Premiere Watch: Catch the Ghost

Time slot: Monday & Tuesday
Broadcaster: tvN
Genre: Comedy, crime
Episode count: 16 episodes

After a four year hiatus, it’s good to see Moon Geun-young back in dramaland in Catch the Ghost with Kim Sun-ho. The two costars will partner up to keep the city’s commuters safe. Focusing on the city’s transit police, the drama follows rookie Moon Geun-young as she learns the ins and outs of the job from Kim Sun-ho. The two may be partners, but they’re like oil and water. She’s an “act first, think later” type of person who’s more likely to follow her heart than any rules (as long as it’s in the pursuit of justice, of course). Kim Sun-ho on the other hand is measured, calm, and would prefer to never be in the thick of things. That desire to play it safe is stretched to its limit constantly as the subway is a surprisingly tough beat. The subway teems with all manner of criminals but it’s not all pickpockets and pervs. Their biggest challenge will be tracking down a serial killer who’s known as the “Subway Ghost.” That case ties into a personal mission for Moon Geun-young, as the main reason she applied to be a transit police officer was to track down her sister who went missing under mysterious circumstances. The only clue she has to go on is that her sister was last seen on the subway and it may be that her disappearance is linked to the Subway Ghost.

On demand Korea seems to have exclusive license for this drama for those in US :)

I found it there but can't seem to find a way to get subtitles. Is there a trick to it? I've not used On demand Korea before.

the problem with On Demand Korea is that most dramas don't have eng subs. =( But Catch the ghost just aired so maybe the subs will take some time, but if it takes too long is because it won't have them, unfortunately.

Thank you @aletum now I understand. Ha. But great news, I found that one of my favorite non mainstream kdrama sites also has this. daebakdrama and there are no redirects or ads or anything at that site, just the episodes fully english subbed.

I'm so excited to see Moon Geun-Young back. Her legend 'My Little Bride' and 'Innocent Steps' are my all time favorite. Hope this one is good. Since comedy&crime is my soft spot, anyway.

This sounds right up my alley as I love mysteries. And I look forward to seeing Kim Sun-ho as a lead after watching his performance in Strongest Deliveryman.

Just watched the first episode and I love the dynamic of the two leads. The mystery is surprisingly intriguing so I’ll probably keep watching this. And who could resist mgy’s puppy eyes hahah

Watched the first two episodes and I gotta say, I'm charmed! I've never seen anything Moon Geun-young has acted in (a tragedy, I know), so I was happily surprised by how great she is. I'll gladly check out her other works!

On another note, the dynamic between the two leads is delightful. Kim Sun-ho is hilariously awkward and a great contrast to Moon Geun-young's character. I just wanna see them fumble around trying to catch the bad guys, like the two puppies they are

Watching this for MGY. Seems like the plot is interesting but first EP got my blood boiling.. If that really happened or is happening then it is a very sick society of stalking women as potential rape victims like it is just a game of prey.
I don't know if they are trying to be funny but when the guy hit the car with his moped, it just seems so silly. He could've done something else to help her. Okay, let's get to EP. 2 and see if it gets better...
