Lock Down Stories:
So I binged watched Go Back Couple in two days. The whole drama was so touching and poignant just like Hi Bye Mama is but I have to say that I think the laughs came more naturally in Go Back Spouses than it does in Hi Bye Mama tho it could just be Son Ho Joon.
I do kinda wish that there was no noble idiocy in the last epsiode. The car accident was weaved in well with how Jin Joo realized that she cannot be his guardian but the noble idiocy was plain idiotic. Instead I wanted scenes of Jin Joo and Bang Do living there daily life having fights but talking about it and working on it instead of sweeping them under the rug. I also wanted scenes of all of the friends getting together and just hanging out. Also since we know Bang Do’s work life was trash i really wanted to see how he is doing in the new present!! Buut overall the show is very well done so I can let go of these qualms. I really liked how they concluded the time travelling aspect 😂 and that scene when Jin Joo wakes up and keeps following her mom around will always stay with me for a long time!!

Both tears and laughs are kind of forced in Hi Bye Mama but come naturally in GO Back couple. I give Lee Yi kying a lot of credit for that in GBC. Also how GBC had us intrigued about the ending but in HBM we kind of all know how this will work out so there’s lesser investment in the show.
I like to think that he learned that he shouldn’t have to bow and slave so much in his job, and changed jobs. Even if he changes jobs more than once, and even if he still isn’t doing very well financially, it is better than what he was going through before. He looked happy, so he must be at least mentally content in his job now…

I called my Mom after watching that show. We are close but I felt closer to her after GBC.

Go Back Couple is one of the best Kdramas I watched. It was just so organic
