I work in healthcare. Not primary care, it’s specialty. We’re still seeing patients, with some restrictions, but I’m starting to get anxious. I’m healthy and young but I’m afraid of taking something home to my family. And at the same time I can’t afford to not work. It’s been a tough week beanies. I can’t believe it’s just Tuesday. People insist on coming in because they’re off work and school but to me it’s such unnecessary exposure to not just themselves but to our staff. Staying open for emergency patients seems reasonable to me but having you bring in your teenagers just to take advantage of schools being closed is so inconsiderate to others. Just stay home! Leave our schedule open for people who are experiencing pain! We’re completely booked this week and today I had to tell one patient over the phone that my next available wasn’t until next Monday, even though he was in really bad pain. Why are we as humans so selfish sometimes? 😔
