Lingerie Girls is sooo good…
I like how the kids are central and yet there is so much happening in the background… and one can feel the dark undercurrents of the oppressive regime.
Exactly. They worried about ordinary stuff like exam, homework, first love, and friendship. But there are so much dark things happening in the adults’ life around them. And while I squealed happily when the 2 girls finally became friends, or busy cheered Dong-moon on to win the girl’s heart, I also couldn’t help but feel that uneasiness that somehow everything would turn to worse.
Welcome to our own little party! I love that too. There’s a sense of universality to it. Teenagers all over have worried about the same kind of stuff every generation, but you also can feel the vastly different world they’re living in just a few generations back.
