This week was the arrival of Mcdonald's BTS Meal. I knew it will be limited time only since I found that BTS meal in Australia (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/food/article-9623617/McDonalds-Australia-launches-K-pop-group-BTS-favourite-menu-order.html) will end on June 22. As for me, I'm really excited to arrive it in my home country (Philippines) on June 18!

3715k - 19th of June.

Summer heat is real and i'm looking for a cooling vest. 2020 summer i was able to fight somehow with sheer idicy but in 2021 i have already announced to not do the same foolishness again. Still finding ways have a fight with a season.

To make matters fun - the room i sit in has poor air conditioning and b/c electronics produce enough heat to create stifling air atmosphere and exhaling co2 creates more adverse situation. The only thing going for me is being not dehydrated like in 2020.

Only things to improve now step by step.

have i mentioned it before - likely.

2020 was hard and i had almost given up and even asked my sibling should i let it go and do things the other way. for other matter sibling said - you are right but o wasn't being practical and being practical to that degree isn't possible even for next several years.
And for few others matters i thought and strongly thought- have i being too weak physically and mentally that i need guide, assistance, suggestion of another human being irrespective of my relationship. How come i lose confidence in myself and my decisions in the face of storm and i stood there looked at night sky and said mother earth i'm fighting and i won't go down - enough though there was good possibility of me going down- i have mentioned it for months in open posts of June to September and even enjoyed surviving and shouted for being alive happily. And i decided only i'll question myself and to the level of highest cruelty and won't let anyone else do that. If i'll be to be kind then it should to myself and in the equal manner the cruelest to myself. Everything should be in balance. If i give then i should taken away equal vale too.

Hi beanies. How is everyone doing? This pandemic has been hard for everyone and it is so disheartening to see some schools charge an exorbitant amount for their fees. My brother has completed his 10th standard and now he needs to seek readmission into his school for 11th and 12th. Its so annoying to see the school charge a Rs 20,000 fee for seeking admission which is non-refundable. I was also rejected by two of the places I applied to for an internship but I'm not giving up. I've applied to other places, I've started connecting with my college alumni to build connections on LinkedIn and I've steadily been working on my resume and I'm trying to be regular with my online courses. I'm tryin to build up a profile, although my brother's admission difficulties are giving me second-hand stress.
On the drama front, My Roommate is a Gumiho was a delight. I liked the overall tone of the drama and I was laughing at a lot of moments. I like that the female lead is quirky but not for the sake of it. She actually seems like she has a good head on her shoulders. Also Jang Ki Young has an amazing body and I know it's superficial, but I really want him to give me a hug. Kang Hanna's character is cute and it feels like she is having a lot of fun playing her character. I really liked Kim Do Wan too. There is just some inherent warmth in this actor. I always smile when he comes onscreen. I am waiting for the romance of the second leads to develop. I don't want to get my hopes up but I am really praying for this drama to be consistent.
Also eagerly waiting for for season 2 of Hospital Playlist because it feels like taht one thing which will really bring me healing in this carnage of a 2nd wave that we are having here in India. Also now we are seeing fungal infections post Covid and I really feel like God is giving us things one after another.

I can only agree on two of the listed since I have a low tolerance for scary, gory, or serial killer material.

The biggest trend in k-entertainment is golf. More celebrities are getting into golf since the pandemic hit. SNS and you tube channels are filling up with celebrities training and taking lessons. Golf has already been big in Korea. Koren women have dominated the LPGA tour for decades. Most start as teens, have a short career to return to Korea to get married. But more celebrities are into golf because it is a way to have outdoor dates during Covid restrictions. It is also a game that one can play their entire lifetime. But it is an expensive sport to play; a round of golf at a Korean resort costs $200 US per person.

I do not get the appeal of golf and I don’t see that changing. I learnt a bit when I was a kid (my older brother was and is very keen) and access to golf courses is not a problem here (depends on the course, but one of the local courses here green fees are like $10) but it is not the sport for me. I can see the appeal of going for a nice outside walk though 😄 so I guess if you need an excuse....

Talk about LPGA, you should check out the 2011 K-golf-drama 'Birdie Buddy' which has absolutely *nothing* to recommend it except the 2nd female lead is a young Lee Da-hee at her most beautiful. Fast forward everything except for the Lee Da-hee scenes. She's out-acting everybody around her.

Golf is more a mental game. It is very hard to master. You can spend 4 hours in frustration but come back because you make one or two great shots in a round (I call them personal "Sportscenter" moments). It is also a very social sport; you spend a lot of time talking with your playing partners.

My father taught me the basics of the game. Today, I teach my nephews how to play.

There were many kind and lovely Beans who consoled me today (I'm so grateful for you all, love u), but I feel like I might cope with this better if I get my feeling out in the open, again, because I'm sad.

My lovely younger cousin passed away today due to a terminal illness. She was only 30 years old. Her name was Anyamanee (=jewel.) She was one of my closest cousins. She was one of the purest and liveliest souls I got to know. She began her Master degree in English language before I did, of which she was never be able to finish. Her dream was also to become an English teacher, the thing I'm also doing which I also love.

Perhaps for one last time, I just want you to know that I love you.

May your soul Rest In Peace. And may everywhere you go, become a more happier place.

I don't know if what I tell you can give you any hope. I wouldn't want to pretend I know the truth in regard to life and death, but... The Bible says our loved ones will be resurrected and come back to life. I believe that it true. Ps 37:29 says only just people will live forever on earth.
I believe what the bible says. I hope you find consolation in that promise.

I just watched episode 1 of 'My Roommate Is A Gumiho' and I laughed. Because the basic story is the same as 'Doom At Your Service'. A woman , who coincidentally has both a brother and clock ticking on her life expectancy, moves is with a superbeing whose bored with being a superbeing (No spoiler, that's right up front in the show description). Except Roommate seems a bit more 'user-friendly' than Doom (meaning dumber).

You might want to read the comic... I do think it is super funny and for now they are closely following the comic :)

I am back in dramaland after a long time that I am watching anything and everything, so no comments about Doom. Gumiho will be picked after Youth of May (hopefully by then can binge)

I love SIG and PBY way more than the leads in Guminoh. I trust more their acting skills.
Nevertheless, although I found the plot in guminoh a little bit rushed, how quickly he asked her to live together with him, etc... I was surprised how much I enjoyed this drama, somehow more than Doom at your service. 😓😓😓😓
I understood why some beanies complain that in doom at your service, the dialogs are pretentious and trying too hard to be grandiose.
In guminoh roommate, the dialogs are more clear and the mythology is less opaque. I liked that.
Hyeri's reactions are not natural for me, and her acting bothers me for the first time. But let's see if she improves.
I have nothing bad to say about JKY, on the contrary. But he is indeed too nice to be a supernatural being bored with humans because they are all the same. Doesn't show himself eager to be human as well... So, at the end of the day, he is also a little bit difficult to read. But from character, he is nice, and that is charming in a confusing way..

After a long time I could find myself completing a drama. Watched Taiwanese drama 'Attention,Love' and loved it. The romance is just 4.5/10 but everything else - School life, crush, cool parents, transition to college life, new friends old friends made this one a cute watch for me.
I miss my 15 year old self a lot. She would have gobbled up all the dramas that I keep dropping with the vigour that I gobble dumplings.
I completed my 25th birthday recently and for the first time it rained on that day. Loved it. I kept saying to everyone that the season of my life has changed now. Lol.
Rest playing among us. Getting banned when having played well hurts.
Take care everyone. :)

Eenie meenie chilly beanie, it’s cold here today, brrrr! I had fun this week in K-dramaland watching: Bakgoon visit his aunts on My Little Old Boy ep 243 with bonus guest Seo In Guk; SF9 take the 3rd round win on Kingdom: Legendary War with deep respect votes from the other competing idol teams and now all that’s left are the final live performances; loved Radio Star ep 722 guests Sung Si Kyung and Lee Seok Hoon (they sing together at the end); Master in the House ep 173 deep roots rock ‘n roll with Kim Tae Won (Boohwal), Park Wan Kyu, and my favorite gentle rocker Kim Kyung Ho; Youth of May ep 8 with nervous anticipation in the air; I’m hanging in there with Bossam Steal the Fate for cool scenes and music; Doom at Your Service - there are some cool effects and In Guk, well . . . you know, what is moodier than Doom?; Mad for Each Other is chaotic – I’ll give it another episode and btw, I love Lee Su-hyun from AKMU as the convenience store cashier. Today I’ll catch up with Taxi and My Roommate is a Gumiho. Hospital Playlist 2, I’m ready and waiting for you!

My impulsive cousin sent 22 bags – the big, heavy ones - of vegetable potting soil for a pickup at the local hardware store. It was her “surprise” to me to jump start a garden. But I only have room for a 5-gallon pot or two and I was in total shock, frozen in place for several minutes with my mouth hanging open not knowing what to do. The very helpful clerk let me take a couple of bags (I can barely drag them to a spot in the garage) and refunded my cousin like $70 for the other bags I didn’t take. She also sent tools. Heh. What was she thinking? Well, she built 16 garden beds in her country acre and I guess a much smaller space was not on her radar when she ordered SO much! Very thoughtful of her to spread her love of gardening. Oh, and 8 ducklings hatched under an evergreen bush in the back, and I got to observe Mama duck navigate the fence and lead her ducklings off to water. So cute! Happy weekend Beanies!

I t’s June 25th already am it’s hot, hot, hot! I’ve noticed a number of Beanies comment about the abundant drama choices, isn’t it wonderful! I’m watching Imitation, At a Distance Spring is Green, Doom, finished up Mad for each Other, Hospital Playlist 2, Racquet Boys, Bossam, My RoommTe is a Gumiho, Nevertheless, Monthly Magazine Home, and On the Verge of Insanity (which had an oddly interesting first ep I thought).

Coming soon: Ghost Doctor with UEE, Rain, and Kim Bum looks fun as does Police Academy with Cha Tae-hyun and Jinyoung.

Has anyone read Wicked Fox by Kat Cho? It’s a YA book, and I watched a short YouTube by the author where she pronounced and explained some of the Korean words she used in her story. I picked it up at the library and I Can’t wait to read it this weekend. Have a good one! ❤️🦉
