Yoo Seung-ho fights against crime in new teaser for tvN’s Memorist
by tccolb
A new video teaser has been released for tvN’s Memorist, featuring actors Yoo Seung-ho (My Strange Hero) and Go Chang-seok (Boyfriend) in scenes from the upcoming premiere.
The drama is about superhero Dongbaek, played by Yoo Seung-ho, who possesses the ability to read someone’s memories from a single touch. However, rather than keeping his powers a secret, his identity is well-known by the public and he’s seen as a national hero. As a police officer, he can be overly impulsive, but he’s passionate about upholding justice, and uses his superpowers to defend and protect the country’s people.
On the police force, Go Chang-seok plays Yoo Seung-ho’s direct superior. However, as we see in the teaser, he’s often preoccupied with trying to keep Yoo Seung-ho in check — and dealing with the aftermath of Yoo’s impulsive decisions.
Also starring in the drama is Lee Se-young (Doctor John), who plays ace profiler Han Sun-mi. Although she doesn’t appear in the teaser, she teams up with Yoo Seung-ho’s character in order to track down a mysterious serial killer who is known as “Absolute Evil.”
The newly released teaser starts with a group of men playing pool when one of them accidentally sends the cue ball flying off the table. The camera follows the ball as it rolls towards Yoo Seung-ho and ends up hitting his shoe. Dropping his cue stick, Yoo looks annoyed at them. But he quickly smiles as he offers the ball back to the group while orchestral music ramps up in the background. One of the men take the cue ball from Yoo Seung-ho’s hand and the contact triggers Yoo to see the man’s memories. In a sequence of flashback shots, we see the crimes that the man committed and the camera zooms in on an angry Yoo.
Grabbing a cue stick, Yoo Seung-ho starts approaching the man from behind in order to attack. The screen turns black to censor the violence and the text reads: “The entrance of a state recognized public hero who previously didn’t exist.” Cut to Go Chang-seok watching the news report detailing Yoo’s handling of the situation with CCTV footage from the pool hall. The news heading declares, “Breaking News: Public hero causes trouble again! Police brutality!” After a brief moment of shock, Go jumps up from his chair and starts yelling at Yoo Seung-ho, “Come here! Are you a gangster or a police officer?!” The teaser comes to a close with Yoo’s narration, “Investigative drama Memorist premieres this March.”
tvN’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama Memorist is currently set to premiere in just a few weeks on March 11.

I hate serial killer dramas but I'm willing to brave a serial killer drama for the two leads. Please treat any female characters better than Ji Soo in He's Psychometric.

It's kinda like the drama He is psychometric reading what the drama is all about but I will still watch it because of Yoo Seung Ho and it looks like it's a bit funny than psychometric.
