Morning, beanies! Is there anyone else out there with a massive love for Rookie Historian Goo Hae ryung? The seesaw between humor and heartfelt emotion kills me!!

Rookie Historian is my happy pill. The leads are cute and the show itself is fun so I really like it. The palace politics is more of a subplot (because Hae-ryung being herself is the plot HAHA) while the secondary characters have their own quirks and charms. This show deserves all the love!

I love it more than I expected! I don't know how the writer, the director and the cast keep a light-hearted ton so far. The secondary characters are the real stars for me. Sambo and the two servant ladies always make my day. The historians even grew on me and I didn't expect the king to have a comic character. I'm anxious with the more serious political part of it as we're getting closer to the finale.

This show is a superstar. I find with a lot of romances, I start to lose interest in the sub-plots or side action and mostly want to fast forward to the "juicy" bits (teehee). HOWEVER, with GHR - as it's been said by many - nearly every character has something entertaining or interesting to offer. The story just feels incredibly well-rounded and even those parts I'd usually FFW through, I stick around for because I'm always pleasantly surprised.

This week's episodes in particular were pretty special for a whole whack of reasons (I won't get into here for fear of spoilers).

I loved this week's episodes. Usually I thought the show was too cartoonish (and Cha Eun-woo was way too pretty so I didn't feel real lol), but the show started to surprised me.

I love Rookie. This is the first drama my sister and I have squeed over together since Moonlight drawn by clouds.

I do love the way they are balancing the humorous and the more serious/heartfelt scenes. I laugh so hard I forget these are times when someone could get beheaded(because poison wasn't enough) anytime. And I feel all the feels during the emotional moments. And I never feel like either scene is jarring me from the other.

they have a light way of pushing political things forward. starting with the hiring of female historians; then the all-access pass as one may call it; serving the people over power manuevering; loyalty to the people vs loyalty to the throne.

some of the things are discussed in passing and worth pondering about but not delved in too much to cause a diversion from the original trajectory. i mean, isn't Rookie more of a love story than political?

I love it simply because it has both political strife and cutesy romance. I find it a bit weird especially in the last 2 eps where the prince is almost nonexistent.

Happy Friday, Beanies!

After a very loooooong week, Taylor Swift's newest album, Lover, is out now, and I couldn't stop listening to every song. I usually listen to Korean Pop, K-Indie, and K-Rock, so listening to this album sparked a change to my Friday night this week. My favorite tracks are Lover, Death by a Thousand Cuts, Cruel Summer and The Man! I've been a fan of hers even before I became exposed to Korean Music and this album totally lifted my mood today.

What are your favorite albums/songs that can lift your mood? Who knows, we might find some gems in your favorite songs too!

I've never listened much to Taylor Swift, I feel like an alien ๐Ÿ˜…

My favourite songs/albums are related to something personal for me. I usually listen to cartoon, animes, TV series and movies soundtracks because they remind me of happy memories and therefore lift up my mood :)

If I had to choose an album, it would be Nietzsche's Syndrome from the Japanese band ONE OK ROCK. I'd added Remember, BIGBANG's second album but... everyone knows what happened.

I found out randomly a Japanese band on YouTubew, frederic, and their song "odd loop" is a happy pill!

There are a few Japanese girl group I like a lot too. Such as Perfume, Happiness, E-Girls. They're really energetic and boost my mood for the day.

OST from comedy dramas are among my favourite too: Welcome to Waikiki, My Fellow Citizens, History of A Salaryman, Special Labor Inspector Jo, etc.

Ulala Session, Kiha and the Faces, PSY, Crayon Pop, Dreamnote and Orange Caramel have particular cheeky songs and music videos that are a treat to the eyes and ears.

3

ONE OK ROCK's music is really good! And E-Girls too! Before discovering Kpop, my playlist was a mix of OPM (Original Pinoy Music) and Jrock (ostly anime OSTs).

For OSTs, I instantly like those sang by Yuju (Gfriend), Punch, Jeong Sewoon, and Chungha plus that one SF9 OST (Love Me Again). There will always be an OST I like from dramas I've watched but Age of Youth's OST is my favorite one!

For Kpop groups, I really love anything released by Gfriend, LOONA, Red Velvet, IZ*ONE, N.Flying, AB6IX, and SF9. Their title tracks, as well as their b-sides, are really great!

Required fields are marked *

I don't know what OPM is. Something new to discover!

I love Yuju's voice! Her OSTs are great. Same for Punch. I was pleasantly surprised with Chungha's voice as she keeps improving. AoY's OST is quite good too. I don't have in mind which OST Jeong Sewoon did but I like his songs. The SF9 one is nice :)

I listen to the same kpop groups except AB6IX, I only listened to their title track. Out of the Produce 101 group projects, IZ*ONE's songs are my favourite.

Required fields are marked *

OPM is a mix of both English (an easy listen) and Filipino songs. Those by bands like Ben & Ben are great songs (in both languages) so you can check out their music if you have time.

The most remarkable OST Sewoon did was "It's You" in What's Wrong With Secretary Kim! He won best OST on Soribada Best K-Music Awards for that one. Hehe

The b-sides of AB6IX were really great. If you're not into loud music, I suggest the songs written by member Kim Donghyun, Shining Stars and Dance for Two!

And I agree, in terms of discography of produce project groups, IZ*ONE has the best one. I hope X1 will release great songs. WANNAONE's first album was really great but the following albums only had 1 song I liked while the other songs were meh (wasted potential).

2

@sensationalfantasy I will check AB6IX and OPM out :)

That was Jeong Sewoon's song :o I remember now!

Wanna One's discography didn't surprise me because I had low expectations after listening to I.O.I's (I was the most excited for them actually). I might check out X1's songs but I'm not that enthusiastic. I agree on the wasted potential as contestants go through to a survival and end up not with so great songs.

It feels like songs in the show are better produced and when they're a group, they use not so great composers or too "safe" sounds.

1

@mango the concept evaluation songs on Season 2 were really great and WANNAONE's debut song Energetic and album were great too but after that everything went downhill... that I had to stop stanning them and place my focus on Sewoon only.

I agree with the "safe" sounding music. I know it is friendly music for the general public but we all know that the quality of their music dropped and the way their agency treated them is not that good.

I am and will always be a fan of Produce Series but I am getting older and tired of shows like these. Mnet seriously needs to take a break especially now that they have 2 active project groups promoting (and an IOI reunion).

0

@sensationalfantasy I wasn't fond of Energic, so I was quite surprised to see that the quality dropped with each release. I just ended up enjoying their variety show appearances (just like I.O.I).

I followed religiously the first season just to be burnt at the end. I only watched second season's performances and meme materials because I was already sick of survival shows ๐Ÿ˜… JBJ had better management and discography as an other group project imo.

Mnet basically created a group with a 5 years long contract. I hope this trend of group projects from survival shows will die soon. It will benefit members for a while but once their contract are terminated they might not get as much exposure or be as successful.

Hi Everyone! ..... I hope you are all doing well today.

Hotel Del Luna - The firefly!

Designated Survivor: 60 Days - Son Suk-koo (Secretary Cha), I hope to see you in another drama very soon.

Justice - Someone, anyone, take Tak Soo-ho out!! Hurry!!

Let Me Hear Your Song - I'm finding Yeon Woo-jin very interesting in this role. The way he fluidly moves from nice to weird/creepy in an instant is not something I previously thought he could do.

Doctor John - I think I'm sticking with this after all as I'm actually finding the medical cases, and Ji Sung, kind of interesting.

That's all for now. Everyone take care and have a great Friday!

Lol the firefly in HDL. That's one way to add ambiguity to the characters: we don't even know if we're dealing with person A or B here and even if it's B, we don't know if we're dealing with a villain or a much maligned spirit. When all else fails, make the character a beetle or bug, then if we don't like him, we can squash it! ๐Ÿ˜† But actually, I know show is not going for the facile but the rather the layered and deeply so!

Ditto, ditto for Doc John. It's strangely engaging.

I should probably wait for the Goo Hae Ryung (Rookie Historian) thread, but this bugged me.
When the crown prince and the haughty female historian did their "day out on the town" why did they have to have her beat him in Tuho? (I'm going to have to look that game up.) You know, he couldn't throw a stick in a container and she could. I mean, COME ON. I was hoping it was because he was losing on purpose in order to pay the young kids because they beat him. But he looked so askance at her when she was able to do it. We already had this scene (and better) when Hae Ryung was able to shoot the bullseye. It just annoyed me. If only there would have been some eye wink or something to let us know that the Crown Prince was "taking a dive." Other than that, I love this show.

1
5

Required fields are marked *

why would that annoy you? I feel like the writers are doing those little things to show that in that era women were able to do what the men did, honestly I like how the women are taking charge being bold brave and defiant. Women like that paved the way for us modern women.
THE FUTURE IS FEMALE!!

It looked like they just wanted to show the Crown Prince wasn't always perfect and can not do some simple things such as throwing a stick.

I didn't mind that she was proficient. She was born to wealth and probably played tulo all the time. It didn't bug me that she could do it. What bugged me is that he (who's so good at archery. And talked about growing up outside the palace) was so pathetic. Doesn't it seem more likely that he was just losing on purpose, so that he could give the poor kids who were playing against him money? I thought that would have made a better story line. Him winking at her and her understanding that he was such a good guy he could let the kids think he was inept. That he let them win. Instead, we get him looking at her all annoyed--just like how Lee Rim was upset when Hae Ryung beat him. WHICH WAS TOTALLY in character, by the way, Lee Rim has been coddled all his life. I'm having a hard time believing that the crown prince never played tulo. I really like this drama, so I'm going to be tougher on it when I think the writing is lazy. And this (to me) was lazy writing.

I understand now. I'm the opposite. I'm more forgiving with this drama because it's only one scene in an episode.

Maybe he was just having an off day?

What bothered me more about their 'Crown Prince's Day Off/Basically a date' was how little Apprentice Song spoke. Especially during their meal together when she actively put aside her notebook to show she was off the clock.

Good Friday, beanies!!!!
I couldn't stand curiosity and binged "Put your head on my shoulders" practically in two days, with a little bit of fast forwarding...
It was cute. Honestly, some Chinese dramas have this charm where the narration is very harmonic, very fort going (I don't know if I can say it that way in English), and very simple, and yet realistic and touching. I could say the same about "le coup de foudre", and "boss and me"...
You don't get extrem cliffhangers, you don't get annoying second leads, you get a lot, a lot of OTP scenes, even doing simple stuffs... I feel it is very relatable. True life is not so full of adventures and emotional depths... not even by falling in love or deciding to marry someone.
I like the Chinese dramas take into consideration the role of parents in the life of children, and they portray honest family issues... whereas I feel in many typical Korean dramas (16 episodes), they like to make the leads orphans or maybe just with only one parent, so that they don't waste time in family scenes.
Of course, the Chinese dramas have more episodes as well, I know...

But anyway. Not a bad critic. I enjoy both, Chinese and Korean...
I am just saying, I notice the differences and it is interesting for me.
I always feel Korean leads are too much independent and although it matches very good with the plots, it is unrealistic. In real life, we would take higher consideration on what or parents or family members (and even friends) would say about or choices in life.

@javinne Oh yes, I enjoyed both Put YHOM Shoulder and Le Coup de Foudre. The latter was more substantial than the former, but the former had more cute OTP-ness than the latter. However I prefer the character of the female lead in LCDF more, as she did almost as well in the giving department as the guy. Yes, I like how understated the romances are, and how more true-to-life with less of the high-drama romances in some kdramas.

However I prefer the length of kdramas and often wish cdramas would edit a whole lot. And with all the length they have, then cdramas should offer a more meaty and reasonable resolution to a couple breakdown other than for eg. forgiving the other party because of a possible fatal disease.

Required fields are marked *

Agree with you, the female lead in LCDF was amazing in her own shy(ing) way!! I really enjoyed how well they suited each other, way better in LCDF than in PYOMS, but both had cuteness and fun.
You know, I really, really love the family dynamics in both dramas, even in Love 202 (now I come with a new one), I really loved how mature and good parents the parents were, allowing their children to be independent and yet, being present in their lives. It touches my heart because I practically didn't have parents and I suffered a lot, due to lack of love and protection.
Every time this happens, I feel I come to dramas to fulfill my desire of a nice family life, since I didn't have one. ๐Ÿ˜•

I am on about episode 15 of Boss and Me and find it quite cute (I also really love the actress). I have Put Your Head On My Shoulder all ready for me to watch, which I will do after my current list of dramas. I had only read a description which sounded cute so I'm glad to see it's good!

I can also tell the differences between cdramas and kdramas. Like you, I like and watch both but sometimes I'm in the mood for cdramas and sometimes I'm in the mood for kdramas.

I think what I really like about cdramas is they tend to be less dramatic and more grounded in reality. There are more friendships and less bitchy secondary characters (which kdramas love but I don't). The relationships tend to have more realistic issues then the (too often) contrived drama kdramas prefer. Both have their similarities but they also have their subtle differences which make them unique and enjoyable in their own ways.

3

Required fields are marked *

Yeah. Cdramas also don't have much of cliffhangers, which is good if you want to watch slowly and without stress....

0
reply

Required fields are marked *

Lol, Iโ€™m opposite. Grew up watching all the family and neighbors meddling in the life of the leads so I hate it. And cdramas likes to give me the life story of everyone down to the leadโ€™s parentโ€™s friendโ€™s family pet. So, I ran off to the land of 16 episodes and never looked back.๐Ÿคฃ

I would even go to the land of the 10 episodes if only they put on some bgm.๐Ÿ˜…

0
1
reply

Required fields are marked *

Well, but it can also depend on the plot and who are the leads... in the case of "Le coup de foudre", "go go squid" and "Put your head on my shoulders", the whole stories are so fresh and funny and touching that I wouldn't have minded to watch even a little bit more of some secondary characters (not necessarily all of them). On the other hand I have tried watching other cdramas where meddling and stupid annoying rivals where all over the place and I couldn't even finish them. These dramas I mentioned have been good, but I am afraid most of them are bad. Whereas most kdramas are actually pretty good, and that is why I watch more kdramas and it is also ok the 16 eps format. (For me)

I am happy with everything, as long as the story is good and I like the OTP. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜…

Happy weekend Beanies!

I envy people who pack 5 minutes before departure without breaking a sweat or forgetting anything. Some of my stuff to be packed is already scattered around my bedroom, but long live procrastination! ;)

Two weeks ago my friend stayed at my place for a birthday party in my neighborhood, this weekend the roles are reversed. We are treating a mutual friend at an Asian restaurant and we might do some shopping and sightseeing in their lovely city if we do not forget to leave the restaurant. :P Once we get comfy and start talking we usually stay there and only move to get to another place with food and drinks. :P

While the company and the Asian food are the main attractions, I would not say no to a movie afterwards either. My Disney geek is disappointed that I still have not seen Aladdin or The Lion King! :O

But I will not forsake my K-family. The road to the city will be paved with K-pop carpool karaoke, and Rookie Historian Goo Hae-Ryung will be our backup plan ;)

Hi Everyone and Happy OT!
I've been trying to re-watch some of Hotel (de la) Luna. It is so rich and so dense that I feel every scene and many lines of dialogue need to be remembered for future reference, because foreshadowing is super rampant in this series.

Show has been consistently good. The logic of the mythology, the characters' personalities, the production value and the beauty of the show, have all been consistently maintained. It's still holding up well enough past the halfway mark. I applaud this show for making its main focus on death and the afterlife, something far from dark. In fact we look forward to greater hope and 'life-givingness' in the dying, so to speak. Morbidity never looked so good!

A Moment at Eighteen is still so precious and true to life. Looking back I think it's true that many times our own worst enemies are ourselves, especially in those turbulent younger years. Show gives us characters both reasonable and smart, or foolish and mean, but relatable. Watching them learn and change and hoping for redemption for the kids keeps me hooked from the first minute to the last.

Doctor John is still going strong, but I hope the focus on the doctor's health does not take attention too much from the diagnoses of other patients. I like the budding romance of the side characters and hope the dive into the ethics of euthanasia will be well executed.

Afterall, they won't face much of the consequences. Its the common man that has to be at the mercy of Mother Earth.

Happy Friday indeed! Can't wait to watch the final episode of Before We Get Married. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a satisfying ending to this rollercoaster of a show which has been my crack drama for this summer.
Now looking for a nice new drama to take me into the fall. I've heard good things about Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung so might check that out. I was super excited for Love Alarm, but then I heard that it's got a cliffhanger ending so I'm holding off on that drama. I kind of guessed there was something up after I saw it was just 8 episodes.
Just started TW drama My Lucky Star and so far I am liking it. Have a good weekend everyone!

Don't know why I still think about the fact that Im Soo-jung and Jeon Hye-jin were both in I'm Sorry I Love You. I guess that drama will always have a special place in my heart, even though it did not appeal to me initially.

Nice to see Im Soo-jung and Lee Da-hee being close in reality now.

I was so obsessed with Iโ€™m sorry I love you. It is one of the first drama which drew me in into kdrama world and also a disovery of Im Soojung.
And Iโ€™m still shocked over that ending whenever I think about it.

Screenwriter Lee Kyung-hee and director Lee Hyung-min meet again in Chocolate this year, they collaborated for Misa and Chocolate is on JTBC, so... maybe? ๐Ÿ˜„ Screenwriter Lee Kyung-hee is all about heart-wrenching stories, it might not work so well these days but she could still try I guess.

The first time I watched it it was just "one of the K-dramas" for me, then I watched 'I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK' which left some impression but I wouldn't say it's my favorite, then somehow in 2007 when I watched 'I'm Sorry I Love You' again it suddenly clicked, I think it was all thanks to paying attention to Im Soo-jung. I've watched almost all of Im Soo-jung's works so far, the ones I could find. I still like her in Misa the most.

My brain somehow always blocks me from thinking about the ending...

Happy OT Beanies!

I have a small favour ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. Before the results for a concert ticket last May, I asked for good lucks here. I know it doesnโ€™t work that way but I feel like those well wishes did help me get tickets since Iโ€™m unlucky in everything.

This time, I have lost the two rounds for ticketing ๐Ÿ˜ญ and my last chance is a regular ticketing, which gives me a .0000000000001% of getting any. But here I am, asking for good vibes, and all the luck in the world to get a ticket ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ

I'm sad that I have to say goodbye to DS:60D cast, the drama itself was rather medicore, but actors and characters grew on me so much that I gonna miss them a lot. This led me to reflection that good actors and great chemistry between them can elevate drama quality and cover a lot of plot holes

Any beanies in Australia?

I'm headed there next month (for the first time! I'm excited!) and, while most of the itinerary is pretty full, I'm still figuring out what to do with my time in Sydney (11-13th), Melbourne (14th-16th), and Perth (22nd-24th).

I have some ideas already, but any suggestions of what to do are welcome! And what to eat -- there are so many amazing-sounding restaurants, especially in Melbourne, that I'm sad I only have one stomach and can't eat all the things.

Thanks!

So happy it's Friday but would be even happier if it was the weekend. It's been an incredibly busy last 2 weeks at work and yesterday I worked over 15 hours (with the rest of the 2 weeks being 10-11 hours). Super tired and ready to sleep for a week ๐Ÿ˜ด

Before We Get Married Loving this drama and I'm so glad I waited to watch this before it was finished. I'm not sure how people survived live watching this with only a single drama a week! I love how mature and adult of a drama this is and the chemistry between the leads is off the charts. I just wish Weiwei had come to her senses sooner and realized her current relationship was toxic. And the kiss scenes are lovely ๐Ÿ˜˜

Rookie Historian Goo Hae-Ryung Super adorable drama! I didn't like Cha Eun-woo in Gangnam Beauty but he is doing a great job as the romantic and innocent dreamer prince. Poor guy has not had an easy life despite being a prince but it hasn't affect his innate goodness. I am also super happy the crown prince is a true brother who loves and cares for his younger brother.

The Untamed I'm enjoying this but was super confused with the first 2 episodes (I'm on about ep. 10). I think the drama would have been much better served to have started with the death scene and then immediately gone into the events prior to it. Instead the drama skips forward 16 years then after a couple episodes it jumps back 16 years again and has stayed there since. It made the first 2 episodes confusing and they had little emotional impact when these characters meet again after 16 years. But otherwise I'm enjoying it. Xiao Zhan does feel a bit green but he is improving as the drama progresses.

Princess Silver Really enjoyed this drama and so happy it had a happy ending (atleast for our leads). All the actors did a great job. The actions of the characters made sense and the plot made sense. There were some tragic parts that made me cry (like Emperor Qi and his story) but were excellently done. Highly recommend if you like cdrama historicals.

I think there were many of us who did it the way @stpauligurl did. Had I known how suspenseful it was I probably would have waited too.

I dropped watching Princess Silver. I only watched up to episode 16. I am not sure of the male lead. He have no emotions of sadness, mad/angry, and happy. He is good looking but that is about it. LOL

Rejoice, for this weekend is the finale of Before We Get Married, a lovely drama about bad relationships. And I'm so happy, because it doesn't seem the producers are going for redemption for the exes. I'm glad. I really hate Haoyi and Ziyuan, they just don't know their own shortcomings.

On the other hand, I've fallen into the cdrama and novel Ashes to Love. I really, really love the flawed persona of Run Yu. Come to mama and I'll hug you and never let go!

Wooo to the weekend!

I'm debating if I should (FINALLY) start Goblin. Though this weekend I've actually got a bunch of family commitments (a freshly born niece and my parents are in town to visit), so maybe not the right time to start such a notoriously epic show?

Also - I'm looking for a decent (FREE, preferably) ENG sub of the 'Cheese in the Trap' movie.... if anyone has any leads... give a holler.

Goblin is notoriously epic in its first episode, not too much in later episodes (except at the end!). Maybe wait though, because the episodes are long. Or try watching with the parents ;)

The CHEESE IN THE TRAP movie is ok, I guess, but the drama has more spunk. I watched it on drama cool (don't know if it's available in your country).

Hello all:
Aish, moving is so complicated. I struggle with anxiety so i am drinking a lot of calming herbal teas to stop myself from freaking out. For example, i have never gotten a cellphone. i just never saw the use of them. I post pics to instagram by using my kindle, my gmail addy, and amazon photos. Somehow it works. So, there i was trying to transfer my cable, internet, and phone to the new address and the lady on the other end was like, "But Miss Carole, you need a phone nowadays." So i give in to her, which was freaking me out anyway because it's all new and because i struggle with official paperwork fear. I can be a total wreck during tax time. Anyways... Phone was supposed to arrive later but it arrived sooner. So of course i'm freaking out. Must drink more peppermint and chamomile, and take more natrum muriaticum
i pop my homeopathy pills like candy. Other than that, i'm trying to finish editing a short story for an anthology. The editor loves my story but i wanted to add something new to it. And i want it done before the weekend so i could go on with three other stories i'm supposed to be finishing. Plus i have to move stuff into the rental van all weekend. Ah me. Well, this is a new chapter of my life now i guess. Other than that, doggie has gotten older suddenly. Like that. So beginning this year, he has battled canine dementia (which we kinda took care of with herbal supplements) and Cushings, which is causing him to be somewhat lame in the legs and to pee over the house. Because of my various health issues esp the insomnia battle, i looked all over for a house keeper. I stated it simply, "The house is a mess. Hubby has had to take care of it and the place is filthy. I need a house cleaner who will not make me feel ashamed when she walks into the house." So, will see how that goes. I wish life wouldn't stress me out to the degree that it does. I mean, i really should not go freaking out over such small things.

Dramas:
Why do i suddenly start avoiding a drama when i don't like the love pairing? That's what's happening with Chang'An and Novoland. I must endure though.

Watcher, Justice, and KCSI are my big addictions right now. Mr Temporary is also good. Everything else is kinda falling by the wayside.

Happy weekend, all.

Good luck and best wishes @scifiwritir. Hopefully soon you will be resettled and in a better place physically, emotionally and spiritually.
It is amazing you held out this long without a cellphone.
(I assume you are getting a smartphone of some sorts right?)

2013 was the big year of change for me. I decided to downsize (if you will) and relocate to NYC. Looking back I donโ€™t know how I did it but I took it one thing at a time and kept pressing forward. I had to hire contractors to fix up my Baltimore row house so I could sell it; get rid of almost all of my โ€œstuffโ€; hire a real estate person for the sale, go to NYC and start the search for a rental unit; hire a NY real estate person to find a rental and finally find an apartment and sign a lease. I started in February, moved into a 450 sq. ft. studio rental in NYC in July and sold my row house in August.
Postscript. In April of 2017 I purchase my first smartphone! I had decided after 4 years in Manhattan to relocate to Queens. I wanted to avoid real estate broker fees and I knew I needed a smartphone and some useful real estate apps if I wanted to find an apartment on my own. My mission was successful because I signed a lease (with no fees) on the first apartment I looked at which I found on one of my apps.
Sorry for the long โ€˜my storyโ€™ post.
I am also enjoying WATCER (anticipating the finale) and MR. TEMPORARY.

I had posted this elsewhere, in 'Melo is My Nature' ('Be Melodramatic') the character of the celebrity 'frenemy' of one of the housemates seems to be deliberately made-up to resemble *Yoo In-na*, which makes the press stories about these two frenemies being 'bestest friends forever' particularly funny.

TGIF! Hope everyone had good week! And I'd like to thank for beanies' concern on my eye issue. Please make sure to take frequent breaks while enjoying dramas for your eye health. It was some week-It's shame to hear about Gu Hye-sun couple (Honestly I thought man was too young when they married). Drama-wise, I was happy getting some answers, but how sad Chung-myung turned into a firefly (and even had to watch his love kisses another guy) in HDL (but there was something good came out from this- in post below lol). Interview-wise there were a few interviews of casts from dramas just ended, and Han Bo-reum who played the FL in "Level Up" was one of them. Han is more familiar with us as despicable ex-wife Yoo-ra in "Memories of the Alhambra".

[OSEN,2019.08.19; Starnews,2019.08.20] Han Bo-reum(33) has grown to the next level as an actress with her first FL role in "Level Up". "Level Up" is a romcome a restructuring expert and a game fan working hard to release a new game to save a gaming company which went under. When asked how she feels now that the show ended, Han said, "It was a pre-production drama, so I actually felt that it was over already. But after monitoring, I thought "It's really over now." when it finished last airing. I think I am sending "Level Up" off as Yeon-hwa. I'm sad but it was a project I was really happy. I grew attached to the staff members and actors a lot on the scene. There was always laughter on the set. When someone tried to tell a difficult story, it was released quickly because the atmosphere was very good. There was a lot of good memories."

"Level Up" is Hans's first project playing the lead. Han said, "I was very burdened and pressured to take the first lead role. I was very worried because I had to lead it as the lead. Since I couldn't cause any trouble, I was under pressure that I had to do as much as I could. I prepared more. I talked a lot with director-nim and actors I acted with. They helped me to adapt to the set environment comfortably." Han Bo-reum focused on "image training" to completely digest Sin Yeon-hwa role. "I tried to find a compatibility between us, rather than trying to create the character itself. There are various sides in me. I thought I should find and use a similar aspect of Yeon-hwa and act."

In the show Han played Shin Yeon-hwa, the head of the game planning team who makes every effort to save the company that is collapsing. She was the center of romance between the male hero, Andante (Seong hoon) and Kwak Han-cheol (Cha Sun-woo). She showed a pleasant comical acting, and a surprisingly good performance. In the past, Han has played a dark and poisonous role rather than a bright and cheerful role. In her previous project "The Memory of Alhambra" she played a hateful Go Yoo-ra with strong impression, thus Han expected romance in "Level Up". Han said, "I've only played roles thrown away or die. I was actually expecting a lot because I was told it...
