Drama viewership ratings for the week of Mar. 9-15, 2020

We have more dramas to talk about, and more ratings to compare. The newcomers this week were both tvN shows, fantasy crime drama Memorist and medical drama Hospital Playlist. The former premiered to 3.3 percent, a pretty nice chunk of viewers, and the latter premiered to 6.3 percent, which… wow, way to go. Not too surprised, though, this coming from the Answer Me and Smart Prison Living team.

Overall, it’s looking like cable dramas are really thriving lately. The Cursed reached an all-time high of 6.1 percent, and Itaewon Class and Hi Bye, Mama! continued to kick ass. Of course, the big broadcasters are raking in those numbers too, save for Wednesday-Thursday dramas Forest and The Game: Towards Zero. The Game actually came to an end this Thursday, garnering 2.9 percent and 3.5 percent.

The only show missing from the board is I’ll Find You on a Beautiful Day, which was pre-empted due to the crew wanting to take precautions against the coronavirus. But not to worry; we’ll find the show on beautiful day next week.

IC fan here. An almost 4% jump might be a bit too much to ask.
Episode 14’s rating of 14.197% is the drama’s second highest rating (after episode 10’s 14.760%).
I haven’t seen episodes 13 and 14 so I don’t know the setup for the final 2 episodes.

Into a hole. Pfft.

I haven't watched the new episodes yet. But as of ep 20, I'm not surprised the ratings are decreasing.

I hope everyone involved will move to better projects.

And congrats Hospital Playlist! 6.3% for a rebroadcast. That's great.

I am easing away from IC.. but its still a good drama but I really love Hi Bye Mama. I feel like this is a bit underrated and I am still hoping for a miracle with Cha Yu Ri coming back although I am not sure that will happen.

how do you compare these ratings?
%s are normalized? or are these % over different bases?

In that case, if 3% on tvn used to be good 5 yrs ago, may not be good now (unless these are normalized statistical points)

Haven't read the ratings for awhile and looks like the tables have turned for the weekday shows for cable and major stations. I'm sure it's been like that for awhile but still surprising to see.

Yay for Hospital Playlist!
