    They had a member leave and decided to create their own company which they are CEOs of 😍😍 They’re new name is Highlight and they’re doing so well!

        As a fan, I’m glad you like their music. Maybe, you should start watching their variety shows especially BEAST Showtime. They are natural and funny. Haha!

        And to answer your question, they changed their name because of copyright issue. Cube Ent (w/c is their previous company) owns their name BEAST. They decided to leave the company after their contract expiration, that is why they came up to a new name which is HIGHLIGHT to avoid the copyright issue. 🙂

    Their contract ended, so they ended up leaving Cube. I would guess they wanted more creative control and control over their schedules. Cube owns the rights for their songs and name so they can’t perform any of their songs as Beast (I think there are some exceptions since some of their songs one of the members wrote and they can “cover” the songs like they did in Weekly Idol), so that’s why they go by Highlight now.

    What @crysta said and because honestly, at the time of their renewal, Cube was having a lot of internal problems and shitty management. Things only started to get better at Cube once the old CEO came back.
