So I’ve just finished Suspicious Partner! (need to read the recap + comments of the last two episodes). I was disappointed. I loved the first half so much + IRY is one of my favorite dramas. 🙁
I am actually quite happy and feel some strange satisfaction from the fact that I didnt like SP as much as I did IRY. the latter is still no. 1. thank goodness. But I did enjoy SP. It did not fulfill all the expectations, like the awaited reconciliation for JW & EH, it also got a bit more slice of life later rather than suspenseful mystery romance, but all the characters were very hard to let go. I am still upset that I don´t get to see them any more, especially Chief Bang and Eun Hyuk… and Ji Hae, who became really interesting with her remarks. They felt like real people and the Five Crazy Lawyers should be a 180 episode sitcom or something. Can´t even think about it, I am moping again.
Yes I definitely liked the slice of life aspect e.g. how Ji wook is so different when he’s working vs. being cute in front of bong hee. I guess my expectations were just too high. I think I would have liked it better if I didn’t know it was by the same writer. I loved Ji Hae too – though I wished they gave yoo jung more awesomeness, her character felt the weakest when she was out of work.
