Also this would have been so much more impactful if we HADN’T had some throw away char. predict that two people were gonna die.
It was perfect for me. This is still a rom-com. So a little heads up is better for the audience that is here for the light part. If not, people will be pissed to see a murder in a rom-com.
Also, i didn’t believe it then that they would kill one of the recurring character there. And that it will occur 48 hours later. Hello, this is still a rom-com. No one gets murdered in romcom. … It is possible, he is still alive next week. Remember, that char said “might”
The following is my opinion:
First off, the premise of the show was that it had an ‘amnesiac killer’. People have been dying since episode one. To kill off (maybe, maybe not) a secondary character is not out of place for the tone of show. Especially since the crew have been in danger of dying for at least two weeks since the killer has been suspecting them hardcore.
Second- you can hint at someone’s death in other ways than having a random clairvoyant tell you so.
Third- you say that this is a rom com, but it’s more of a legal/mystery/romcom mix. And in those kinds of shows (the mixed genre ones), of which there are many in dramaland, people can and will die.
Fourth- You’re right, he might not actually be dead, that was something I noticed that the clairvoyant said too, “might”. For that I’m just waiting till next week to know more, but I wouldn’t honestly be surprised either way.
