this drama for me they come across so particularly bad. Talk about being heavy handed.

I agree! The "american" actors are typically ham-handed and unoriginal...but it is a sk production!

2

@korfan, @beantown, @marcusnyc20 bong-soo,

I'm enjoying DESIGNATED SURVIVOR: 60 DAYS a whole lot. Mr. P is watching it, too -- having watched the American version. He notes some of the differences between them.

Park Hoon knocked it out of the park in his cameo.

Re: ham-fisted portrayals of Americans

I've noticed for a while now that many allegedly American characters are played by folks who are not native speakers of American English, or English, period. That may be a factor that contributes to stiffness. But I think that it's often the writing.

It's not just a September 11 vibe I've been getting. By the time I finished watching ep. 6, I couldn't help but be reminded of the Pueblo.

I need some advice on which drama to watch out of the slew of them just ended or ending or just beginning. Honestly, no descriptions are grabbing me. I've been watching Arthdal Chronicles, which I like, but I generally watch k drama for romance. Is it just that I'm jaded, or do the romance shows all seem more than usually slick in contriving to force emotions from me lately?

Anyway, can anyone recommend a current romance that they think is cracktastic and not to be missed? (proviso: I will not watch cheaters or terminal illness stories). I'd greatly appreciate a few k drama (not cdrama cause I think I've watched the best current cdramas) recommendations. Thanks in advance if you reply!

I'm currently addicted to re-watching many times The Secret Life of My Secretary. If you want a rom-com with lots of rom, couple moments, a ML to root for and even swoon over, a warm-hearted tale, little angst and much satisfaction ... I recommend this show whose OSTs I'm listening to now as I type. Light and feel-good with enough oomph to make the couple conflict meaningful.

Okay, let's talk about the elephant in the room. Last week I decided to watch the Joseon Survival and episode one was interesting so I marathoned the first 5 episodes and when I "came out of my marathon" the very first news story I saw was that the lead actor in the show has been arrested on a very serious charge. That drama has only released 10 episodes and it is probably a 16 episode series. What are the consequences going to be? It really doesn't seem like they can bring the actor back at all, ever, no matter the outcome of the arrest. What a horrible financial loss this will be to the producers and such. What is likely to happen? Switch out the main lead with someone new at this late date? Kill him off? Just end the show altogether? What do you beanies think will happen next to the production of the drama? I suppose this is the best type of reason to preproduce the dramas. I always liked it when the drama was being made at nearly the same time we are watching. But, I see that it can be a very risky venture for the people who have invested in the drama and everyone involved in it.

Yes, it was another bad week for K-entertainment. The series goes on hiatus as the producer looks to find a replacement for the last half of the show. But what actor wants to fill-in at this point of the series?

This week had various "defenses" raised to pending sexual assault cases: "we did not have sex, but if we did it was consensual," "there was mutual interest so it was implied consent," and "I was drunk so I do not remember."

Also unconfirmed reports stated that the madame involved in the Burning Sun controversy on prostitution solicitation may testify against YG.

I read that they are looking for replacement, the latest news are that his arrest warrant was granted by court so he won't be back on set for sure.

@zzthorn,
I vented below expressing my frustration at the situation for JOSEON SURVIVAL. There are a few of us watching and enjoying this dram from small TV Chosun (which gave us the fine GRAND PRINCE). A few random thoughts:
1. The second leads played by Song Won-seok and Park Se-wan have been a joy. They make a sweet couple;
2. For me the secondary characters including Jung Ga-ik/Monk (played by Lee Jae-yoon) have been more interesting than the leads;
3. JS is one of the few currently airing dramas that is available English subbed at ODK which I am hoping will continue to expand the number;
4. I thought JS survived an early speed bump when an early scene of attempted rape rightly turned off a number of people; and
5. I am glad the network/producers are trying to save the show.

@bong-soo Yes, I agree that the second leads are a sweet couple. But in an ill fated romance due to the fact that he's a historical figure in the time period and she is an interloper. The monk is totally scary to me. What an evil man!
As for the earlier scene of attempted rape, there are some other unusual (for kdrama particularly in the Joseon era) sexual situations or references brought to the viewers attention. I might not have even noticed if it hadn't been for the real life situation with the main male lead. Anyway, I am also glad that it appears they are going to try to save the show! I look forward to seeing how this goes. It is such an unusual time jump (since the vehicle came along) that I really want to find out how it all ends.

I suppose this is the best type of reason

On the contrary, there’s no saving a preproduced drama if the lead gets criminally charged. They will shelve the remaining episodes indefinitely. At least now they can switch actors.

@zzthorn, @welh, @shach, @marcusnyc20 bong-soo, @geliguolu sph_7,

I, too, have been enjoying JOSEON SURVIVAL, and was shocked out of my gourd by the news of its hiatus and the reasons therefore. I'm way late to this party, but am glad to read that in the interim, Seo Ji-suk has agreed to take over as Han Jung-rok. Break a leg, sir, and thank you for stepping up to the plate.

There's another elephant in the room, and that is the institutionalized alcohol abuse that is depicted as the cultural norm in Kdramas. LIVE vividly showed facets of it, such as the vengeful backlash against a drunk-driving arrest by a prominent and powerful member of society. The disgusting conditions and abuse that law officers have to contend with when protecting citizens from their own drunken obliviousness was also portrayed.

The social pressure to conform – i.e., drink like a fish – particularly at work-related events, is enormous. Criminal behavior is one of the potential consequences of alcohol abuse. I hope and pray that this incident serves as a wake-up call that leads to sincere and serious public discussion of the dangers of binge drinking. More than that, I hope that the parties involved find healing and peace of mind and heart.

This summer Korea toughen the law against drink driving and first celebrity victim was actor playing youngest prince in The Last Empress, but the drinking culture is so engraved, that I can't imagine anything change regardless that in near future.

@shach,
Thanks for that interesting news about ROK toughening its drunk driving laws. Putting more teeth into them is a good thing -- if they are enforced.

I agree that it's hard to imagine such deeply-entrenched customs changing any time soon. From where I sit, it looks as if the society is hell-bent on committing mass suicide. It's tragic. And preventable. It doesn't have to be that way.

Also, as regards to the drinking issue, this thought came to me. Perhaps not apropos but I recall reading something Jung Il-woo (a favororite, right?) said about his closest friend Lee Min-ho:

He continued, “The thing we have most in common is that we don’t really drink. He doesn't drink at all and I only started drinking recently as well. When we meet up, we have coffee and go to cafés. Nowadays, I do drink a couple glasses.”

Kudos to Lee Min-ho and probably the millions of others who have made the decision not to drink alcohol.

@marcusnyc20 bong-soo,

Yes, indeed, Jung Il-woo is one of my faves. Interesting article -- thank you. It's encouraging to read that there are folks who abstain, despite the social pressure to overindulge.

Lest I sound like Carry Nation, I'd like to clarify that most folks can consume ethanol in moderation without problem. A certain segment of the population, however, cannot do so. For them, avoidance of the offending substance is their only recourse. It is literally a matter of life and death.

1

@zzthorn, @welh, @shach, @marcusnyc20 bong-soo, @geliguolu sph_7,

Maybe trimming it to 16 episodes might make for a better, tightly-woven drama. I haven't seen Seo Ji Suk in anything, but good luck to him!

3

Now to add to JS’s problems.
SPOILER (maybe) but this drama is in the kdrama ICU so does it really matter?
The two previews at ODK have great looking action/fight sequences which shows the boys of Joseon have come to the future along with Jung-Rok et al.
Kkeok- Jeong looks quite dashing in a black three piece suit wielding a sword.
KJH is in these scenes so something will have to be done about that.
(I hope they don’t end up on the cutting room floor.)
The life of a kdrama producer.

2

Ah noooo just when I thought I'd dropped it, you're telling me they went back to the future @marcusnyc20? I think I will have to have to watch that...
The show's title has a very ironic sound now - will it survive the kdrama ICU room?

2

Actually, on second thought going to the future might solve all our problems: hero gets into an accident at the beginning of the episode (cameo by ToD), he gets face surgery, and voila, new actor. They can film a few action scenes with him, and recycle any general skirmishes footage where KJH seems like an extra.

3

@wishfultoki, @marcusnyc20 bong-soo,

I like the way you guys think! Great salvage scenarios!

When I was watching episode 1 and it looked as if Kkeok-jeong were going to have to stay behind in Joseon, I was immediately reminded of The Dread Pirate Roberts in THE PRINCESS BRIDE. "Kkeok-jeong" may become a job title rather than a personal name. That way uri Kkeok-jeong can go to the future, but history won't be missing him because there's a stand-in.

I didn't get a good gander at the old geezer who cast the spell or whatever that caused the fog to descend before the truck ran off the road. I have a feeling he was the old monk who was killed by the murderous Jung Ka-ik, but I'm really confused.

1

Was feeling a little meh and exhausted by literally doing nothing but just tired of everything materialistic. I don't tend to like Ed Sheeran's songs but he came with the right song lyrics at the right time.

It sums the world we live in so well. I need to watch a similar drama as well.

This week I barely had time to watch but still, I managed to catch My Absolute Boyfriend because being pre-produced, the Chinese subbed eps will always be posted right after the drama aired in Korea.

I think I have been rage watching this show for some weeks now. Finally, my rants gave birth to my 1st ShitDoodle on fanwall. It felt oddly satisfying.

I've been behind ALML for the past couple of weeks. I can't decide whether which is worse- ALML or My Absolute Boyfriend? By virtue of Shin Hye Sun, I'd say ALML is better just because. Yet, I haven't watched the latest eps while I FF and finished MAB. At the end of the day, perhaps I just couldn't stand the way they handled the theological aspects.

Another thing I can't figure what - why is Lee Jae Wook so appealing? I have been scrutinizing his face and trying to be objective. At some angles, he doesn't even look half as handsome as Jang Ki Yong. Don't kill me! Yet, I have this immense emotion that swells up inside me whenever he comes on screen. What sorcery is this??!!!

Maybe it's character that he plays? I noticed that I'm more attracted to character than the actor, I thought that Jan Ki Yong was so incredibly hot in "Go Back Couple", but no other drama I watch with after that made me feel the same attraction?

That's entirely possible. I can only find out when I see him in another role.

Maybe I have been fed up recently by what dramas try to feed me as cute. I hate it when an actor acts cute. Usually it's the actresses who do that but sometimes, the guys do as well. Lee Jae Wook is a fine example of cute without even trying.

Which hopefully will be soon, because I find him incredibly hot in this drama too, and I will be truly happy to verify my attraction by watching him play lead in another project ;)

I have to agree. Sometimes the characters actors play makes the actor themselves seem really attractive. A most recent example of that happening to me is Kim Young-Kwang. I always found him ok looking. But after watching The Secret Life of My Secretary I suddenly found him extremely attractive (I loved his character in the drama).

This also happened with me and Joo Won. I found him kinda odd looking but after Gaksital I suddenly found myself super attracted to him. There are most examples I can pull up but I think a lot of the time the characters they play really help in the attraction.

I'm watching MAB with my mom. Wasn't really my choice as I wanted to watch ALML instead (I love Shin Hye Sun). I'm not religious so shows that feature religious things are like fantasy to me, so we'll see if I am bothered how the theological aspects are handled.

As far as MAB, it's ok but so much doesn't make sense. How is he even powered? The whole idea that anyone else kissing him will reprogram him to them is one of the worst designs ever. I could go on... Definitely one of those dramas where you have to completely turn off your brain and not think anything or else none of the drama will make sense.

Regarding Nokdu Flower, my immediate reaction is to say, "No, nobody survives at the end." I want to be completely wrong about this but I don't see things ending happily for anyone. This possible upcoming sadness certainly doesn't take away from this drama though, because gosh it's good.

Hi Everyone and Happy OT!
While I myself and well and relatively happy, something has been bothering me.

Some of you know that I've mentioned another blog site, "Bitches Over Dramas" a few times. That blog's owner was always on the ball in posting views on several shows. Usually something or other would be posted within a couple of days. She is also one who kept her readers posted on what was happening in her life.

However there's been 3 weeks of silence without warning and it's not like 'Bitches' at all. It is worrying. The least worrisome reason I can come up for this might be that her account got hacked.

In many cases we know of only 1 online means to reach an online acquaintance. Once we can no longer access that, the contact is lost. If we at least have social media, I guess we might still be traced or found. However, in the case of 'Bitches', there have been no updates on social media and no response to email that another reader sent.

Under these circumstances, I realise that there is nothing one can do other than wait and pray. And it puts into my mind that I should put down my Accounts' IDs and Passwords somewhere just in case I need someone else to update my status with online friends.

Sorry to sound so serious, but this has been on my mind for some time and it really hit home when a few of us realised that 'Bitches' seems to have just 'vanished', and there's no way to reach her or find out how she is. Just 🙏 that all's well.
