I Will Find You When the Weather Is Nice holds first script reading with Park Min-young and Seo Kang-joon

JTBC’s I Will Find You When the Weather Is Nice has released photos from its first script read, starring Park Min-young (Her Private Life) and Seo Kang-joon (Watcher). It’ll be nice to have a heartwarming melo to watch this winter, and I Will Find You When the Weather Is Nice promises to be just that.

Park Min-young plays a woman who has been beaten down by city life and decides moves back to her hometown. She’s been hurt so many times by people that her heart has become frozen. Seo Kang-joon plays her old classmate who runs an independent bookstore, and when they meet again, they begin to fall in love.

It also looks like family will be a strong center point of healing. Moon Jung-hee (Vagabond) plays Park Min-young’s aunt who is filled with concerned questions because her niece never reveals anything about her inner life, and Jin Hee-kyung () plays her mother. On Seo Kang-joon’s side, Nam Ki-ae (Catch the Ghost) and Kang Shin-il (Doctor Prisoner) play his parents, and Kim Hwan-hee (Beautiful World) plays his energetic adolescent sister.

Furthermore, old friends seem to be important to the storyline as well. Im Se-mi (My Secret Terrius) plays Park Min-young’s former best friend. Emphasis on the “former,” as she lost Park’s trust due to an irrevocable mistake. Lee Jae-wook (Extraordinary You) couldn’t make it to the script reading but he will be playing Seo’s friend and classmate. Kim Young-dae (Extraordinary You) and Yang Hye-ji (Falling in Love) round out the supporting cast as former high school classmates of the lead pair.

Monday-Tuesday JTBC drama I Will Find You When the Weather Is Nice, directed by Han Ji-seung (Valid Love) and written by Han Ga-ram (Summer Days) will begin airing in February 2020.

No A3, Nam Joo isn't the lead, will there be strawberries involved? Will he get "his girl"? I won't stop associating Kim Young Dae with this character LOL

Yang Hye-ji could become his girl this time ;) I really liked her acting in Failing in love (not Falling in love as written).

Is Lee Jae Wook a second lead or is he only a supporting “non threatening” friend?

Also Seo Kang Joon’s trousers are one of the most hideous things I’ve seen a person wearing.

I am also not the biggest fan of Park Min-young's bangs.

And it’s kind of weird to see her with black hair 🤔 I didn’t recognize her.

I think he has his own love line.

I hope so. I'd rather have two lovelines than an unrequited love.

Though I do often like the petty jealousy that the second lead can trigger.

They're now just doing the script reading? I'm so out of the loop, I came here thinking it should've aired a long time go...

I read on another site that the script reading was back in October.

I'm worried that Park Min Young will get a lot of hateful comments written about her like Esom did when she starred with Seo Kang Joon in "The Third Charm". SKJ's fangirls can be pretty nasty...

I hope PMY does not get the same treatment. A lot of people thought TTC would be a rom-com and it was anything but. Both leads carried a lot of emotional baggage but Esom's part more so. She gave that part 100%

Some people just get sooo into the drama that they can't tell actress and character apart and also that the character's actions stem from the writer.

The only good thing about these kinda titles is that we can find them easily following the # on IG and they give us the exact content we want( if the drama is worth following of course) but this one is soOo damn long!

I became a Seo Kang-joon fan watching ARE YOU HUMAN?. I followed him to THE THIRD CHARM and there I also became an Esom fan. What a performance she gave. They both were terrific but she was outstanding. (I hope he has better parents in this drama than he had in TTC. Toxic.)
Then came WATCHER where he was one of three leads and did not have to carry the whole load. He was great in an uptight role and I thought his action scenes and physicality were Lee Joon-gi (esque). He was in great shape.
Unfortunately in this drama I don't think we will be seeing that kind of physicality.
Park Min-young was a big part my first kdrama HEALER so it will be nice to see her again in a drama. I will be watching.

Oooh, a heart-warming melo. I look forward to it because I'm really enjoying the drama Chocolate right now and winter is the best time to watch these heart-warming melos. Every time I watch Chocolate, I feel like spring is here.

Ah, can’t wait for another drama with PMY! I haven’t watched anything with SKJ so it’ll be interesting.
