Also, I wasn’t expecting to see the revelations this early on in the drama. Glad to have that out of the bag instead of dragging it on until the later episodes. Excited to see where this will bring us!
Agreed! I was surprised that they would reveal so much about Seo-woo’s past so soon. I was also surprised that Seo-woo’s fondness for Ha-won was revealed so early.
For me, Seo-woo is the emotional center of this drama. I don’t really relate to Ha-won or his sadness. But I do relate to Seo-woo’s sadness over her parents’ passing and how she handled their deaths; I do relate to Seo-woo’s love for Ha-won (and how she’s entranced by Ha-won’s love for Ji-soo, which seems sort of beautiful to me in a weird way); and I love how warm her relationship with machine Ji-soo is, even though they barely knew each other while they were alive.
One of my biggest fears was that Seo-woo’s unrequited love for Ha-won would be ugly and pitiable, like Ha-won’s love for Ji-soo is, but so far the show isn’t going in this direction. As the teaser for next episode put it, the fact that Seo-woo likes Ha-won is something that makes her happy, whereas the fact that Ha-won loves/loved Ji-soo is something that makes him sad. I hope they continue in this direction and they don’t turn her into a weepy loser (which is what I basely think of Ha-won, no offence to anybody).
