I finally watched the first film in the Rurouni Kenshin trilogy. I’ve been meaning to watch it for a while but there was no excuse when I found I already owned a copy!
It was great. I bought some DVDs when I was in London earlier in the year and hadn’t remembered it was one of them. They’ve been waiting and we finally sorted everything out and put them on the shelves. Now I want to watch the next two!
I have the DVD of the first one only. I ordered it from Amazon because the legit stores in the small town I was staying in the US at that time were not selling any copies. The movie also had a limited run on select theaters in key major cities.
My friend sent me the movie files for the next two (ooops, sorry movie/dvd distributor 😊 ). Anyway, happy watching! Glad I’ve found another beanie who likes Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X 😊
I definitely want to watch the next two in the sequence. I had assumed that they were all set in an earlier period so it was interesting to find out that it was taking place in the late nineteenth century.
Oh! This, I have to comment (with background): Satoh Takeru is my ultimate Bias. The bias to beat all biases. I don’t think I’ve ever fallen in love with anyone – in my life or celebrity – the way I feel in love with Satoh Takeru a few years ago. Thankfully I’m recovering now – but to end my mild and contained fan girl reaction:
Isn’t he awesome? ^^ I’m so happy he’s doing so well in his career.

I thought they were all good and it seems to be an interesting period. I love the details too. Of course he is cute, too. 🙂

That good eh? It’s great when all the films are good. Is it the same director?

Yes it is that good. I think everything was filmed as a whole and then released in parts 😊

Oh. That is so much better. I suppose normally it depends on the success/funding.

I looooove Rurouni Kenshin! All 3 of them! ♥
I’ve watched it a couple of times, Takeru Satoh was really awesome and perfect for the role! And the fight scenes were just breath-taking

I agree he seems really well cast and the fight scenes were excellent. I need to get the other two now!
