No, it’s not Monday, but with everyone stuck inside, don’t the days just blend together? Everyday is Minday from here on out.
I’ve seen some Beanies recently say that they are unfamiliar with Lee Min-ki and haven’t even seen Because This Life is Our First, which… wow, I must not be being NEARLY obnoxious enough on here if some people still haven’t checked it out! Time for that to change, and given the amount of time I have on my hands now, I figure it’s the perfect opportunity to share a little Min-ki every day.
(You see, previously, I was only doing it every OTHER day…)
Today, though, instead of BTLIOF, I’ll express my wishes once again for Lee Min-ki and Seo Hyun-jin to reunite in a new project!
I’ve mentioned this before, but Min-ki stated in an interview last year that he and Hyun-jin had dinner with a scriptwriter discussing a possible new project. I don’t know if said project will ever come to fruition, but maybe if I beg for it enough the Drama Gods will relent! Min-ki has a pattern of working with co-stars (and directors/writers!) more than once, so that gives me some hope.
Anyone who knows me knows that I consider Beauty Inside to be Min-ki’s worst performance, and the drama as a whole was very disappointing. However, I still get so much joy out of watching the BTS clips from the show. These two have such an awesome, friendly rapport, and I know that given a good script and competent director they could make something really great.
Haven’t watched Beauty Inside because… well, because you said it was LMK’s worst drama from the beginning HAHAHAHA (and I trust no one else when it comes to LMK dramas). But might watch it when some time opens up just to see LMK and SHJ together!
If you really wanna check it out, maybe read recaps for 1-5 and jump in at 6 (when LMK’s character actually turns sweet… but still lifeless SIGH). Plus, that’s the ep with Kim Min-seok’s cameo! LOL. That’s what I ended up doing last month when I eventually decided to power through the drama.
Also, I skipped all of Ahn Jae-hyun’s scenes… 🤭 Because I don’t care for him lmao. That made it go by more quickly!

Haven’t watched Beauty Inside because… well, because you said it was LMK’s worst drama from the beginning HAHAHAHA (and I trust no one else when it comes to LMK dramas). But might watch it when some time opens up just to see LMK and SHJ together!

Honestly, there are some episodes in the middle that aren’t bad… But the beginning enraged me and the ending had me face-palming.
I do, however, highly recommend the BTS clips. LOL.
