I’ve tried donating blood a couple of times back in high school and they were never able to find my veins. They were still nice enough to give me a T-shirt and snacks for my time and effort, but I’d like to successfully donate blood one of these days.
Ohhh that’s so sad. As much as you like to donate you can’t. Veins is not an issue for me and I’ve been a regular donor back in my country but I don’t why I’m having problem with my hemoglobin count now. Too bad.
I’m also kinda scared of the needles they use. Isn’t it kinda big? I’ve never really gotten a close look at it and never went through with the process to know how it would’ve felt.
Yasss. I think I need to get enough sleep from now on and maybe add ferrous sulfate on my daily life as I was advised.
Yes it is, bigger than the needle being used for dextrose if you already experienced it but I maybe some kind of a masochist when it comes to needles. I sorta like it. Weird right?
Yeah, ngl, that is kinda weird. Not judging, but that’s definitely interesting. Do you have tattoos?
Yes to sleep! What about water? Staying hydrated is important.
You’d probably donate blood often if you could since you don’t mind the needles. I get blood work done occasionally, so I kinda know how that feels, but I’m sure needles used for donating blood are much thicker. Eh…
@chingu Yass I have, got my first one on my 18th birthday because I really want to have it since I was a little kid but also don’t want to get it not before I’m already on legal age. Lol.
Water is not a problem for me as well. My daily water intake is more than 3 normal people usually takes I guess. 😀 Sleep! Sleep is the main problem. For a drama addict, even when I try to sleep early I just can’t and thinking of watching more. HAHA!
Yes I started donating blood since I was 16 I guess. You can try your luck some other time, it has a loooooooooooot of advantages to your body as well so it’s pretty good. Win-win! 🙂
Lack of sleep or your period is coming up, not a doctor but I’m a regular donor and just once got rejected because of low hemoglobin count and my period came up a few days after T_T
That’s good to know that you’re a regular donor. Don’t worry about hemoglobin count because that’s a normal rejection so you’ll be able to donate again hihihi
I hope so. Maybe it’s just that I have a lot in my plate lately(dramas) that’s why I’m not getting enough sleep. Cheers to both of us trying our best to help in our little ways! ☺

Tried to donate blood earlier but my hemoglobin count isn’t enough, is this because of lack of sleep? 😭 When drama is lifeuuu! #justsharing

Woah! That perfectly explains it I guess because like you, I’ve been a regular donor back at home and I didn’t know why I got rejected this time.

That can be a problem too. But then who can stay away from dramas? HAHA
