Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Kwang Soo, and Girls’ Generation’s Yuri are teaming up for a new variety show Disney + is producing “The Zone: Endure to Live.” Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Kwang Soo, and Yuri will take themselves in an unknown virtual world and follow the one simple rule, “Just endure it, no matter what.” The trio will work with producing director (PD) Jo Hyo Jin, who has previously collaborated with Yoo Jae Suk on programs like “Running Man,” “Family Outing, and “X-Man.” It will only be shown in Asia. Note: Kwang Soo left RM to focus more on his acting career but maybe he missed the weekly variety show routine. After Bossam, Yuri has not done much which is surprising for her to do variety instead of another drama. They may have been drawn to the big budget Disney dollars.

I can't even get excited since it's Disney+ and will only be shown in SEA. They are really shooting themselves in the foot. Money is probably a factor but it's also probably easier for LKS to act and do a seasonal variety series instead of one that films every two weeks all year round.

The season of summer and its brother always play with me - And i also to have some fun participate in stupid games. That's how January-February was -Silly health troubles.

Calm compared to dehydrated summer of 2020 - if anyone remembers. Suffering that wasn't self-harm then n in present. Its how you see it - financial .....

Financial post next week - mainly stock market

green to big red might upset many - but such situations are good fun. If you have confidence, have skills and have clear views then you surely come out as the winner. I saw it as competition and even though was frustrated, physically n mentally exhausted - i was having fun in my own ways.

No one other can know these feelings.

oh no just read the news of Shane - CRICKET - tomorrow.

I'm the one posting for years "politics world around" as well Geo-politics so my stance is very clear and i'm fully confident with it. Unlike some, my concerns n my views aren't selective or activate in certain circumstances.

And i was so right last week - as i always say - every1 wants 2 show good image and do the formality - dress up - make a speech - n enjoy the food. everyone works for self-interest. Its same for everyone. That's why you when makeup wears off and you get to see the real face - even skin colour - Racism plot made the soap opera more interesting.
Legacy - desires n wishes - boredom of age - all 3 self-interests. Human world surely is fun. You just have to pay attention.

Silly me. In 2020 I thought "doomscrolling" would be word of the year. Now it's more like word of the decade.

Monday evening after work on March 9, 2009 I went out with food and water to try to make friends with a stray kitten I had seen a few times. That didn't work out but I had a brief glimpse of what turned out to be Dobby so I headed off in that direction. He ran and hid, but when I got close he must have smelled the food because he decided I was his new best friend. While he was alternating between eating and rubbing against my legs I reached down to pet him and was shocked by how skin-and-bones we was.

He had all-you-can eat dinners Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, and then Thursday morning I decided to make my big move. I called the vet to verify that they could take him, called work to day I wasn't coming in, headed out with food, water & a carrier, and was surprised that I didn't immediately see him. But after a while I could hear his little meows. The undeveloped area where he hung out had a fence with vertical bars that were far enough apart to let a cat get through but not a dog (which made it a perfect hang-out for lots of stray cats over the years), but the fence also had a horizontal bar a few inches above the ground, and Dobby had gotten stuck trying to pass under it. He had cleverly chosen a spot with lots of bushes so I had to home in on the sound and then crawl under bushes to pull him out.

Then it was food, water, affection, shove him into the carrier and off on our merry way to the vet.

Jerk promptly expressed his gratitude for all the food by pooping in the carrier.

I had planned to have him vaccinated and "fixed" and then take him home, but the vet wasn't sure he could survive that in his condition (less than 5 1/2 pounds for a full grown cat is not good) and wanted to keep him over the weekend. When I picked him up Monday evening he was up to 6 pounds 2 ounces, despite the loss to two important bits.

He was so weak at first that he couldn't even go up and down stairs, but as he recovered there were some epic interactions between him and Voldemort. Dobby was indoors-only but Voldemort spent much of his time outside having quality time with birds and mice, so he mostly wanted do rest when he was inside while Dobby wanted to play or cuddle. Voldemort would try to escape by sitting on furniture that his new friend couldn't get up onto, but as Dobby gradually gained strength I'd see him standing on his hind legs trying to pull himself up onto Voldemort's refuge and getting a series of rapid slaps in the face, which never managed to deter him.

Eventually Dobby got strong enough to jump up onto desks and Voldemort had to resort to more passive/aggressive measures. I'd often see him grooming Dobby until Dobby decided to escape. Often there would be a headlock and forced licking. With his coordination/neurological issues Dobby never managed to clean himself like a normal cat, so I was perfectly happy to see Voldemort licking his face and the inside of his ears. I certainly wasn't about to do it...

Nice story! I'm a "dog person" and not a "cat person" but I think anyone who has pets knows just how much they add to our lives, and how painful it is to let them go, so my condolences for Dobby.
Since every k-drama I've ever watched has my dog lying at my feet, I've really been struck by how infrequently pets play an important role in the stories, whether they are romances, police procedurals, or slice of life melodramas. Of course there have been a few, but its not many given how reliably a pet could serve as a plot device. I assume that's because so many of them are set in the city, but surely that's changing in real life Seoul. My niece lives in New York city in a tiny apartment, and when we visited it seemed like her bed and couch were there primarily for her large dog's convenience. And this was pre-Covid and its pet surge, so I bet its now raining cats and dogs everyday!

That’s a lovely story. They really are part of the family and it’s so sad when you have to let them go. 💔

The filter or the camera that they are using on the drama "39", to hide the skin imperfections and only show that all the people in that drama have amazing, beautiful skin is so freaking distracting. It blurs out everything else. It gets worst when it is either outside the parents restaurant or the in garden where the 2 doctors sit to drink wine. You almost cant see what is what in the background. It is so distracting, my eyes and my brain cant connect. I think I am watching one of these beauty gurus you tube channel.

Stop the blur.

Yes, people are noticing more technical issues which is distracting to the viewer. An unsteady camera was another.

A few high-profile recent cdramas have received lots of complaints about filters.

One turned everything greenish-grayish. Clothing, clouds, air... Looked like smog to me.

The other's beauty/skin-smoothing filter smoothed away some of male lead's facial bone structure making his face kind of puffy. It's other filters made female lead's clothing's green patterns into almost white which blended in with the rest of "white" robe, as well as turned her shiny blue gemstone green and dull. Drama streamed on 2 platforms. One platform eventually somehow changed the filters to bring back more vibrant colors.

I have noticed filters getting more and more intense and it just gets distracting. I may not be the main target market but I prefer people to look like people and not animations. (See also face tune and other such things on instagram)

Yup! Besides giving me a complex about my own normal skin.....it gives the impression that the actors have teeny tiny little lights under their skin that radiate out into the atmosphere.

this even happens on network news -- watch anderson co oper in ukraine - his face is smooth, then you see his neck.

rather "nice" to know not only women suffer from the crepe neck with age, but that's how you can tell there is a face filter for the reporters...

let's just age gracefully, shall we? i say this at age 65, the wrinkles are inevitable, the middle weight gain for post menopausal women is inevitable... i'm not going to starve myself or spend money to try to erase my wisdom lines or grey/white hair (yes, i quit dying during pandemic, best time to grow out the pepe le pew racing stripe grow-out!)...

Happy weekend Beanies and keep Beaning On!

Spring break was anything but a break for me, but either being busy or feeling exhausted afterwards gives you little opportunity to overthink or feel anxious, so that is a win in my book. Schools were closed, so my godsiblings were at our place most of the time, and there were plenty of urgent errands to run and skills to learn on our ‘free’ days. In the end, we were worn out anyway, no matter what the day entailed.😴

An advantage of being exhausted, aside from enjoying bedtime, is the art not giving a bleep about your responsibilities. A necessary gift for perfectionists like myself. So in the evenings I found myself watching a new K-drama premiere instead of cleaning out my room and ironing clothes. Take a guess what tomorrow’s ‘free’ day schedule says…after sleeping in of course.😉

It's spring break here, though I will be working. Netflix seems to have dropped an entire bunch of K-dramas and now I'm just confounded by which one to watch, besides the ones I am already devoting my time to.
Does anyone reccomend Sky Castle?
