To the Beanies who recommended I watch Full House – Thai: I both thank you and hate you. I have no time for this, yet it’s so adorable. And so far, not a single bra misused as an accessory!

That song that Mike sings? Is terrible. TERRIBLE. But, I will watch that man do that dance where he is rehearsing at home for the rest of my life on repeat and be happy.

Hahaha. I don’t know if I’ve gotten to the song yet? But yessss to the dance.

I’m just so happy that he’s way less shouty than Rain was in the original. And their chemistry is so goooood. I could watch them bicker forever.

Have you watched Kiss Me: Thai? Its the same actors. Aomike. Their chemistry is insane.
Its the song he wants/is his single for his music career? When we’re first introduced to his character I thought he was singing and dancing. Its the same song throughout the series. Its terrible. I think it gets worse as the show progresses.
:::SIGH:::I GUESS I could go verify….homework who needs stinkin’ homework?

Ah, yeah. I haven’t really been paying attention to the music — well except that they keep using Tchaikovsky’s “Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy” which is confusing since it’s summer and not Christmas…

This is my first Thai drama, though these two are so cute I may have check out Kiss Me if I get a chance. I wasn’t a huge fan of Mischievous Kiss, though, and basically only stuck it out for Jung So Min.

There is something about that stupid show that I seek out all of the variations even though it raises my blood pressure. Maybe this show, this show only, is my drama catnip. Mischievous Kiss remake? MUST WATCH. I will say that the Thai version is my favorite, she isn’t dumber than hair, he has actual emotions and reasons for why he treats her the way he does.
The song, isn’t actually what he’s dancing to in that first scene. But, if you listen to the lyrics when he starts dancing/singing—those lyrics are horrible. And I had forgotten how hot that first dance was. There’s a dance that he does when they are settled in the house (or when he first moves in–I don’t remember. I should rewatch. 🙂 I’ll reward myself for good behavior after the semester is over) he’s on a mat of some sort. Mike is A.Tract.Tive. That is all.

I’ll keep an eye out for the dance and let you know when I get to it. They’re about to get married, so things are about to get (even more) fun. I just can’t get over how much I love the two of them together. Original flavor couple had me scratching my head as to why they weren’t running as far away from one another as possible.

I still hate the second lead girl though. She’s such an entitled, manipulative b***h. But her style is aces, which is a vast improvement from the original.

I like the slow song he sings at the end, though, it’s pretty. “Break You Down” is not only bad, I did not realize it’s urbandictionary meaning.
Kiss Me (Thai) though is my absolute favorite of the ISWAK adaptations. Especially the parents. And the infamous rain scene was so well done, I applauded.

OK, the music is starting to grate on me.

As is Min. Holy shit she’s a smug, entitled, manipulative piece of work. I want someone to set her on fire. Preferably Granny. Pretty sure Granny sees right through that fake act. UGH.

I’m adding the sister’s baby daddy to my shit list. But Min still holds the no. 1 spot.

Also, I feel like every third episode is in South Korea. They should just move there.

Ooh! The thai version is so addictive even though its bad but sort of better than the korean version.. am I even making sense? I think i need to go to sleep and stop lurking around dramabeans!

Ha, no you are making sense. (Or, in the alternative, I am just really good at understanding nonsense?)

But it’s definitely better than the original, which I binged a few years back and basically don’t remember much of despite thinking that it was amusing. (And the stupid bras. Those are burned into my memory. But that’s just me – they made me irrationally annoyed.)

This one has it’s flaws, but it’s much more fun to watch because the leads have way better chemistry and the characters feel more real.

        Yayy you get me!! 😀
I’m trying the thai version of princess hours too… again its the same kinda thing… it’s better than original.. gorgeous clothes and storyline makes a tad bit more sense (esp the prince growing some feelings for our prinecss which happened outta blue in the kdrama)… but well which drama is w/o its flaws?! we are just addicted and will watch anything for our fix dont we?!

Pretty much. If you told me five years ago that I’d be watching Thai remakes of Korean dramas (or even that I was addicted to Korean dramas) I’d probably ask you what you were smoking. Or get you mental help. But in the end I did this to myself…

Hahah! Sooo true! In fact I was one of those now-annoying ppl who totally judged ppl for watching any form of drama esp the makjang kdrama used to be! So glad kdrama retains its makjang elements but it’s so much more toned down and packaged so funnily! Now i try my hardest to convert others 😀

I’m so tempted. The prince in that was the second lead in kiss me Thai. I almost caught the feels he was do stinking cute and all but… Mike… so that killed that very quickly. The girl annoyed me so much! I thought that maybe there was a culture clash that was making me confused and there I was with no dramabeans to clarify.
Here’s my question: right from the beginning, well before she knew she was destined to marry the prince she was so Rude to him. She didn’t bow and I feel like she may have kicked him and she definitely jumped and screamed like she had forgotten to medicate before leaving the premises that morning. Why was she so disrespectful to him?

Haha! I thought the thai version did a better job of that than the korean version. I think initially she didnt even know he was the prince and weird circumstances made her see him in a bad light/him being arrogant was genuinely a thing. Later, it was a matter of principle not to give him preferential treatment just cuz he was a prince? that’s my best guess
