Cricket is too mild for any of this action - crciketers get lot of trolled comments from the spectators sitting near boundary and even get abuse when spectators get fully drunk but it remains till that. Racist words and discrimination also happen. But still things remain more or less calm but

But Yorkshire got what it deserved - These things do happen.

Weather - These dudes are playing joke. They know they are rich and they have like 20-30 years to live so why care..
Do goals make any sense? better put money here and do the research and develop technologies that can reduce what have you done to mother earth. naah let's have fun few more years and then we will see as typhoon strikes. Thing is much of the population shows no interest or little interest and then cry when mother earth teaches them some lesson.

Or as many lists call it OH MY MASTER. In any event, it had a no-miss premise of an odd couple under one roof comedy that soured into the worst kind ending.

May I nominate Sisyphus the Myth? or Sisymess? or Sisyphus the Meth? or Sisymess the Fuss? You choose.

I'd nominate Oh My Ladylord anytime any day. It is one series I can't still bring myself to watch the finale because it was getting so annoying. Never have I been pissed at a male lead for been obnoxious and to think that male lead was LMK, its more heartbreaking.

I also recommend Do Do Sol Sol. It started with so much funny potential, and good actors, but went downhill half way through the series when it was revealed the male character was only a high schooler. THEN it managed to even get worse.

Under the criteria listed for worst series of the year my nominee might not qualify but I will submit it to the judges anyway:
OCN/tvN’s DARK HOLE. Reviewing my viewing log for 2021 DH is definitely the ‘stinker’ of the year. I watched all 12 episodes for one reason: Lee Joon-hyuk (1984).

Do dailies count? In that case, the worst series of the year is The Red Shoes. Most unlikable female protagonist I have ever seen in a drama.

I've started over 40 dramas this year and liked only about 5. The worst is pretty hard to pick for me and would DEFINITELY be controversial even if I managed to narrow it down 😅😅😅

I don't know if it's too early to call. But I have a feeling Jirisan may be a prime contender for a top3 position. Certainly for wasting a fine fine ensemble cast.

Oh no. I'm glad your little one is doing ok now, but how scary for you.

We went through this same situation a couple of times when my kiddo was younger, and it's extremely tense and frustrating. Good luck and much power to you.

O/n hospital experiences with a child are the pits. It's like being in a nether world, a liminal space. Reality is distorted. The sounds. The smells. The worry. It's good you are back home. You'd need time to catch up on sleep too. Be kind to yourself on re-entry.

What news about US remakes? I haven't heard anything on that front for a while. There seem to have been a number of projects over the last few years that were announced but ended up in development limbo, like Nine Time Travels and W.

Not sure what dramas you've already seen so I'll recommend some older rom-coms I don't see mentioned often:
- Witch's Romance (with adorable young Park Seo-joon)
- Wish Upon a Star (fast-forward through every scene with the second female lead though!)
- Among sageuks - Arang and the Magistrate, Queen In-hyun's Man
- 20th Century Boy and Girl (friends to lovers done right)

My favourite older drama, which genuinely makes me laugh is The Greatest Love (Best Love).

More recently The Secret Life of My Secretary is nice and fluffy.

Ex Girlfriend Club is funny.

Thinking of LOL, Chief Kim comes to mind 😆

Be Melo/Melo is My Nature made me laugh out loud and tear up with nearly every episode. First couple eps are a little rough, but hang in.

Amazing and horrifying 😮 what the hell??? 10 or 20 thousand dollars is nothing in a Netflix budget. I’m appalled.

Odd that they didn’t even mention subtitlers like Viki.

One thing I noticed with Netflix is that they often hire different translators for each episode of a show. Each translator will translate words/expressions differently. There’s a lack of consistency in how the dialogue is translated, which can lead to confusion especially when the same dialogue appears in more than one episode. Another thing that annoys me in particular is when they translate the culture. Example: In the French subtitles for Forest of Secrets, all the Korean justice system’s terminology was translated using words, titles, and names taken from the French justice system. I’m not French so I had no idea what they were talking about, which was frustrating. But most importantly, it erased an important part of the Korean culture. It was similar to someone calling the building were the Korean federal government work « The White House » or « The Parlement » instead of « The Blue House ».

Why am I not surprised. David (Viki volunteers) continue to outclass Goliath (Netflix).
