Please tell me I am not the only one irritated that Yeo-jin (and others on the team) think Eun-so and Shi-mok have something going on. Especially since Eun-so pushed that idea with her stupid advances

Oh you know thank you for talking about this. I just had to come and vent about the fact and that how much annoyed/scared I am, that the show might go that way. Please tell me it isn’t so.😭😭😭 The show is slow anyway, and I gave up expecting anything between yeo jin and shi mok. But if they make anything happening between shi mok and eun soo, I would be devastated! Hope and pray that this is just jealousy signal for yeo jin. I also saw that little frown on shi mok’s eyebrow so hope that meant something too 😢😢, please don’t disappoint me show! I have only this one left after the debacle of the best hit lol.

@fay17 Yes! I feel the same! Honestly I wouldn’t mind if the show didn’t have any romance in it and Shi-mok and Yeo-jin just stayed bff’s. But if the show does push for romance than it better not be with Eun-so because that would totally make me lose all respect for this show! I have faith that it will not disappoint me since it hasn’t so far. I am going to hold out hope for my yeo-jin and shi-mok ship to sail off into the distant sunset and becoming their own little anti-corruption team.

Also, the reveal in the end? Not mentioning names since most people haven’t seen it yet but OMG did not see that coming at all! I am excited and scared for what’s to come.

Totally dropped my jaw in the big reveal lol, I really liked that character damn haha. I share your opinion about the expectation from the show. In past, there had been these shows which I was really confident about, but they surprised me in a really bad way, so hope this is not the case with ‘secret forest’ :S.
And ‘I am going to hold out hope for my yeo-jin and shi-mok ship to sail off into the distant sunset and becoming their own little anti-corruption team.’

This haha. Me too me too, and yes better there be no romance at all rather than this really cold and strange vibe that I get when shi mok and eun soo are together on any screen. I do think shi mok and yeo jin share this special, and very distant yet personal bond since only ‘she’ can sense that it’s not that he can’t feel, rather he is kind of disabled at the moment to perceive any feelings (or should I say emotions)? The radar is there, except it’s not working right now. And who better to make him realize it than Yeo Jin, who’s like this ticking bomb with all hearts, who would cry for anyone and everyone when she hears their sad story like either the dead Park Moo Sung’s son or at the fact that the police chief has disappointed the whole department. I would really be mad at the show if they don’t give her the due credit. 🙁 🙁

@fay17 I love how emotive Yeo-jin is with and how deeply she feels everything. It’s such a nice contrast to Shi-mok’s gruff/ closed off nature which just makes me ship them more! Also, I love her little spontaneous drawings and hope she can give him some more in the future. I want to see his sad, lonely walls get come to life with her drawings. They are so cute?

Ah couldn’t have said it better! I really hope yeo jin helps to break his wall, and make him come alive, only a small portion of fanservice will do lol. They are behind adorable 😭😭😍😍. With only two weeks left,I’m loosing hope though. At least as long as there is no shimok- eunsoo, there’s hope I guess. Let’s pray for our OTP, shall we? 😂😂

@fay17 Yes we need an OTP prayer circle for Shi-mok & Yeo-jin! Don’t break my heart show!

Do you guys think “that character” is of the same height as Eun-Soo? *hint hint*
It’s just my speculation though. And the incident 2 years ago *hint hint again*
I realised when the drama ended that I forgot to breathe during that whole revelation. It seems like I did it too when the apartment door cracked open and someone stepped outside. I guess we (or Eun-soo) may know that person because then why use that to cover his face?

I cried when the captain knelt down and begged for forgiveness (and the scene that follows in the boy’s room too). He was clearly in the wrong but somehow the reactions of all the characters made it so moving. I must say I really like this director’s approach of directing the show. He allows and encourages the actors to delve into human emotions rather than rely on loud but shallow exhibition of those. That’s why it hits me real hard.

@maskros I know my mind kept whirling with so many ideas! Honesty I feel everything is connected and that maybe that character did what they did as some form of revenge against these corrupt officials. I feel it might be a little like what Do-han from Lookout had to go through in order to get his revenge. Either way Shi-mok is going to be so devastated even if he doesn’t show it. I hope they find out soon enough to get some damage control done.

Also yes kudos to the director for doing such a good job. But also a lot of credit should go to the writer (I hear its a rookie writer and this is her first major drama which what???) for creating such nuanced characters with so much depth. I love how no body is completely right or wrong but they are all sort of grey characters like we saw with Team Leader Choi. It broke my heart when he apologized knowing what he did was wrong but also he was wrong to do that in the first place. Just these characters are so real to me and I feel not enough writers write like that so kudos to her for doing such a great job
