I need a daily fix of this. At this rate, it is going to beat Signal my no. 1 drama in the crime/thriller genre.

It’s already beaten Signal in terms of writing and directing but Soo-hyun and Jae-han still hold a very special place in my heart 😢. Their relationship is heartrending. If there’s something Signal done right, it’s the heart aspect.

Yeo-jin and Shi-mok might be right up there too but their comradeship evokes a different kind of feeling. Intrigue versus poignancy; hope versus regret – yeah, that’s how I’d put Yeon-jin – Shimok versus Soo-hyun – Jae-han relationships.

I don’t know where to place Eun-Soo though. Maybe she’s the female counterpart of Hae-young?

I am not hoping for romance in this drama, I’m just very happy with Yeo Jin-Shi Mok relationship right now. However, I won’t rule out the possibility that the writer might make me squeal! I mean I was already smiling from cheek to cheek when Shi Mok smiled at Yeo Jin’s remark, when she fed him a good meal and when she drew that picture of his brain. These are the kind of things that get to me more than those declarations of everlasting love/I’ll protect you blah blah nonsense.

As for Eun So, I have no idea. I just know that if his hand were over my mouth, I might do something to it!

I’m not hoping for romance in FoS either. I like things the way they currently are. I just love the prospect of Yeo-jin helping Shi-mok understand himself more and come to realise his underlying emotions. I absolutely adore Yeo-jin; she always seems unfazed by Shi-mok sharp remarks, even when he implies that she’s the subject of his suspicion. When he said only she knew he reenacted the crime by holding the knife without gloves on, she just tsked and went on with whatever occupied her mind lol XD.

What would you do if his hand were over your mouth? XD
