All right romance loving Beanies. What is your all time, favorite most romantic scene in a drama?
Off the top of my head I have two:
—When Dong-man tells Ae-Ra that he’s not a half grown kid. He k ow what he’s doing. He’s in an apartment, on a bed alone with the woman he likes. Not a single part of him wants to be a gentleman. He wants to let his basic instincts take control (and do what grown folk do). But this isn’t homework. They don’t need a dramatic turning point in their relationship. And then he pulls her close so he can hold her all night. And when she says that she feels like she’s going to.die he looks down at her and asks if it’s “gas, gas, gas” and when she says no, her heart is beating too hard he gives her a little kiss on the forehead and they go to sleep.
—literally any moment in Iswak so I’ll narrow it down:
—can you see me?
—you don’t have to count anymore
—when she visits him.but doesn’t know his passcode to his apartment and he knocks her on the head, “it’s your birthday” (which is also a frustration because she doesn’t even try
And an honorable mention, from somewhere in the iswak remake world: either when he’s first leaving to work as a doctor in a village for a year, or after he comes home for a visit and he’s preparing to leave again. He pulls her close to him in a big hug and whispers to her to please hurry up and pass her test. Their deal is after she passes her nursing exam she’ll come and stay with him. He’s normally such an emotionally closed off character but there is so much longing in this five second scene. It’s definitely one of my favorites.

I feel like I’d have to do rewatches to really remember, my mind for books and shows is a sieve. I swear I have amnesia sometimes.

Of the top of my head parts that I remember:

Coffee Prince: when they meet each other picking up the chestnuts. When he gives her a piggy back ride (I know) there is something about how is kind of dancing around that is so young and an expression of happiness.
When he basically swoons on the phone with her.

Healer: when he smiles when she saves him. When he wants her as close as can be the morning after
No hesitation in giving himself up when she is in peril
Oh, and walking her home by rooftop or whatever it is.

Fight My Way: When he sees her in the audience and goes to her
    When he lets her cry

Because This Life is Our First: when he goes and makes kimchi and is so happy just to see her
When you realize his concerns over the ex is just about how it will effect Ji ho

Hmm. I guess most of mine come from the hero’s actions.
Oh, but Her Private Life: when she kisses him because he is just too pretty. Loved that.

In “Marriage Contract”, the first ~7 minutes of Episode 14:

When Han Ji Hoon (Lee Seo Jin) and Hye Soo (Uee) are in bed together —but don’t get me wrong… they’re both fully clothed and no shenanigans happened 👌🏻👌🏻 It’s all very rated G— she’s still sound asleep w/ her arms bear-hugging him but he’s awake and has one hand running his fingers through her hair. He decides it’s time to wake up, but he lets her continue her slumber. He goes out shopping for ingredients, then returns to her still sleeping, but he decides to get breakfast going with the ingredients he just got— being so careful, deliberate, and slow in all his movements as not to make any sounds that may wake her up. He even cracks every egg with intentionality….
She finally stirs awake and finds a note, on the pillow beside her, inviting her to the freshly made breakfast.
As he’s seating her—and takes a little whiff of her hair—she sees the feast that he’s prepared and her kind heart is just about ready to burst with thankfulness.
They exchange words of thankfulness towards each other—for reasons deeper than the eyes can see but can definitely be felt from the heart— paired with a little cute morning banter, and he also lets her know of some things he’s taken care of that were bugging her before. Their conversation turns light again—but is underlined with very deep meaning and significance, and goes something like this:

Him: “… I want you to promise me something. From now on, don’t run away again. Promise me that you won’t run away from me again.”
[Holds out pinky to make her pinky promise and slips a promise ring on her as she holds out her pinky ready to give his wanted pinky promise, then cutely proceeds to fish for a kiss…which he gets ☺️].
“I dare you to try to run away from me again… I will go to the ends of the earth to find you— and give you all the kisses.”

She: [This time, her kind heart is moved again and she actually starts tearing up].

He: [Gives her a moment and lets her tears come but sweetly wipes them for her when they stream down her face].

The little gestures, the little glances they share, and having breakfast with your significant other doesn’t seem like a big deal, but I find that it’s these quieter moments—quieter dramas, actually— that are the ones that capture my heart as the years go by and I get older.

Their actions and gestures, their conversations and words exchanged don’t seem like a big deal, but have deeper meaning to them when we consider their situation. Here, he’s finally able to stay true to his word and go to her at a moments notice and has proven to her that he’s not about to run away when things get tough, but rather, he’s here to stay and it’s for the long haul. As for her, she’s finally found someone in her life that she can finally fully be vulnerable with and trust with her—and her daughter’s—life for the first time in a LONG time.

The fact that these 2 also found love along the way?? It’s just the added bonus gift from above ❤️❤️❤️

Hmmm. Tough. I realized I don’t remember romantic scenes much. I know I scream when they happen and get all giddy but I don’t remember a lot.

There’s one thing though that I will always remember. Bang-won and Boon-yi. When Bang-won was in prison and Boon-yi sneaked in to give him food, she told him he’ll get out there for sure. All of a sudden, she went “Do you know why I like you? Because you look like someone who won’t die, like you won’t leave me.” Then when she confessed like it’s nothing
    BY: “I love you.”
BW: “What? Do you want to die?”
    BY: “Not yet.”

I don’t know if it’s romantic enough but omg!!
I might be due for a Six Flying Dragons rewatch for this year.
