I am not surprised.

OMG, this drama is killing me. I am screaming at my TV every episode, calling the cheating hubby and his bimbo 'ho very dirty words, and hating on them.

Someone on Viki suggested that the ending of episode 2 - where we see Yuri get a call, change into a little black dress, and then go to the hotel room, which is opened by the VP, means she really is his mistress, not daughter.

While I would be delighted if that were the plot twist - as it would mean the downfall of the VP, Yuri, and also of Sung-jun, I just can't see it for several reasons.

1. That scene at the end of Ep 2 is meant to lead the viewers to cross Yuri off the list of "potential mistresses." It's a total fake out, to prolong the mystery of which woman in the department is sleeping with cheater hubby.

2. That scene in episode 2 is well after the time Yuri has started working at the store's VIP department, and therefore also after we've seen Sung-jun go to her rooftop apartment to give her money and a (probably near limitless) credit card, and after we see Sung-jun take her - still wearing her old clothes - to what looks like that same hotel room to meet the VP, who at that time has been presented to the viewers as the VP's daughter.

3. I simply do not believe that the wife would knowingly agree to do her husband the favor or pretending his mistress was his daughter, even to save his job and possibility of becoming the president (or chairman?). Not only would it give his mistress face, and allow the VP to see her every day, but it has also put Yuri on the family register as the sole grandchild, and thus sole heir, to the family fortune. It simply doesn't make any sense that she would do that, and finally,

(4) There is no way I can believe that Sung-jun is stupid enough to two-time both his wife AND the VP. He's way too ambitious, and would not have an affair with his boss's mistress. But his illegitimate daughter? Sure, he's stupid/smart enough to do that.

But man, it would be such a fantastic twist, and I would love it, because the three characters I hate the most would lose everything! (And hopefully, Hyun-ah will get rid of Bae). I really want all three of them to SUFFER!!

With the ratings tvn keeps pulling in recent years I wouldn't compared them to other cable channels, and for the blockbuster drama 6% is about average imho.
