Hugs, funds, and some important updates

We’re two months away from the launch of our supporter program, so what better time for a little update?

First, some technical updates
We’re working as hard as the token five-job-holding part-timer to make updates to the technical side of our support program. If you’re willing and able to support us (*blush*), there are now several amount options for a one-time purchase, in addition to the annual and monthly options.

In response to your feedback, we’ve also removed the red “supporter” circle around your icon, and we’ve updated the shopping cart to make the whole experience more user friendly. We’re also looking into expanding our payment options. (We see you, non-PayPal users! Thank you for being patient — it is indeed a virtue, as we are learning ourselves.)

The BeanieBox got better (who doesn’t love a theme?)
On the BeanieBox front, we just launched two new versions of the BeanieBox: the Coffee Lover and the Noodle Lover box. The Coffee Lover BeanieBox ships with 20 to 30 sticks of coffee (which is more than enough to make your own dalgona coffee)(yes, please!) plus sweet snacks. On the savory side, the Noodle Lover Box comes with 2 to 3 cup noodles, 7 to 10 individual ramyun packs and post-meal snacks. If you choose the monthly subscription option, you will receive exclusive Dramabeans swag that you’ve probably noticed in our banner. DB swag is hard to come by (and only available while supplies last), so snatch it up and stick it in a trophy case!

Free hugs for everyone
While I can’t actually deliver Lee Min-ho and Woo Do-hwan hugs for everyone (*epic heartbreak*), I do want to take a minute to thank every one of you. It feels like just yesterday that I was a shy, lurker Beanie, but it’s already been more than a decade since I first found Dramabeans! Being a part of this community has been a gift and a small miracle. It’s been a crazy 2020 to say the least, but despite being in a pandemic, our community is a haven full of passion and humor and love for dramas. I’m grateful to @javabeans and @girlfriday for creating this site — and to all of your for helping to create this community.
